Got a really good groupon deal for carpet cleaning through this company. They did a great job on my carpets. I did pay extra for the pre-soak spot remover however, but I guess I had some rough spots so I wanted to be sure they all came out. I think only one spot didn't come out, but the rest were all really bad so overall I was happy. The guys showed up on time, actually early (which is shocking for most places) and they were really quick. Carpets didn't take long at all to dry. I bought a coupon on Groupon and was expecting the bare minimum, but the owner of the company actually cleaned our 3 bedroom condo and it turned out amazing! He showed up on time and was very fast and efficient. I will definitely be using this company again. 5 star +++! read more

Bought a group-on deal back in November and when I called and the guy was was extremely rude wouldn't let me speak and hung up on me when I tried to explain that I was in his area that was on his map. If you are not in Oceanside he doesn't want to honor his advertisement. I have never dealt with such a rude business person in my life. Negative 5 stars. read more

See below the email response from Tom after I reported his poor service on groupon. Clearly he has zero business skills and his attitude is a direct reflection of his terrible work. I am shocked that this person thinks that rude comments are going to improve his business. A little ownership and constructive criticism can improve in all aspects of ones life. Do not use his services, he spent less than 20 minutes in our home but managed to damage the walls then tried to pretend he didn't notice. He also left two stains on the carpet that were not there prior to his arrival. I get my carpets cleaned every year and would highly recommend Quik Serve. They have always done a great job and if they make a mistake or need improvement they own it. I've attached 1 of many rude emails Tom sent me below: "Thats totally cool because you want everything done for free...if you would take better care of your csrpet and clean it more often it probably would hsve came clean..and yes we could have got it cleaner if you would5 have let our technicians pretreat the areas but you proudly refused and we explained that it would not come clean and said thats ok that I am not paying anymore... have a nice day" Btw-no additional services were ever offered to me because I always upgrade. My carpets took over 5 days to dry, there was too much water used during the cleaning process. Now the carpets smell moldy and in certain spots they crunch as you walk over them where the water build up underneath was too much. Tom is full of excuses that have nothing to do with using too much water and chemicals! I can't even stand to be in my own bedroom now without the windows open constantly. I'm VERY disappointed and would suggest NEVER USING THIS COMPANY. Nothing worse then calling to ask why the carpets smell and were wet for over 5 days and getting someone VERY defensive, which normally is a sign to begin with, and not getting good customer service. He wouldn't even let me talk, I had to hang up on him as he kept talking over me. The customer should be at the very least listened to!! read more

OK! Finally I found a RELIABLE and professional carpet cleaning business I can count on to be honest and fair and best of all affordable. I found MIHCC here on yelp. Yes I took a chance but was willing to after talking with Graig on the phone. I was in a frustrating situation when I called him after 3 attempts to have my carpets cleaned by other companies. I had an appt with another company( referred by a friend) that once again did not show up I decided to go on yelp. Make It Happen Carpet Cleaning did just that. They made it happen for me and got the job done that day. Tom the technician was professional and friendly and really knew how to take care of some gnarly stains and even some super glue in the carpet thanks to my son and his creative ways. Thanks MIHCC. If I could give zero stars, I would. We purchased a voucher for window cleaning on Amazon Local from this company. It took three tries just to even make an appointment, because they do not return calls. Our window cleaning appointment was for today, 9/13/13. The guy on the phone when we made the appointment said they would be here between 8:30 and 9:00am. We stayed home from work to wait for them. By 9:10 they hadn't showed up, so my husband called them. They said they would look into it but nobody called us back. Finally we called at 9:30 again and were told that we were NOT ON THEIR SCHEDULE. We stayed home to meet them for nothing. I just requested a refund from Amazon Local. Totally unprofessional. read more

I had Tom and Alex at my house and I could not be happier. I wanted some carpet removed in the entrance and dining room and have the edges finished off. I did not know that the tile under my carpet was covered in paint. Covered, a 1/4 inch of paint. Tom was able to remove the paint. This guy can do everything regarding floors and his prices are very reasonable. He also likes dogs! read more

I waited almost two weeks for Make It Happen Carpet Cleaning to have a date they could come out. I spent almost three hours moving furniture so the cleaning would be thorough. Five minutes before they were due to arrive, they called to cancel because they had a more important job to go to. read more

These guys were horrible! I bought an entertainment.com discount voucher for them. They did not inform us until after they arrived that they could not get all of the spots out without us paying $40 extra to pretreat. We declined, since that was almost as much as we paid for the entire cleaning and then they got NO spots out! They were in and out, doing three rooms in 20 minutes and basically just got my carpets wet. I have done a much better job using my Bissell steam cleaner. In addition, over the phone they told me that they could help us move a few things when they got here, but when my husband asked them to help him move just our table they wouldn't. I do not recommend Make it Happen Carpet Cleaning, now matter how good of a deal you find. read more

