If you're craving a juicy burger and/or tasty wings while in Sandusky, Main Street Tavern definitely has to be on your list. We came during peak dinner hours and waited ~20 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad. The place isn't too large, and given how good the food is, I can see why there could be a wait. We decided on the jalapeno poppers (June special), onion rings, lemon pepper wings, and two burgers with fries (BBQ ranch jalapeno burger - June special, Hot N' Spicy burger) all to share. Plenty of food for 2 adults and 2 kids to share! We all agreed everything was delicious. The poppers come out super hot, so definitely wait a little to bite into them. Onion rings perfectly cooked and crispy. Wings were plump and had good lemon flavor to them. Both burgers were juicy, but of the two enjoyed the Hot N' Spicy more. Service is friendly and attentive. Parking is available in a small lot directly next to the restaurant or along the street.

Stopped here after an eventful day at Cedar Point. It was one of the few places open later on a Sunday. We were visiting from Seattle and our waitress was super friendly. She let us know what they were known for (wings and burgers and their rotating specials) and gave my indecisive mind plenty of time to figure out what I wanted. Everything sounded so good! We settled for the golden bbq wings and classic pretzel bites for appetizers. The wings were great and that sauce was delicious! Wish we could find something similar in Seattle. The pretzel bites were good but we were already getting full. He got the Uncle Charlie burger which he liked but said it was a bit messy. He also said the maple sauce on it was unique and a little overpowering. I built my own burger and kept it simple with mayo, lettuce, grilled onions and cheddar. It was really good but I wish I didn't get so full on appetizers so I could finish it. I really liked the pickles that they served as a garnish. A little sweet and spicy action going on. Also the fries are hot and crispy and some of my favorite I've had anywhere. I wish this gem was in Seattle. It seems like a great place to grab a seat at the bar and watch sports on their televisions. They also have some tables available if you want to sit there too. I also liked that one of the tv's showed pictures of their specials. I wish I could go back and try some of their other items. The wraps and sandwiches looked really tasty and I love the uniqueness of some of their combos. If you're in the area and want some delicious food served with a friendly smile, stop in. You won't be disappointed.

Wow!!!! This place was AWEESOME!!!! Needed somewhere to meet in the middle and this was perfect. The BURGERS AND WINGS!!! Get them!!!!! The hot garlic parm sauce is house made and was DELISH! And the wings were generously generously coated with sauce. Service was awesome - our waitress even let us try out some of the wing sauces before making a decision which was so kind of her and she sold us on getting wings! The wings were crispy yet not dry or soggy, perfect. And the ranch and blue cheese were so so good. The burgers are a showstopper - they ask you how you want them cooked and they deliver on it. I got the uncle Charlie with the maple aioli on the side and wow it was huge and delish. The bourbon burger was more simple but blasting with flavor as that sweet bourbon sauce was so good. The onion rings and fries are also amazing and make you want to order all the sides on the menu. They have great specials and burgers for the month, I wish I didn't live about an hour from here or I would go and try just about anything as everything sounded good and looked amazing coming out to other tables. The place is smaller but I love it that way - cozy and great vibes with TVS and just a fun environment. You gotta come here if you're in the area, get some apps, burgers and wings for sure, and I will definitely be back as this is my new go to for middle meeting place!

There's nothing better than life when you come across an amazing bar with great food. I had the best burger ever! The establishment was clean. I really enjoyed the vibe. Emma was our server and she was spot on with everything.

We stopped by Main Street for lunch, and the friendly vibe was instantly welcoming. This popular local spot offers generously sized sandwiches and bar fare. My spouse chose a classic club sandwich with fries, while I opted for The Cleveland panini, which turned out to be a simple grilled sandwich with ham, turkey, and cheese. Nevertheless, everything was delicious, especially the high-quality cold cuts. We also indulged in a couple of tasty appetizers--fried pickles, which had a nice kick, and fried moz zarella. The place was well-maintained, and the staff was friendly.

We love, love, love our Main Street Tavern . . .! It's great to pop up and visit all the "K's" -- Kylie; Kyla; Kelly . . . as well as Lisa and D-Rock (Derek)! They will smile, make sure you're happy, and deliver your food just as quickly as the kitchen wizards can get it up to the window. We've been coming here for years, and never leave hungry or unhappy. Great place to watch a big game, or just hang out . . . classic, American bar. First, the specials can really be off the chain, so be sure to check those out. I often find myself wanting to stop by on the first of the month, just to find out what creations Jamie has come up with for the month. Wings are great; burgers are amazing; I wish they had a fresh cut fry, or a dedicated gluten-free fryer, but I understand the limitations with both of those things. If you're a beer drinker, you have a nearly limitless amount of choices, and all the servers know how to sling a good drink. Do not come here for a fancy cocktail menu -- that's not the vibe. Also, don't expect to find salads or much of anything green. This is way-above-average bar food, cooked from scratch, and lovingly served by people who know their patrons, and their town.

After a day of exploring the area we stopped in for burgers and while they had other items on the menu we had heard that the burgers were great. And they were! We had a couple of their fine ground rounds: I had a Doc Holiday and my wife had a Fuzz Burger. Both came in pretzel buns that were toasted to perfection on the grill. They came with some amazing sweet pickles on top and a healthy portion of French Fries. I really dislike when the fries come greasy. These were just right. Crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The bar ambience was heightened by a solid classic rock playlist. It seems to me that Bob Seger and Led Zeppelin are sonic requirements for most bars but this joint went with deep cuts rather than the usual 'hits.' A fact that I appreciate! Service was attentive without being overwhelming and they were generous with the beer pours and let me sample a few to decide what I wanted. When we are in Huron, this will be our bar.

Delicious eats and great service! My husband and I checked out Main Street Tavern while in town for a tournament. Our server Kylie was fantastic. I ordered the Cheezuz Christ Superstar and OMG!!! It was a STAR! It was so cheesy! The flavors combined in such a way that it was an explosion in my mouth! My husband had the Firehouse Steak sandwich. It was also incredibly good! The vibe in the bar was cool too. Definitely will be back!

We completely lucked out! Driving through town, we were hungry with no idea of what might be good in the area. A quick Google map search identified MST as a potential option, and it was on the way, so we popped in. And boy oh boy, am I ever glad we did! While the service was authentically welcoming, and the atmosphere classic American hole-in-the-wall sports bar, the food was unexpectedly good. My wife loved her grilled cheese and tomato soup, and the fries and onion rings were also welcomed into our mouths. But the wings? The wings were next level. *Almost* cooked too much, with a dry crispy exterior, while being moist inside. Even the sauces were awesome, and everything just hit the spot perfectly. I *highly* recommend this spot on wings alone, but honestly, if you live within 30 minutes of Main Street Tavern, this should be on your go-to list for burgers, beers, and everything in between.
