really great service & very professional. We had a problem with the kitchen sink backing up (and thus the shower.) and Peter came over same-day. He discovered that one area of pipe under the house was too small causing the issue. Our home had been remodeled when we purchased it, and we have been finding a few things that were really not done properly...so this wasn't a huge shock, to be honest. Peter uses a snake camera and can show you the problem areas if you have trust issues :P he cleared the issue temporarily and told us what our options were (and we actually had options but eventually the problem would come up again) so we decided to have him replace the pipe in the area affected as well as put in a clear out & do a hydro-jet service once it was all in place. We set a time & day (Sunday!) and he was on time and did the work within the time frame & price he quoted. Peter was tidy with all the gear and respectful of our space. He discovered stuff that other plumbers have missed - including our initial home inspection. Now things work better than they ever have. All their work is guaranteed for quite some time as well- which is awesome. I feel like most other plumbers I've dealt with in the past don't offer that and just want to throw band-aids on problems that actually need more and could have been repaired right the first time. Horrible company!!! I called at 1pm because of a pipe leaking, the person on the phone said they would send someone between 4 and 6. At 6.30 no one is here, i call and they don't even seem to have my infos, they ask for my name and say they're gonna call me back with an update. another 30 mns pass and of course no one call me. I call back and they say they can't not reach the technician but that someone one might come in about 1 and a half hour. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!! read more

Our downstairs flange was damaged when we removed the toilet to redo the floors; there was quite a bit of corrosion and the brass bolts wouldn't hold. I called five plumbing companies and Make It Drain was the only company that was able to make it out during the weekend (Other companies advertise they are 24/7 but would not come out until Monday). Ivan came out Saturday night to give a free estimate. After assessing the job, he quoted the job and set up an appointment for Sunday morning. Not only were they the only company willing to make it out over the weekend, Make It Drain also had the best price to replace the flange and set the toilet. Ivan kept great communication throughout the process so we always knew when he was going to show up. He also was super cool about educating us about the job and what he was doing. We found a leak on Wednesday afternoon, so we called and made an appointment for the following morning with Make it Drain. We had to turn the water off and were without water. Make it Drain was aware that our household water was off. The plumber assigned to the project pushed our appointment back throughout the day. At 230p he claimed that he was in traffic and then 30 minutes later claimed that he had hurt his back and that he would not be coming at all. We contacted Make it Drain to request another plumber. Now Friday, almost 48 hours later... still nothing from Make it Drain and no water. Cannot count on this company. We have started over with another company. read more

I called Make It Drain yesterday about a leak in my sprinkler system. Peter took my call and made an appointment to come over the next day. He showed up on time, was very polite and professional. I showed him our problem, he gave me a quote and waited patiently for me to ok it with my husband over the phone. Peter and his crew first did our sewer line and I thought they were very professional and gave me a fair price. We then decided to have his company help replace our galvanized steal pipe with copper and that was a bit more tricky given as we have 101 year old house. Happily they did a great job with that as well. Since then he has capped old gas gauges in rooms, updated the gas outlets for our fire place and today came over to fix a pinhole leak in our wine cellar basement that could have caused all kinds of damage; he was there within an hour of me calling and had the his crew fix the problem within hours of me finding it. Peter and his crew are good at what they do and show up on time. Make It Drain came out to clear a main line blockage on Friday morning. Less than 24 hours later, I ran my washing machine, which caused the toilet in my guest bathroom to overflow, and brought up 2" of sewage into my master bath shower pan. The blockage had obviously not been cleared!! Not only did they not do a good job on a simple issue (a more competent plumber cleared the line in about 10 minutes on Saturday, without the need for a camera); but they also did not stand behind their work. See correspondence below. I definitely would not recommend this company. TEXT TO PLUMBER: We talked earlier about the failure of yesterday's main line clean out job. I just had a local plumber come out to redo the work, without need of a camera. The blockage was approx 12 feet from the clean out access. I'm assuming that I will not be charged for yesterday's visit, since the problem was a main line blockage - as I said when I called you for the job, which is what your plumber supposedly cleared without success. Please do not cash my check, and, in the event that you have, please reimburse me for the cost. Your work fell far short of your Yelp reviews. RESPONSE: Talked to daniel he did put a blade and your line was draining when he left if the line did not clear when he was there then we would not charge you. He cleared the line and you did not want a warranty you have roots in the line and the sewer is made of cardboard pipe we cant offer a refund If you would have accepted the warranty the call back would have been free TEXT TO PLUMBER: The line was obviously not cleared, or it would not have backed up today RESPONSE: I asked daniel he said it was flowing and if it wasnt working you would not have paid him TEXT TO PLUMBER: So what are you suggesting caused the blockage less than 24 hours later? RESPONSE: I cant say without a camera but if the line is orangeberg your going to have problems with it TEXT TO PLUMBER: But, again, not within 24 hours if the blockage had been cleared completely. It comes down to whether you stand behind your work, and how much your reputation is of value to you. RESPONSE: At this point i can't do anything more for you if the line never cleared we would not charge you its against policy I can do this i can come out for a free camera inspection if the pipe is clean i will give you your money back If i find bad root infestation broken pipe or collapsed pipe then that tells us why it back up so fast and I'll leave an estimate for repairs TEXT TO PLUMBER: I appreciate your offer - however, I have no wish to have a camera inspection. Nor do I want you to do further work for me. With orangeburg pipe, it would be a miracle if there were no roots present. The only issue is that Daniel, although he was very personable, failed to clear the blockage - which is what I paid for. I then paid another plumber to complete the task, which he did successfully, without having to run a camera. So, you are charging me for work which was not successfully done. I see that you have cashed my check. My expectation is that I receive a refund by the end of this week, and, if I do, then I will consider the matter closed. RESPONSE: I will do a $35 refund TEXT TO PLUMBER: Unacceptable. RESPONSE: Im mailing a check out tomorrow in the amount of $70 to you Fair TEXT TO PLUMBER: $85 RESPONSE: I think that's very unreasonable due to us using fuel and still using our equipent I'll talk to my partner and give you an answer in a few days TEXT TO PLUMBER: The only dispute is of you did the job satisfactorily. I don't need to pay your gas so you can visit me. Again, I will give you to the end of the week to have a check for $85 in my mailbox. RESPONSE: TEXT TO PLUMBER: I have not received a check from you to reimburse for the work you failed to do. I'm assuming at this point that you have reneged on your offer of refund, and that you would prefer me to pursue the refund through small claims court. Unless I hear to the contrary, and also have a check in my mail box by Tuesday, then I will take the only alternative, which is to file the claim and post my review online. Recommend that I call a restoration company to check. They will have to drain drain the sewage under the house out. When call him back to replace the pipe. He diagnosed this all in the dark and it took only 30mins. Wtf... Next day. I Called another plumber for 2nd review. They check with a camera and it was only a clog.
