I've recently moved to NYC from Stockholm, Sweden. Have done lashes for about a year at Enchanting Eyes in Stockholm (Louise is the best!) and needed to find a place in my new hometown. Found Maison de Lash on Yelp and booked an appointment with Aya. Prices are much higher than in Stockholm (to my surprise, cause manicure and pedi are much cheaper) Around $100 for a new set of 80 lashes per eye. (Cheapest option) You get to lay under a nice cover during the session. Nice, cool and comfy. Aya is very gentle and I am very pleased with the result. They use some other type of lash that I'm not used to and it isn't as curled as I wish (have the c-curl) but I'm still very happy and will continue going to Aya. Recommend going to Maison de lash! I've looked at some other places and this was very moderate prices! I found much more expensive salons. read more

This was my first time ever getting extensions but I heard amazing things about this place. I was hoping to get these done so I would have to wear less make-up while on-camera. Lets face it getting extensions is a scary thing. Dr. Oz did a whole special on this and he convinced me that I would lose my eyeballs. Damn, Dr. Oz...smh but he made a valid point. You have to trust a stranger hovering over you for an hour and a half, putting glue near your eyeballs. All while having your eyes closed with tape on them. In fact I can't believe I actually let a stranger do that. Doing something strange for some change ain't no thang but... LOL All that to say... THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL. Amazing! I tried getting an appointment once and they were like they were booked for the month. I was like " :-O " A young lady named Mayou (or something close to that. sorry for butchering your name if she reads this LOL). She did a stellar job. She asked me specifically what I wanted. I got 80 C-curl with a cat eye ranging from 9-10-11mm. I put some RnB tunes on and she was done within an hour. Completely painless and honestly I didn't even feel her there at all. Its been a little over a week and I've lost maybe 7 lashes in total on both eyes. Maybe 2 of them were attached to my real lashes. But that's the Circle of Life! Water has not been anywhere near my eyes except when I sweat at the gym. I sleep like that little girl from 'The Exorcist'. I try to sleep on my back but I normally wake up hanging from the ceiling. So we can agree these lashes are durable. I get MANY compliments. In fact my weirdo friends come up to me and stare trying to figure out what is different about me. None of their business. Beautiful, clean establishment in comparison to the other lash places I have been to in the past. Lovely customer service from booking the appointment over the phone to the actual service inside the facility. My technician was confident in her recommendation w/o being pushy. The full lash application lasted approximately 2 hours which I had anticipated. I normally would struggle to relax for this amount of time but I fell asleep within the first 5 min. The beds are really comfortable and clean making it all too tempting for me to sleep. When I woke I had beautiful lashes!! The pricing is competitive and service wonderful. I will definitely return for a touch up and make recommendations to my friends who invest in lash application. read more