The guy called to say he had a cancellation and asked if he could come early. His early was the same time as my initial appointment. He would have been quite late if his earlier appointment had kept. He wanted $65 extra for pretreatment of stains. I had a coupon. He wanted $45 extra for stairs which I knew about. I wouldn't recommend them due to all the upselling. It took him 1/2 hours and I have a big house. I wanted a rug done and he tried to upcharge for that, too. He ended up cleaning it but it is still dirty. Don't waste your money. He gave me business cards but they're in the recycle bin now. He left an oil stain on the driveway. Uurgh. read more

Very pleased with my recent service from Tom. We've put off a carpet cleaning for much longer than we should have, yet Tom was able to bring it back to life. His buffer machine chewed right through the stains and spots, and the carpet was almost completely dry by the time he was packing up his van to leave. I'm also particularly glad that he was able to get out here so quickly - I called late in the day for a quote, and he was here the next afternoon. I will definitely be calling him again for my next cleaning - will also make sure to bring up his company to my boss next time we get the office done. As Oprah would say, "Wow, wow, wow." Tom came on a Sunday morning, and less then one hour later I have carpets that look better then when I purchased my home. He was polite, punctual and did a FANTASTIC job on my carpets. My family and I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a full house and the house no longer smells like pets. It smells fresh and clean with a hint of coconut that he used to deodorize the carpet. He also gave me a heck of a deal!! I had a different carpet cleaning company do our carpet when I purchased the house 1 year ago. I just had my carpets and my travertine floors cleaned by Tom. He gave me a great deal and fit me right in when I told him I was having a party and wanted them cleaned before that. He was on time, gave me an honest bid and kept to it even when he had to do a deeper cleaning to get the old sealer off my floors. i highly recommend him and will use him again for future carpets and hard floor cleaning. read more

We were looking for someone to clean our carpets on short notice. MIHCC was the only place that answered the phone on a Sunday and then came to do the job that afternoon. That was amazing! We've used them twice now and recently we had them clean upholstery as well. We were happy with the job they did at our house so we used them at our business. In addition to carpet and upholstery cleaning, they'll strip and wax tile flooring. Fast, friendly service, fair prices and they do a good job. We'll use them again! read more

Make It Happen Carpet Cleaning is an example of a company that "RIPS YOU OFF". Using a "Give the Deal" discount coupon which stated that carpeting for up to 2000 square feet would be cleaned for a pre-determined price, I scheduled an appointment. Upon the cleaner's arrival, I was immediately told that there would be an extra charge of $35 for pre treatment as well as $40 extra for each of the two sets of stairways. That meant an additional $115 to do the job. I was very upset and asked to speak to the owner. I got absolutely nowhere with the owner who claimed that the discount coupon had a disclaimer to cover the pre-treatment and stairs. I had no disclaimer on my coupon and the cleaner could not provide a disclaimer copy. Tom, the owner was rude, uncooperative and not willing to make any concessions, basically sayng that if I didn't want the carpets done, that I could tell the cleaner to leave. Having taken the day off work and moved all the furniture in preparation for the carpets to be cleaned, I had no choice but to pay. As the carpets were being cleaned, I received a call from the Give the Deal company telling me that Tom was now willing to take off $15. I can only say that I am thoroughly disgusted with Make It Happen Carpet Cleaning's lack of customer service. I would NEVER recommend this carpet cleaner company...not even to my worst enemy. At first, I wasn't too impressed...showed up late for a 30 minute time slot they gave me...no biggie, just wished they would have given me a heads up phone. I was told my place needed pre-treated...I definitely agreed with the Tom...carpets were disgusting. They were courteous, but were a little tough to talk with at the beginning when they were looking for a parking spot at my apartment complex. Once work started, they were super nice and professional. Remember people...if you're going to be rude, you'll most likely be treated the same way. Also, most people likely use a coupon/voucher and are already saving 50% compared to other places (I checked some other places) so don't expect to pay just the voucher price unless you have light stains. You're going to get what you pay for...if you want to beat up on the help, perhaps you should pay a bit more for that right. He didn't up sell me at all...I actually up sold myself when I asked about applying Scotch Guard the carpets...they do that, too, and cheaper than buying the stuff myself. They also don't use soap which only looks good for the first month or two, then all the dust, dirt and grime will stick to the soapy residue...that's who my apartment complex uses, which motivated me to call Make it Happen in the first place....well, that and the Living Social deal ;o). I'm really surprised at people's reaction to what they want done to their carpets. Used a living social coupon for a nice deal. Tom informed me about how there would be an extra fee (reasonable IMO) to help pre-treat tough stains including pet stains. I respected the fact that it was extra and the solution he was using wasn't VERY "soapy". Through the entire process he was friendly, and communicated VERY clearly everything he was doing and even gave me some tips to maintain my carpet clean in between each heavy duty cleaning. Showed up 30 mins early, and was done in about 30 mins on my living room and heavy traffic areas. We exchanged banter back and forth which made him come across friendly, some people may say unprofessional but the man was polite, wasn't a cursing sailor but real easy going to talk to. I would give him a 5 but I believe in upgrading ratings as the relationship grows, he definitely left a good impression with me. Will use again. read more
