I made an appointment for someone to come out to my house to give a quote to replace all the windows in my home. The salesman arrived but said he needed my husband to be there and he would need an hour of our time to explain why Majic windows were "better" than other windows. I explained that my husband was at work and when I made the appointment, the person I spoke with never mentioned that I needed to have my husband present. This guy did not care, and I basically wasted my day off waiting around for him to arrive. I am wondering if my husband was home and I was not, would this guy still be willing to make his pitch? If I can give this company a zero star, I would. The windows are terrible. Hard to open and close. When I complained, they didn't do anything. They just just gave me an attitude. I felt drafts coming into my windows and doorwall the first year they were installed. The caulk that they put on my door wall is dried up and cracked since the second year. Not to mention they charge $75 to come out to look at their crappy work. Save yourself A LOT of money and go some where else. They claim their windows are better than vinyl windows, but if they let in drafts than they are crappy. Wasted $10K of my hard earned money. read more

By far the worst company I have ever worked with. They have been to my house 6 different times to fix one broken window, that they broke on install. They forgot the window twice, then they forgot the correct size weatherstripping twice. When you are replacing a broken window, how is it possible to show up without the window two different times.Windows were installed in March 2019 and they still haven't completed the project. They put holes in my walls. They had to replace weatherstripping on the windows because they were all ripped up during install. I have had to take off work 5 times to meet these idiots and they never get the job done. Windows are scratched, sales is terrible, customer service is even worse. Management is completely useless. Matt Bell the so called manager at Majic is a waste of a human being. Couldn't be more unhelpful if he tried. The fact that this person still has a job; let alone a management job, is a testament to how horrible this company is. The manager above him Josh Cork is a ghost. He is mostly unreachable and if you do happen to get to him, he is just as unhelpful. Do yourself a favor and check their Yelp reviews for a more accurate description of this company. Do not make the same mistake I did. This company is honestly the worst. Go with anybody other than these guys. You will regret letting them into your house. We bought Majic Windows about 3 years ago and have nothing but problems ever since. The installers forgot to put insulation back in half the windows, some windows were not measured correctly and so we had drafts, and most recently, the mechanism for the pulley system broke and only allowed to open the window about 1-1/2 inches. Every time we have an issue, it takes multiple calls to the company (the Wixom, MI store), weeks for someone to come out and look at the problem, and then months for the parts to come in and be installed. Many of our calls go unanswered and when questioned the customer service rep, Allison, claims that she never received our calls. We have been so disappointed with this product, not to mention the amount of money we spent. We also had a very pushy salesman, who made frequent trips to his car to see if his manager could go any lower on the price. What's up with that?! We also have neighbors who have had problems with Majic Windows and had a lawsuit against them for several years. I think they finally settled out of court, but we wish we would have asked around the neighborhood to see if others would recommend Majic. The funniest part of this is when they have guys out in the neighborhood trying to drum up business and they come to our house and ask us if we would like to replace our windows! Not only do they not recognize their own product, but they can't even tell that the windows are new. Sad. Bottom line - do your homework and research any company doing work on your home. Salesman crossed out guarantees AFTER I signed the contract! Windows were made in Canada, not the United States as told. Windows opened from different side! Workmen tracked mud through every room. Workmen broke glass and got it everywhere throughout the house. Workmen damages windowsills that cost us money for repairs. We financed through Enerbank, which illegally charges us interest compounded daily which makes our debt grow, not lower over time! At this rate, we owe more every day! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY !! YOU'LL BE SORRY !! If you are looking for windows, buy them from a STORE and have THEM install them! You will save thousands of dollars. Disappointing experience. The good: Salesman Steve and Installation Crew. The bad: Delivery 13 weeks late, defective product installed, 3 sets of replcements also defective. The worst: All office personnel. There is no product quality control, poor project management in terms of delivery and schedling, and the worst custmer service and communications (complete lack of). All communications were intiated by me. All defective products had to be identified by me. The failure: They could not provide a non-defective product. PS - The also got the frame and hardware colors wrong. I did get the hardware replaced but a not the frame. read more