I was nervous about getting my lashes done since I'm sensitive about my eyes but I gave Maison de Lash a chance at the beginning of 2017 after using their discount on Groupon and I'm happy to say I'm a regular customer. The staff members are always kind and accommodating not to mention they're gentle with your eyes. My eyes aren't burning or irritated after my appointments (which I was afraid of). I've recommended this place to family and friends after compliments because the lashes look so natural and beautiful. Sometimes they've lasted longer than the touch up appointments. So I have been getting lashes done for quite a while now and been looking for a new place after my old place was just rude and I got bounced around to a lot of people. I did a lot of searching and found Aye at Maison. They are quick and everyone is very sweet and is very communicative, but best of all the craftsmanship is a very high quality. I got one set and a fill so far and I am extremely happy - almost no eyelashes have come off randomly and they are absolutely stunning. Just a little note they are cash only. I am really happy with Maison, it is so nice to have found a new place I can go and get the service I expect and the quality I need; working in travel I am sometimes gone for weeks at a time and it is nice not to need to worry about my lashes looking like a hot mess until I can get back to Maison and Aye. After having a horrible experience at the Lash Loft, I almost didn't want to have extensions done again but Maison de Lash changed everything. The studio is small but clean, and the technicians are very polite. I have been here 2 times so far, and each time, the application process was very relaxing, and I did not feel any discomfort with anything they put on my face (tapes, tissues, etc.). For the service: The 1st time, the set on my left side was placed closer to the inner of my eye than the right, but it wasn't too noticeable except for myself so I was fine with it. The 2nd time was perfect. They lasted pretty well until my refill 3 weeks later. Both times, the lashes were VERY comfortable to wear, I almost forgot that I have extensions on which I didn't know was possible! I highly recommend this place especially if it is your first time. I've been coming to Maison de Lash for over a year, and I love them! I've had my lashes done at a couple of places in the city in past three years and Maison is definitely one of my favorite. The staff here is so nice and service is prompt. I love that I can make appts via text message and that I get reminders by text. The space is bright and clean and the beds are pretty comfortable too! I usually get the natural shape, 110 lashes, c curl, 10 & 11. I get refills every three weeks, and I usually only lose a handful of lashes (due to natural fall out most of the time) in between visits. My lashes are always very natural looking and comfortable. Cash only. But have no fear, if you don't have any. There's literally an ATM machine right next to the receptionist the place is nice and clean. It's on 38th and 8th. Don't expect it to be quite; you'll hear honking but the fans can be view as white noise machines? Anyhow, the lashes was ok. I'm use to my lashes being really full. I get 120 per eye everywhere I go and I feel like what they gave me could be fuller. They have wifi here, but they won't give you the password to it so you're stuck with horrible reception inside their unit with no outside communication if you go early... I've been a client at Maison de Lash for a few sessions now & I'm fairly happy with the results. When I got my lashes done the first time, they were really full & beautiful (100, D-curl, premium in "gorgeous") & lasted almost 3 weeks! This was only the case until my second appointment though & now my lashes don't seem to last nearly as long. I'm pretty lucky at this point if I don't lose half within the first week or so (& yes - I take extremely good care of these lashes). So, to help with this problem, I decided to upgrade the next time around & maybe then I would have enough left after a few days, but that ended up costing me another $40 for an upgrade fee. This place deserve more then just 4 reviews. As lazy as I am I have to do this for them. First of all, service was great here! The welcoming smiles as I enter is very welcoming. The place is clean. I noticed the tech sanitized her hands before touching my eyes. ( which most places don't ). Tech is very gentle. No pain at all. ( not like the other places that I've been to). The glue does not sting my eyes( like other place does) she fans the glue dry after she completed my full set of 80 lashes each eye. ( which the other place don't do) she spend an hour and 15 minutes and did a wonderful job. The other place that I went spend less then an hour and told me I had no lashes to work on. Wtf! Really? To preface: I've been getting my eyelashes done for about 4 years now and have experience in places that do a good or bad job. I decided to try this place through some Yelp research as I just moved to New York. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the salon was - again, not being from here I wasn't sure what to expect. Being one of the first people there in the morning, it was nice that no other customers were there. I was promptly greeted and ushered to my bed. The bed was relaxing and comfortable. My lashes look amazing! The lady who applied my lashes did a wonderful job. I totally fell asleep during my appointment but only because it was so relaxing and she worked so swiftly. The salon had some soft jazz playing which was enjoyable. I've already scheduled my next fill appointment. The only negative thing I would say is that I wasn't reminded that they are CASH ONLY. Being someone who just moved here, a nice reminder on the phone when I called inquiring about the appointment would have been nice. They do have an ATM machine there but I don't like paying that service fee if I don't have to. read more

Sigh. I really wanted to like this place since it's near my work. but STAY AWAY! I've been getting my eyelashes done for 9 years now and this spot was probably the worst so far. I came in for my refill so this was my second time. 1. My eye was SO irritated during and after. I wish I took a photo. (Now this might vary from technician to technician) 2. The receptionist was incredibly rude with the biggest attitude, both times. I don't understand why they would hire such a rude person for the front desk?! 3. When I tipped 20%, she looked at the technician and then glared at me like I was the devil and asked me if I can tip more. 20% I feel is good enough especially after the fact my eye was burning. So no. 4. I come home and think about how much they charged me for my 60 eyelash refill. Keep in mind, before I came I pulled out cash from the bank including the tip because they don't take card. The refill for 60 eyelashes after 3 weeks should have been $60 and she tells me $70 and don't forget to add tip. So then I have to pull out cash from their atm once again. Later I realized they had over charged me and it isn't the 10$, it's the principle. I politely tell them you guys overcharged me but please just give the extra for tip to my technician. She kept coming back with excuses. I felt like I was talking with a teenager. 5. Anyway, 50% of my eyelashes fell off after a week. DEFINITELY will not be coming back here. They did a great job! The lash glue that they used made the lashes stay put with none falling out even after several days (which is not always the case). The lashes look very natural and feel lightweight. The person doing your lashes takes a few minutes before the process to consult you on the exact look that you want which is nice because many other places assume they know what you want. The area is a single large room on the seventh floor of the building. It is very clean and has 5-6 beds lined up side by side. You hardly realize that anyone else is there once your eyes are closed. Before you leave, they give you a little envelope with instructions on how to care for your lashes and a little lash brush. After an insane amount of research, I chose this place for my first lash extensions. I've always heard great things about it but never had the guts to actually do it. I made an appointment in mid-January and have been going back for refills every 3-4 weeks. I absolutely love it!! These lashes cut down my makeup routine to less than five minutes a day and I get so many compliments on them! My go-to lady is Aiko. She's extremely nice and does exactly what I ask for. Bought Groupon for 110 per eye. Lashes were applied decent, but lashes seem far less than 100 per eye from Miss Lash. I asked to make sure to apply the lashes further away from the skin because I have sensitive eyes and I had a reaction from previous salon. I love this place. The expertise and artistry that these ladies demonstrate is top notch. They give you a professional consultation based on the condition/ health of your lashes and the look you are seeking. The staff is extremely professional, and the Salon is very clean. Their technique is so precise that I fall asleep while my lashes are being done. With the prior place I went to, my eyes teared constantly from the way the glue was applied. At Maison de Lash there is no discomfort at all and they are done within 60-75 minutes! Best of all my lashes look amazing and so natural that most people can't tell I have lash extensions on. My lashes last and I find that $70 for a touch up every 3 weeks is extremely reasonable. I have seen salons charging upwards of $125 for just a TouchUp. I highly recommend this salon. read more

