Shame on Bloomingdales for not being better prepared for the possibility of staff being out - I made an appointment - at the very least I should have been called and told that not only would 1 staff member be out another had an emergency and also couldn't be there. Also, there is also no excuse not to at least tell me there would be several interruptions, I would have rescheduled. The one star is for Ceaser who at least was pleasant and nice enough. The low star review is for how horrible the situation was - I felt rushed and repeatedly interrupted, the experience was terrible. There are so many brands out there to try, I would not recommend Mac, the product is just ok... I have read other reviews for Bloomingdales & Macy's locations and this is not the first time a customer has been treated like this. Shame on Bloomingdale's ...I waited for 20min because one of the employees gave me misinformation that he was just running late - to only come back to me a second time and say he was going to be another half hour but there is no guarantee!!!??? So I left and he called me to come back after 40min! Seems like these appointments are just possibilities- maybe they will show up? Maybe help you uninterrupted, maybe not??? Never again, terrible lesson learned.

The rep. showed me about 10 brushes. These brushes are much softer than the ELF brushes but more expensive unfortunately. I ended up buying five brushes-. Foundation brush, a cheekbone brush, a bronzer brush & 2 brushes for the eyes. I will be returning the 2 eye brushes. The ones I have from Trish McEvoy are much better. I had a great time shopping at MAC Walt Whitman mall. Sometimes you have to shop in person.

The incompetent stylist Alyssa told me she had to fully take them out and re Install so that was about $600. It was new hair only 2 months old . She also did what she called a full head of highlights which it's not. I went back in for my move up which I now found it is not a move up simply pushing the beads up and matting the hair. More of a scam to get more money. She also claimed she did a full highlight. I told her after that time I wasn't thrilled with the color. I sent her pics of what I wanted and she blew me off and said she would do more next time. Well I went back and my hair was completely all messed up from her botched move up which I confirmed from real hair extension specialists in the area it was indeed improperly done. As a result my hair that was now only 6 months old had to be thrown out because of her incompetence. I had to how reorder new hair. Pay for another install which was done with the wrong color beads. She also had the audacity to charge me for a full highlight and an extra bowl of color. I left and reached out and told her I wanted a diff color and she told me it couldn't be done which is absolutely insane I've been getting highlights for 15 plus years I know what color my hair is capable of being. As time went on I got more and more upset and annoyed as I saw what a hot mess my hair was. I sent her pics and she said that she would add more highlights next time. I was done. I called to cancel all of my future appointments and she argued with me. She's horrible. For someone who gave this subpar salon pushing $3,000 in 6 months you would think they would be nicer. She's lazy and just doesn't want to do the work in conjunction with not knowing what she's doing. Stick to blowouts and go back to beauty school and get a class on how to talk to people.

Also, fear of scissor-happy hairdressers who take off too much hair and don't listen to your wants and needs. You may ask, "Why Mandi, what caused you to get haircutophobia?" I'll tell you a story. I was four, and I had lovely long, long, curls. My older brother was growing bored of cutting the hair of his teddy bear, so he thought it would be wise to attempt his newfound skills on his kid sister. Guess who started kindergarten that year with an awful bowl haircut to her ears? Yep. This girl. Sigh. As such, ever since that fateful day, my quest for the perfect hairdresser has been on. I realized I had bookmarked this place some time ago, and with an upcoming vacation I decided to call. I asked the receptionist who she recommended for long hair, and she said "Michael". Conveniently, he was available for an appointment the following day at 10:30 am. I came in this morning and met Michael, who recognized me from Sephora days, and I recognized him as well. We were off to a great start, and I immediately felt comfortable. He talked to me about what I wanted and we had our game plan. This is the first time ever at a salon that the person who cut my hair, also washed and blew out my hair. I was VERY impressed with this, as many salons will have one person shampoo you, then you get your haircut, and sometimes another person will blow out your hair. I have A LOT of hair, and I knew it can be a pain to have to blow dry but Michael loved it and said it was one of his favorite parts of doing hair. Umm...then wouldja mind coming by my place every a.m. to do it? Pretty please? I never felt rushed and the total time spent from start to finish was about an hour and fifteen minutes. Michael gave me an AMAZING haircut, I feel like a total superstar. Watch out, Beyoncè! Mandi's in town! This is one of the best, if not THE best, hair cut I have ever had. I've received many compliments already, my parents loved it, the boy loves it, I love it. And as an added bonus, I ran into a few people that I hadn't seen in a very long time at Target afterwards looking fab-u-lous. Don't ya just love that feeling?