We hired Majic to put all new windows into our home. After having several issues with their office in regards to contract issues and predatory lending tactics( let me repeat, THEY USE PREDATORY LENDING TACTICS to get you to sign their contracts) we moved a head and had the windows installed this past August 2013 which was pushed back from the original install date of March. The job couldn't be completed due to an error in one of the windows. Afterword I had to call them once a week till November for new install date to have them come back and finish the job.. However they still didn't have the necessary items to complete the job on their return then either. So once again I had to wait for them to come back out and finish. Which I was told it would be finished on 12/20/13 since they had to to bring out a screen that had broke but once again they didn't have the items on that date. When I called the main office to see what was going on the lady on the phone said that the other items didn't arrive till just now, even though I was told everything was in when we scheduled for the 12/20 date. She seemed less in concerned over my frustration with them taking 5 months to come up with 3 small brackets for 3 doors that were installed in August. She said they would have to send someone back out at a later date. They might be able to squeeze me in next week. So long story short, my house was leaking cold air for 5 months, which was costing me more money in heating bills for a the job that started back in Aug and wasn't finished until Dec 27. I will never recommend this company to anyone. They are very unorganized, unprofessional and not overly concerned about having upset customers so long as you keep up with your monthly payments. Was given an estimate at my home for fiberglass windows. After 3 hours in my home and the salesman "relating" to me as a friend I decided to opt in and signed an agreement. The salesman Mike, guaranteed in writing 1 yr same as cash financing, THIS WAS THE ONLY OPTION I WOULD TAKE BECAUSE IT WAS GUARANTEED 100%. I get a call 3 days later telling me that their finance company would not approve me but Wells Fargo could at a ridiculous monthly payment. He told me if I did not want the windows because of the no 1 yr same as cash deal I could cancel everything. He said let him know if I would like to proceed within a few days. I decided not to use their financing options and possibly go with my own. Fast forward a week later, while still making a decision, I receive in the mail, a line of credit from Wells Fargo via a Majic Windows credit card. THEY OPENED AN ACCOUNT IN MY NAME AT WELLS FARGO WITHOUT MY CONSENT! I had no knowledge of this until I called Wells Fargo and sure enough they (Majic) used my personal info to open a line of credit. I immediately cancelled the account and called Majic as well as emailed their sales team but to no avail. They still have not contacted me about the incident but I was able to get my sales guy to contact me only to tell me its all the banks doing, not theirs. They are scandalous with your info and will not return calls or emails. Shady dealings with these people. We had majic windows put in about 10 years ago, called them about a defective window in April 2017. Set up appointment for 4/13/17, no one showed, called on Monday and they said the appointment was canceled. Set up another appointment for 5/2/17 and they showed and said we needed a new sash. Well to make a long story short after many phone calls and promises it is now 11/1/17 and I still have not got my window fixed or replaced, phone calls not returned, and winter is here and I still have a defective kitchen window. read more

The salesman who came to see us stayed for two hours trying to get us to buy windows and wouldn't leave! He just wouldn't take no for an answer and was creepy and uncomfortable. I called the company to put the warranty in my name and after 5 or 6 phone calls and numerous threats I got a piece of blank paper with their name on it in the mail. Will that work when I need help, after what I've experienced I doubt it. I had the windows in my former home and loved them. I have no idea what happened to the quality. The former owner has a work order in from Sept, still no word. I'm in the process of trying again at a salesman's request. He came to my door and when he seen plastic wrap on my new windows he encouraged me to call again. I just made my second phone call in two days to Eve, we'll see if she makes a difference. read more

One of the biggest money mistake was choosing Majic Windows to replace my windows. They charge too much and they have bad customer service. The windows and door wall are very hard to open. The door wall sticks and you have to put your whole body strength and two hands pulling on it before it would open. When you complain, they don't listen. Also they charge $75 to come out to inspect any issues you have. Now that its very cold outside, I can feel a draft coming in through the sides of the windows and door wall. Don't waste your money on this company- crappy job and customer service. Use Wallside windows instead. My parents have Wallside windows for their house and they are great, easy to open and close. The customer service is excellent. Any problems you have, they come out and fix with no hassle or service charge. Wish I had gone with them. read more

I have had the Majic windows installed for about 5 years now. Their sales tactics and service are less than desirable, but I believe the windows themselves are solid Be sure when you get a quote that you understand that Majic does window inserts and not window replacements. I was not told this by their sleazy sales guys. I had a service issue with a crank on the casement windows and my wife called three times and no call back. I finally got of hold of them and they are scheduled for this afternoon and they were suppose to confirm the appointment, but no call as of yet. If I had to do it all over again, I might have looked at Anderson replacement or maybe Marvin if you want fiberglass. There is a definite advantage to fiberglass with it's low coefficient of thermal conductivity. I think the only thing holding this company back is the service, but they are working on it and changed out their service department. read more

