Normally I have no issues with main street... Today there was one waitress and we were told to wait so tables could be cleaned we waited patiently as someone came from the kitchen to clean tables and booths... Someone tried to come in behind us and just seat themselves the same and only waitress told her the same thing, to wait for a clean table. 15 minutes goes by and she tells us to seat ourselves and we do and overhear her turn away a 15 top while two 6 seater tables were empty in the middle of the restaurant. She explained she was by herself and CANT take 15 today. She went back into the kitchen grabbed food brought it to a table and we asked for a high chair for my son and she pointed and said you can get it yourself... We got up and left... Just a poor attitude... I get it you're by yourself but if you want to make money you honestly need to be more polite and if you have a job with people maybe pretend to be a people person even if overwhelmed fake it till you make it... We met the woman who asked for a 15 top outside and found out they were coming from a funeral.. you never know what people are dealing with just be kind read more

A very nice place, it has a garden outside and you can even eat outside. Even if you order to go they don't mess up the order. The food is amazing, 10/10. The service is great, their staff is very polite and they aren't rude. Every time I order I get the Burger and they actually put gravy on your fries instead of having a cup of gravy on the side! Went because of good reviews and nothing else seemed good in Tupper Lake...was heavily disappointed. Server was unfriendly and slow, taking our orders 20 minutes after being seated and not refilling my drink after promising she would. Our food took forever, but one person in my party ordered a calzone and I think those they ACTUALLY make fresh. Food was subpar and I didn't receive my side sauce until I went up and asked the waitress because she was so inattentive to our table. Would not recommend or ever come back. read more

If I could give 0 STARS I would!!!! Awful!! Tiny place... waited 15min for a waitress to ask us for our drink order. Waitress was a young girl who knew NOTHING! She was rude and would never come to the table. Finally ordered food and a table that came in 15/20 min after us got their food first. Then food comes... even the simple things like a burger were bad and done wrong! My father in law ordered a "signature burger" which had toppings... he gets the burger and NONE of the toppings were on it. When he asked the waitress she said she didn't even know what was on their "signature burger" and walked away. Didn't offer to get him ANYTHING that was supposed to be on the burger or asked to make it better. The fastest thing this girl did was drop the check. HORRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. First time at this place, the star is for enchanting street view of the restaurant but enchantment ends as you walk in and get a glimpse of your meal. Nothing in this place is home made. Let me start with my meal first: 1. Soup. I ordered turkey and vegetables. It came in a cute cup. But that's about all there is to creativity. It was most definitely canned soup, extremely salty and with processed turkey. Watch out, I use quite a bit of salt on my meals but that was too much even for me. My boyfriend hardly ever uses salt and for him it was even worse. I'd call this soup "a stroke in a cup". 2. I also ordered "Patty Melt" Black Angus burger with Swiss cheese on a rye bread. Let me forewarn you, Angus is a processed thin patty. Swiss cheese was topped with some cheddar cheese for some reason. I took one bite of that and was done. I would have gotten a better one at McDonalds for much less and that my friends is pretty sad. Chips that came with that sandwich were not fresh, that is to avoid word "stale" Now let me describe my bf's fajita. It was not what one would expect. Stuffed with so much onion that you couldn't see or taste much of anything else. Half through the meal he told me "thank god for sour cream" that came with salsa, that more resembled ketchup or sauce rather than actual salsa. Mushrooms in the fajita looked canned and were mostly stems and there was hardly any chicken. The side to the fajita was lettuce and chopped tomatoes placed on top. Half way through the meal the waitress came up and enquired if something was wrong withy meal as I wasn't eating. I explained politely that I was just not expecting processed burger. She stated that the patty's do come frozen and proceeded to defend the meal and was offended by my comment. She kept giving us attitude after that. Inside the place as some reviews pointed out lights do flicker and some benches are torn and taped. The place was excessively cold for the time of year. It was 68 degrees out. That all mostly wouldn't matter much if the food was great, but it wasn't. I guess to each their own, but as for me, I'm not stepping foot into this place again. read more

My favorite local restaurant. Service is prompt but this is not a fast food place. I just had the best omelet ever, and that is not unusual. The menu is extensive and well presented. Its an ok place to eat. Lighting keeps flickering? Seems like waiting for ever for food. The food was alright. I ordered a burger didn't get mayo, And the french fries were fried in old oil.. Blah. The burger wasn't big at all in fact the bun was bigger.. Not impressed. I received my appetizer 5 min before my dinner. Wasn't timed well. Just the facts... 1) Open face turkey sandwich came with shaved turkey, mashed potatoes, and a small portion of canned cranberry sauce. My wife asked for gravy on the side, and they incorrectly interpreted that to apply only to the mashed potatoes, smothering her sandwich with gravy. This was a plus for me, as I got to eat both slices of her bread, in addition to eating my own meal! 2) As is often the case, the Eggs w/Corned Beef Hash breakfast does not also come with home fries. What a delightful place to stop on a long road trip! The restaurant is super sweet and homey. It has a little patio/fern garden thing out front with all sorts of christmas lights and hanging glasswork and things that make for a lovely window view and a more secluded feel, even though it is on a decent sized road. I didn't have my kids with me, but I would have been very comfortable bringing them. Our waitress was cute and super friendly to everyone who came in. There also seemed to be a really interesting mix of customers. Five stars for atmosphere, no doubt. The food was decent, especially for the price. We got lunch for two with drinks & desserts for under $20! Expect to have time for conversation before your food comes out. It's mostly standard American fare, but has a reasonable number of vegetarian choices. It's not gourmet, but it definitely hit the spot after hours of driving. There are lots of good looking options on the menu. I think this is the first restaurant that I've ever been to which offered a choice between frozen fries and fresh cut fries! Obviously, there's no contest there. If I ever find myself in that part of upstate New York again, I'll definitely stop there for another lunch date. read more

This place is adorable in size and the food is good. I enjoy the split pea soup especially. The soups here are homemade. My kids love their chicken fingers and fries. Just had a fabulous lunch of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and white bean soup. Absolutely superb! Fried chicken was very moist. Mashed potatoes were not instant. Egg salad sandwich was excellent.
