What an amazing jewel we found in Fallon, NV. This restaurant has an amazing service and great food. We ordered the caesar salad with shrimp and their special, seafood cilantro.... both with great flavor!!!! I will come here everything I drive through. I had one of the best steaks I ever had. Ribeye steak with caramelized onions and Gorgonzola (I passed on the mushrooms), perfectly cooked to my liking and so tender you could cut it with the backside of a butter knife. The seafood soup was delicious and the mashed potatoes were firm and freshly prepared and the asparagus spears were hot and crisp. Polished everything off with apple pie with whipped cream drizzled with caramel. I highly recommend this place. read more

Tonight was mine and my husband's first time here. First off, the service was 10/10! So welcoming and kind. We both got the specials (two different ones) and they were amazing!! Great serving sizes. We were supposed to stay in Lovelock, but decided to continue on to Fallon. We were doing our usual Yelp reviews to find a place for dinner. One particular item on their menu intrigued us so we decided to give it a shot. Our initial impression was concerning as it looks very ordinary from the outside. It was anything but ordinary. We had the organic salmon on a bed of creamed corn. It was fantastic. One of the other dishes listed a side of spicy pineapple slaw. I asked about it and they brought me up a cup to try. Although not really spicy, it was delicious. So I ordered a side of that also. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We met the chef, Mr Sandoval. He grew up in the area, but worked in Las Vegas at a major hotel. He moved back to the area and brought his culinary expertise with him. What a treat. Don't pass this place up for dinner if you are in Fallon. read more

Susan, the owner, had also lived in Northern CA, and the food was the quality we expected without the prices we expected. Me and my husband ate here recently, and it was okay. The service was great, and the restaurant is cute and has a good vibe. I'm giving three stars only because the menu and portions are very small. I ordered pasta, which doesn't usually come with anything, but it came with a side of squash and zucchini which I didn't touch. My husband got a chicken entree, and his also came with the squash and zucchini mix. Neither of us wanted that, and weren't told about it before so we did feel bad for it to go to waste. The serving of squash was larger than the pasta or chicken serving so it seemed like it was something to just fill the plate. The food we did eat was honestly really good, and I had a raspberry lemon tart which was very tasty! The service was great also but just a bummer about portion size compared to the price you're paying without a choice of a side other than squash. read more

Coffee was average and full of grounds, breakfast was traditional and good , not great but good.. only "real" area of improvement is they need to clean bathroom, walls look like someone slopped stuff? Everywhere. Door to bathroom nasty! Also for a trendy neighborhood restaurant needs to be trendy, I'd invest in better grounds. Id still probably return. We we in town for our grandbaby's birthday and decided to try out this little café. The café itself is very cute and quaint. Unfortunately our breakfast was opposite of what we expected. I ordered eggs over medium and they were hard. We were so excited they had put out fresh cinnamon rolls so we ordered one when it came to our table it was rock hard. Our daughter ordered French toast and twice it came to the table with slimy egg whites. When I went up to the counter to tell the owner that we just wanted a refund for the French toast she wanted to argue with me instead. basically grabbed her phone and walked away. We watched as one of the waitresses gave someone's food to the wrong table then she went back took it away from them and gave it to the right people after it had already been in front of them and they had touched the plates. Came in for the first time tonight and WOW! Everything was amazing. They offered their early bird dinner menu even though it was after five. We started with Brussels sprouts which were so good and a huge portion, enough for 4 people easily so we had leftovers between the 2 of us. We then had soup and salad, both simple but tasty! It came with house wine which was a delight. For our courses I got shrimp fettuccini pasta and my fiancée got filet minion. They were both superp! We were amazed with the quality and decent serving sizes as well. To top it off they had a great selection of deserts. We tried the apple pie and cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Both sooooooo good and the end to a perfect meal! Our server was courteous and attentive even though she was busy and the restaurant was full. Very course came out right when we wanted. Maine Street kind of a forgotten treasure because of it's somewhat odd location (next to the Jr. High - UGH), but they've made the best of it in spite of that - it has a lovely sunny terrace for outdoor eating when weather permits and the food IS really good - simple and tasty. My husband won't go in winter months because of the cramped quarters - it's a small place with a healthy crowd most days. Open for breakfast and lunch and sometimes dinner. I've only done 'the lunch thing'. Went to Maine Street yesterday for lunch, just to show support for local businesses. I had the "Highway 50" sandwich, which was awesome - artichokes, feta cheese, turkey and dressing on a grilled panini. Did I mention they have cute plates? (Triangles - always did love geometry??!!) The pasta salad side was, well, interesting. Points for trying something new, I guess, but I'm not big on UFOs (unidentified food objects). They also feature a number of Mexican choices. We checked out the food being served while we waited in line (cafeteria style, folks) and saw a taco salad pass by, so my partner opted for that and said it was great! Shell was thick and crispy and tasted homemade. Cafe is still near the top of my Fallon favs - there are lots more choices on the menu yet to try! read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's very nicely decorated inside, good ambiance, friendly service, big portions & the food is really good! The special changes based on the day of the week. I went on Thursday morning & it was CINNAMON BUN FRENCH TOAST. It was one of their huge cinnamon buns sliced & cooked like french toast & served with sweet strawberries & cream with a side of crispy & tasty bacon. What a gem of a find.. After a day of driving, wind , rain and sightseeing, we let Yelp help us. Best food , light and tasty, started off with a artisan salad and great blue cheese dressing. We shared a stroganoff and and Alfredo .. great tast, right amount of garlic cheese and cream, and chicken was grilled and tender. Stroganoff was also flavorful and light and tasty. The pancakes are huge. Eggs over medium tasted fresh. Service was friendly and the restaurant has a down home charm.

This place is great, the only issue is the location. It is nice but just out of the way and you don't often go in the area it is located. I forget about it all the time. But when I remember it is always good. The outdoor seating is great! Inside it a little small and cozy. I have never been disappointed about the food. GOOD FOR TRAVELERS. We were driving through from LA to Boise and this was about lunchtime. There is a nice outside patio (though you need to go in to order and get served) but it was way too hot for that. A couple of tall tables-I just LOVE that when I'm traveling so I can stand after sitting so long in the car. I am a visitor to Fallon and if this is Fallon, then I'm all in. What wonderful wait staff! They make you feel as if you are family. We dined for lunch and for dinner and each time were greeted warmly. We especially loved the patio dining in the evening with the pretty lights and the extra long table for our group. The chef has to be very experienced and talented because everyone's food was spot on: scrumptious stuffed steak, crisp salads, amazing seafood pasta, and juicy burgers.