I love my windows! I hope my fiberglass windows end up performing as promised because the customer service is not good. Majic Windows does not return phone calls promptly. They would not give me an itemized receipt for the windows I that I purchased, instead they send me a copy of the original contract. They promised that they would submit the information to Consumers Energy for a rebate that would arrive here. After two months I called the office three times to check up on them. They had never applied for my rebate and told me that I needed to call and do it myself. Unfortunately, I did not end up using them because I only needed one window and the representative I spoke to said that not only did they not do window repair (only replacement) but they did jobs of three or more. However, the representative was polite enough to recommend other businesses that would be able to help me with window repair. Our salesman Gregory was delightful, informative and an took his time to make sure we understand the difference between vinyl and fiberglass windows. We love our new windows and we can already tell the difference in the our home.. the temperature stays more consistent without altering the thermostat and they look great too. Refused to quote what I asked for. Told me that if he knew I was going to purchase new windows he'd give me a "deal". Refused to just quote me his best price without me making a commitment. He told me the quote would be good for 1 year but said prices go up every year so I should buy right now to save money and really suggested financing. He wants to set up a 2 hour meeting so he can make his sales pitch. I tell him I'm not interested and no longer want to do any business with them. 1 month later my wife and I start getting phones calls from Magic to reschedule an appointment. Wife reiterates we dont want their business. I received another phone call today asking if it was ok if they come out to take measurements of my windows(they guy never wrote down what windows I wanted replaced). Do yourself a favor and avoid companies like these. They are expensive and use high pressure sales tactics. Often the work is subcontracted out anyways. Find a reputable local contractor within your community that has a vested interest in standing behind services rendered for your home improvement projects. read more

The salesman does not have a license to sell ANYTHING! I checked with the State of Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, Bureau of Commercial Services, and they said Jeffery A. Morton, sales executive cannot legally sell or attempt to sell anything. He is legally violating the Michigan State law. When he was informing of the company, Jeffery told me they manufacture their own windows. His supervisor, "Alan Brooks," said they do not manufacture them! Jeffrey Morton pressured me into signing a contract. I am an 80-year old senior and he lied to my face! I called Majic Windows 3 or 4 days after I signed the contract. They told me "the only one that can cancel the contract is the salesperson". I called his cell phone and it took him 2 days to return my call. He said I cannot cancel the order because the frames were already made (not true). I have called his supervisor, Alan Brooks, and told him I cancelled the order and to send me an official cancellation of the contract. He said he would have his lawyer send me one. That was 3 weeks ago. I called Alan Brooks the supervisor 3 times already, requesting this and have received NO RESPONSE. Please DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH a company that takes advantage of seniors and lies to their customers. read more

Highly disappointed in our experience with Majic Window. Given the estimate and signed the paperwork in November 2017 with the windows to be installed in January 2018. Window install was Jan 30 but one of the windows was broken. It wasn't until April 11 that the broken window was to be fixed...upon install that window was broken as well, worse than the first. I now have a breeze coming into my master bedroom and was told would not hear from Magic for 4-6 weeks for an install date...of the third window at this point. When calling customer service I was told I would not be compensated or listened to further. Until this last conversation I truly was hoping to write a good company review because the windows installed correctly are very nice. Alas, we cannot forgive poor company customer service. They got paid so they have no issue moving on, leaving us with a disfigured master bedroom. Unacceptable, and not my idea of a Michigan company to be proud of. read more