It was my first time applying eyelash extensions. I am naturally blond so my eyelashes are very light and always require mascara. I am going on vacation, so I thought having one extra thing to do each morning would be great. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way. It seems like the technician (Koto) irritated my left eye ball with either glue fumes or the tape (or both) and now instead of packing for my trip I have to frantically look for an eye doctor. I mentioned to her during the application that i felt burning sensation in my left eye which she dismissed - if she even understood what I had said. No wonder they make their clients sign a waiver that they're not responsible for any irritations or advise reactions during the service. Apparently it must happen quite often. From the perspective I should have probably turned around and run. Entire time communicating with my technician was a bit tricky. I don't think she fully understood English. She had to ask other girls to translate whenever I asked more complicated question such as - what's in the glue, what eyelashes are made of, how long will the redness remain etc. Not to mention she didn't listen to or understand my initial instructions. I wanted a natural look. I ended up looking like a cross between Ru Paul and giraffe. Not a natural, everyday look I was going for. She was trying to fix it but at this point there was no major improvement. Now I am only hoping that my eye will get back to normal before my trip in a few days. Never again. read more

I came across this salon and decided to give it a go based on the other Yelp reviews. I was excited because it's close to where I live in Chelsea and the prices are not outrageous. I've got to say I'm a little disappointed. I emailed Maison de Lash to see if they would do my refill for my lashes I had done while in Seoul two weeks ago. They promptly responded and informed me that they would and the rate was $20 for 10 lashes per eye. That seemed reasonable to me. When I got there, I was unsure of how many lashes to get so I asked the tech what she suggested. She pointed to the new lash option of 80 lashes per eye for $100 and said she thought that would be cheaper. I explained that I only needed a refill so I though 80 lashes per eye would've been way too many. I'm almost positive that I didn't have 80 lashes that were free and available for extensions. I knew one eye was missing more in a small section. She had me lay down so she could count. She informed me that one eye had 10 less than the other. I told her I wanted 20 on the left eye and 10 on the right. She said ok and started to prep me. I though about it some more and asked if I could get 25 on the left and 15 on the right (to make it an even 40). She started to work, and shortly after she was done. It was comfortable and she was very gentle. She told me she put 25 and 15. I looked at the lashes and they looked ok. Here is where things went awry. I went to pay and another woman at the register who was not very friendly at all charged me $49. I asked for the price breakdown and she said it was for 49 lashes. I told her I had 25 on one eye and 15 on the other for a total of 40 and that was when my tech spoke up and said that I had 35 on one eye and 15 on the other. She said that was to make them even because one eye had 20 less than the other. She said I asked for 34 and 15. 34?? 34 doesn't even sound like 25. I have no idea where she got that from. Anyways, I was gracious about it and said that I would chalk that up to her not understanding me and that next time I would make sure we were on the same page. The whole time, the cashier did not smile, or speak up or apologize or anything. She made sure to mention that gratuity was not included and asked if I needed an envelope. I have no problem tipping, but at that point I was feeling a little "taken". I feel like I paid for 49 lashes but was only given 40 lashes because the number 49 never came up or out of the techs mouth until we were at the register. I did leave a tip, though it was half of what I would've normally left had I been properly charged for what I asked for. This just let a sour taste in my mouth. I was hoping I had found a place I could continue to come to since it's just 15 minutes walking from my apartment. My principals just won't allow me to come back to a place that doesn't value customer service. I wish I had experienced the wonderful service other people spoke about, but I did not. I hope the extra $9 charge was worth giving up a repeat customer. read more

I went on a recommendation by a coworker. Found a groupon for this place. I did a lot of research prior to go in knowing exactly what i wanted (first time.) I went in to the building, kind of sketchy but definitely not weird for NYC. Easy to find, walked in, was nice and calm, quiet, clean. Ladies were very nice and patient. I don't remember the name of the lady who did my lashes but she had short lilac/silverish hair so you cant mistake her. She was great. I told her what i wanted as a curl, length, and the look i really wanted to achieve, she told me the look i wanted would best be achieved with a different style. She drew out a small diagram to help me understand where the lashes would be placed for the effect i wanted. i trusted her recommendation. I filled out some paper work, and followed her direction. SHE WAS SO GENTLE. I didn't think i would be like most to fall asleep, but guys i really fell asleep. I didn't feel a thing, i was so warm and calm and it was very relaxing. i woke up and the lashes were SO NATURAL but i saw the affect, I got 110 lashes (groupon offer), a C curl and i more of a cat eye look. I have moderately big eyes and lid space and space between the brow and eye, i got length between 8-12, (with that gradual wispy look, less lash in the front more towards the edge.) WORTH. IT.
