Sophia helped us with BRIDESMAID MAKEUP for a wedding last weekend and she did a tremendous job! It is never easy to manage time and balance doing hair and makeup for three girls but Sophia was on top of it and helped us look great for our friend's big day. The three of us wanted a simple side swept hairstyle and natural makeup and Sophia did just that. Prior to the day, she was very organized and sent us tips for preparation as well as a tentative schedule. I was not a great bridesmaid and didn't really prepare much in terms of specific looks I wanted or what type of fake lashes I was looking to do, but Sophia was flexible and knowledgeable, making suggestions along the way to help us all look our best. Pricing was reasonable and scheduling was flexible, both a big plus! When my makeup was first done, I was a little surprised by the dramatic change (lol!) and thought maybe I looked too... makeup heavy? Alright, listen up, guys and gals. I tried to keep my calm during my whole wedding preparation/ordeal. There were moments of frustration just like any other event preparation, but Sophia was definitely not one of the frustrations. When friends and family ask me what the best part of the incredible stressful wedding planning process was, I honestly told them what I had the most fun doing: working with Sophia. "Wow that's so cheesy and fake sounding..this must be a paid reviewer!" Is that what you're thinking while you read this review? Well, let me give you some details. I booked with Sophia 3 times: my makeup/hair trial, my 2nd makeup trial, and my wedding. I went into my first trial for my engagement photoshoot completely nervous and ill-at-ease. I did't know the first thing about makeup, and was afraid of looking stupid because of my lack of beauty know-how (as I tend to feel at nail or hair salons). Sophia arrived right on time, and with the friendliest smile and sweetest demeanor, went straight to work. She was never pushy and asked me just enough questions to figure out what I wanted. I felt so comfortable, and was able to relax because of her easy going attitude. I knew I was in the right hands. A month after the trial, I received my engagement shoot photos, and felt unsatisfied with how I looked. Let me say now that this is at NO fault to Sophia! I just ended up not liking what I thought I wanted (does that make sense?). I immediately reached out to Sophia for a retrial. This is where Sophia's talent and expertise shown through brilliantly! The first time around, she followed my asks and direction. The second time, I placed my trust completely in her expert judgement.