We had all the wood trim on our home covered by Majic window for a maintenance free exterior. The job was done by one guy and was done to our satisfaction and he was easy to work with. A few months after the job was completed, I noticed one small area that needed attention. I called the office in Wixom, MI and was told they would send someone back out. I was a little skeptical thinking they have my money now so they might not come back for such a small concern. I wont use his name, but after my wife called him out on his high pressure sales tactics, ie if you can give me this price today, you can give me this price tomorrow, so we can go over our finances, he got loud with her. After we signed the contract with the sales person who withheld information that would have been useful we never saw him again, nor would he return our phone calls. The customer service from anyone else was severely lacking. After 3 months our finance agreement ran out, and we had to get it renewed ourselves when we learned the windows did not come in yet. They said that was usual. How can it be usual if they only offer a 3 month financing? So it turned out our install was in the following calendar year, not to our advantage. It got worse from there. The corking job was so bad, and since the sales person did not explain they would be replacing our windows with wider frames so we would loose window area, and the corking would be on both sides of the wood they laid between windows and wall...you definitely need to repaint the entire house...when the contract says you may need to. Duh! wood inserts and gobbed on corking. So after over a month of no return phone calls we finally have one person who knows what he's doing inspect and agree with us. Of course what really brought him out was that 3 of the windows did not have good sealing (thank goodness for the cold spell we had in early spring) so we could see it. Yes it tooks weeks to get those windows fixed and he did re-do some of the corking. it still looks terrible...and then they actually told me on the phone they do not recommend painting the cork. duh! And for any woman interested in keeping the tracks clean...these are not the windows for you. I never had to clean so much. The track area is thick and higher, just like the frame of the windows. I could go on and on with other things we were not happy with. Bottom line, don't listen to a sales person at the door!!! Majic cold-called me to ask if I was interested in getting a quote for some work on my house. I agreed and the sales rep came the following day. At first he seemed pleasant an well informed about his products and those of his competitors. That was, until it came to giving me the quote and not just the sales pitch. The original price he showed me was astronomical; roughly four times what their closest competitor had quoted me a week prior. He offered me a "deal" if I signed right then and there, which was still twice as expensive as the competition. The offer was only good until he walked out the door. When I declined and commented that I did not appreciated the high-pressure sales technique he got indignant and yelled that I was wasting his time. I can't stress enough that this is not an exaggeration or hyperbole of any kind: the man had the gall to come into my house and try to berate and bully me into buying from him. I asked him to leave immediately, which he took his sweet time doing, all the while still yelling. When I finally got him out the door, he tried to make a last-ditch offer, which was still far too high. It was so mind numbingly insane that all I could do at that point was laugh. Do not buy from Majic, do not get a quote from Majic, do not talk to the sales rep or crew member that cold calls you or knocks on your door. I told him we have seen doors with install for much cheaper at Lowes and Home Depot for a similar door. He then dropped the price by $400-500 and asked if I wanted to do a deal today. He continued to drop the price and combine services to make a deal (we casually talked about replacing a bay window as well) which resulted in offering the door with the window replacement for about $1000 off the original quote. He said if he combines jobs it saves money. How can It be hundreds cheaper if I ADD more services? Complete B.S. sales tactics. Majic Window has been a disaster since the moment we were first contacted by their contractor. The sales guy was nice and fairly competent (He could use some more training on writing up a contract) but the contractor was extremely unprofessional. He would call at 10:30 the night before they were scheduled to start to say sorry we can't make it and give some excuse. They delayed starting on three occasions. Then once they did start they were smoking and throwing cigarettes all over our yard and asking us questions about the contract on things we didn't understand and not once did they attempt to call the sale office. Once they finished they left their mess all over our yard. Then in less then a month the siding started to come off. This was supposed to have a 50 year guarantee and we are seeing the shoddy workmanship all over our trim and siding. They may be good with windows but I highly suggest you go somewhere else for siding. We are very dissatisfied customers. read more

If i would only have been here before my boyfriend had them installed, this bogus false company would have never stepped in the house. my boyfriend had windows installed Feb of 2009 a year later and its like pulling teeth to get service. We have found gaps in the seems( you can see straight outside). Our bedroom is freezing in the winter time. The front bay window could be easy access to break into our house(if not for the alarm we have), not to mention if you just lean on that front window it actually pushes in. they broke one window fixing it on the cement and was going to put it in that way until my b/f spoke up.We recently bought the thermal detector and ran it along every window in this house red light means heat, green like means its not leaking and the blue light means it has cold air leaking. Every single window had the blue light beeping on the window... We called someone out here to look at the problem in jan of 2010. they sent a salesman that had been working there for two weeks. He had no clue what to tell us, he was totally uneducated in the field of windows and how to talk to customers. now November 13 2010 they sent someone and he said it was an installation problem he would simple get some strips and be back last friday i called and spoke to Alice and she said she would call me back by the end of the day to find out what happen with the ONLY TRUCK THEY HAVE FOR PICKING UP PARTS. she claims it broke down. Alice was suppose to call me back by the end of that day, never heard from her.. Its time I called RUTH.. I am not reviewing the product itself, but rather the PROCESS. I agreed to a recent solicitor's request for a Majic salesperson to come by and estimate the cost of replacing the windows in my 50+ year old home (original Andersens'). I was informed of the appt. time and when the very nice and professional gentleman arrived ("Josh"), he asked to come in and sit down (rather than begin the process of measuring, etc) which I thought was odd. As the conversation developed, he informed me that I would be required to submit to an "hour long product presentation" first, before any specifics concerning my particular project evolved. I told him I was sufficiently familiar with Majic's products, having researched them (and consumers' responses) thoroughly. I spent almost $30,000 on my house with new windows. Windows are great but I had to stop the installer from installing a huge window on top of the ROTTED sill. Everyone knows the windows are only as good as the installation! Also after 2 years I had a handle actually break. I called to have it fixed and they said it was past the 2 years and I had to pay $75 for an inspection fee. Absolutely absurd! read more
