When I went in to pick up the quilt, I mentioned the code and asked Five Star to honor the discount or, since I had pre-paid, provide the discount on future services. Employee Sequoia would not consider it. I expressed my disappointment but she seemed uninterested. I appreciate the quality of dry cleaning but am surprised and disappointed by Five Star Cleaners lack of customer service.

Nearly every order I have received was wet in the bags they're packaged in- towels/mopheads/linen bag CONSTANTLY smell like mold. HOWEVER this problem escalated immensely as time went on- they (Rob and Adam, unsure of their official roles) claim that me and all SEVEN of my bartenders are simply "making up" the smells. The seamstress here does a horrific job. She is either highly inexperienced/unskilled or does not…read morecare about the quality of her work. I brought in three tank bras and a brand new silk dress to have the straps shortened. She completely butchered my silk dress (which was not cheap). It's asymmetrical now, with a crooked hem, and lies funny (there's a hump on my upper back). She cut the straps (but not in a symmetrical way) and simply brought the back up higher, so the crooked hem lies awkwardly high on my neck). You can see that she sewed the hem a couple of times and had to take stitching out and redo it, so there are holes in random places in the areas she was working on. Yes, the fabric is probably really difficult to sew, but she could have told me she was not able to do it. Instead she did a botch job, and it's unwearable. As for the bras, she simply sewed a hem across and left the bulky remains, so they are unwearable. When I picked up the items, she said it was too thick to sew down. She did try to sew down the bulk on one but didn't even try for the others. All of them are unwearable, though, because the bulk should have been cut off (would have taken two minutes to do it that way). An inexperienced seamstress would have known how to solve this problem. She must get lots of complaints because she makes you pay for her services up front. I just walked out the door and didn't check her work until I got home, so I had no chance to ask her to fix it. Of course, I'm never going back. Don't bring anything here that you care about. It's not worth it, she'll only make the clothing even more unwearable. She probably expects you to complain and won't do a good job until you ask her to. Don't waste your time.
