    Pickle is tasty
    Liz W.

It's a 3. Not untasty. Not what I'd call a delight though. I could get this corned beef at a grocery store deli. Real deli corned beef is messy. It's unctuous. It's not this flat thin slice uniform bullshit. It has texture. It can crumble. This ain't that. It made me sad. It did not taste fresh made in store sliced to order deli food. The pumpernickel bread was good. The slaw was rustic and choppy and worked. The melty cheese was nice. The pickle was nice and sour. The curly fries were OK. I can't get past the corned beef. I will never order it again.

We got two sandwiches to share since we all weren't hungry. We liked at they offered to bring more trays since they knew we were sharing and that each try came with half a pickle. The sandwiches were quite tasty. The curly fries were also yummy and nicely seasoned!

Chicken cutlet with turkey bacon and excellent amount of sauce.

The food service, quality and value was excellent!! The service was on point. Worth every penny. These sandwiches are made your way and absolutely delicious. Love that there more are non-pork protein options than the typical deli.

Back again and got the Maize and Blue Awning this time at the recommendation of a friend who raved about the Honeycup mustard used in the sandwich. Hafta agree and say both the mustard and the entire sandwich was pretty darn tasty. Mind you nothing fancy, but half a sandwich was a hearty meal for me (though perhaps just right for a college student). Crisp toasted bread, a fair amount of sandwich fixins plus a dill pickle for $14. As usual service was friendly and pretty quick, I've never waited more than 10 minutes for the sandwich to be ready, either for take away or dine-in. Being graduation weekend in May, we just beat the rush on Saturday around 12 noon when we got there bc right afterwards we saw plenty of grads in caps and gowns come by and a steady line of about 5-6 small groups formed. All the seats inside and out were taken since it was a warm day. I feel like other than days with specific events (like football games) it doesn't usually ever get that crowded.

Curly fries 8.5/10 - very crispy, very flavorful Mac salad 8.4/10 - very tasty, reminds me of Hawaiian mac salad

I've been coming to Maize N blue for years now. I have always been a firm believer that this delicatessen is superior to zingermanns. Maize N Blue's menu is very eclectic and unique, with a wide array of options fit to your liking. If you're in the area and looking for a great sandwich spot, PLEASE stop by this location and give it a try! You will not regret it.

#18 Where's Bo. Pastrami & Egg, green peppers. Challah

The first time I tried Maize & Blue, I ordered take out and got the pastrami and egg, aka #18, aka where's Bo. I enjoyed it so much that I haven't tried anything else there. I would live to have a more well rounded review, but I just don't want to order anything else. The menu is big and separates sandwiches by protein. They have fast service, but a small interior. All of the ingredients are delicious and thoughtful. The green peppers are fresh. The challah bread perfectly toasted. I really have nothing to complain about.

Hungry after a walk around the arboretum and decided to get a sandwich. Maize N Blue service was quick and friendly, despite me taking ages to decide what to order on their extensive menu. The food is very reasonably priced for the large portions and they have great outside seating.

    Coach's Reuben Sandwich

I got the Coach's Reuben sandwich every time I've gone and it was delicious! The service is very professional and quick. Regardless of the restaurant being busy or otherwise, I always get my order within 10 minutes. It is very clean. There are about 10 tables inside as well as seating outside, weather permitting.

Delicious sandwiches and great, friendly service. Surprised this place wasn't more crowded on a Friday at lunch. So many choices and combinations, you can't go wrong. Convenient location, which means parking is tough, but that is the only issue if you are hungry.

3.7/5 Super cool spot, menu drawn on whiteboards, small intimate setting, pictures of old Michigan legends on the walls... really neat. I went with soup and chips... my friend snagged a "Jennifer's Dream"... great sandwich but be careful.. the Dijon mustard has a kick!! Too much for my likening, but to each their own. I'm trying the Georgia Reuben (#31) next time!

Came here for lunch and got the #82 chicken club and #29 Jennifer's dream. Both sandwiches were delicious and filling. The bread was perfectly toasted and so buttery. There was a good amount of meat without being too overwhelming. We went during lunch rush and had to wait about 30 mins for our order to be ready.

Huge selection of sandwiches which made it hard to decide. This place is small so you may want to consider ordering take out.

Great, underrated deli. Their sandwiches are bigger and tastier than any others you will find in Ann Arbor.
