Yesterday was my first time visiting Bellingham from Seattle and we stopped here to grab a warm drink while walking around. I got the autumn vanilla latte with oat milk. I loved this drink! It was sweet, but not too sweet, and I really enjoyed the autumn spice flavor. This coffee was painfully expensive ($7+), but worth it. I love the aesthetic of this place. It's so beautiful inside and there's tons of space to sit. They have a really cool balcony/second floor seating area too. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Bellingham and I might try some of their food options too. read more

Makeworth definitely stands out for its ambiance. A prime location with plenty of seating. Great for getting some work done or doing some people-watching. Probably one of the best places to sit and enjoy a coffee in the Belly. The coffee is good, better than most drive-thru coffee stands in town with creative rotating drinks as well. 7 bucks for a 16oz is sort of steep, even for this town. I had to try to breakfast burrito as it was referred to me by a regular. It was not a regrettable experience by any means, but 13-14 dollars for that product is a bit of insanity. Granted, the breakfast burrito market here is untapped, but that is a $10.50 burrito at most. With consideration of size, content, and method of preparation (reheat), It suffices as an on-the-go bite, but the price point kinda kills it. If you want a good time in a great space, check it out for yourself. A stand-out location with good coffee. read more

I really like this place! The coffee is yummy and the staff are all very nice. The coffee that I had was really good (definitely expensive though!). This is one of my favorite spots to come do homework in downtown Bellingham because it's never too loud and is easy to focus! I do not feel like I am cool enough to spend any extended length of time here, because I am most definitely not in the always-put-together, Instagrammed-life demographic this shop is attempting to attract. They used to have an amazing baker who delivered incredible baked things, but she's moved away and I am sad. The space is beautiful and full of light and if you like to Instagram your day, this isn't a bad place to do that. Their coffee is pretty pricey, and nothing to write home about. If you like taking pictures of/with your coffee and don't really care about the taste or the price, this is the place for you. Otherwise, skip it. read more

Beautiful place no doubt. Dropped by MW after having the dumpling down the block. you can't say no to a place that looks and feels like this. Tall glass windows, loft seatings, spacious simple aesthetic decor. My friend ordered the iced coffee which he really liked. I was going for a latte but ended up with an I'm Shook, which is their rendition of a milky sweet coffee like a Vietnamese coffee. The staff was super friendly too which made the wait more bearable. Unfortunately the I'm shook wasn't that great. I expected more drink and less ice less foam but ultimately more drink but was deeply disappointed. If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely come back to try other things and even do some work or have a conversation with a stranger there. It's just that kinda place you want to be. read more

Really cozy & friendly spot near downtown bellingham. The coffee & chai tea latte were both phenomenal, and I can't forget about their fall toast (which was a perfect blend of savory and sweet). I also saw somebody order the breakfast sandwich and damn, did it look delicious! It's a bustling joint with limited seating (both indoor and outdoor) due to Covid so come early or be prepared to wait. Great spot. Interior is beautiful - high ceilings and very bright. The decaf americano I had was really excellent! (Better than I expected for some reason.) Also had an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie which was a little too chewy for my liking but still good. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon, we found a spot at the counter but no tables were free (looked like lots of students were there for the day with their computers). I really wanted to love this place. It's light bright and airy and has a great "vibe", it also has WiFi and they are cool with you hanging out and using it... that being said I was so disappointed with the drink I ordered (London fog) it had zero taste and was double the cost of most places (woods, Starbucks, the coop). Shame. Perhaps they do a better job with coffee. I also ordered a cinnamon bun which had a wonderful flavor but it was dry and cinnamon buns should be a "wet" kind of pastry. Oh well. read more

First time in this morning. Space is beautiful and airy even when it's raining. Lots of seating. I chose the comfy seats! Coffee delicious and well made. Cortado my fave Ordered the Avocado toast with pickled red onions. Nice splash of olive oil. Salt and pepper. Simple but well done. Avocado was sliced, not mashed, which was a nice touch. If you like, it can also come with an egg. There was music playing but nothing loud. Just background. All in all it was Great! Lots of Uni kids but also others as well. LA meets Bellingham, yes! This space feels like it could be in Venice Beach: light and airy, accented with gold and touches of green from plants. One wish is that they had more cafe food in addition to pastries...but that's only because I'd love to stay and work longer with such a pleasant atomsphere, so many seating options (an upstairs with an overlook too), and tons of wall outlets. Just take my money! One big con: The internet kicked me off every 5-10 minutes for several hours and the connection would stay down for 10-15 minutes (yo management what's up?) I love makeworth and I go there to do remote work/study all the time. The balcony in the back is awesome and it almost feels like a coworking space because most of the people up there are totally in a grind mode which my distractable brain really appreciates. My only critique is that I wish wish wish it stayed open past three. I'm a night owl so I usually start my work around noon, and it would be so nice if I didn't have to move my work to another place in the middle of the day! The openness, natural light, comfy couches/chairs, abundant outlets and working/chatting/good music atmosphere that Makeworth has is so unmatched and I wish I could spend longer there, I get so bummed when I have to leave LOL. read more

The cutest, clean, simple, spacious, delicious coffee place. Will definitely come here during the school year to do some work. Love how there's so much seating and how it doesn't look crowded at all.
