I stopped by yesterday and I think this spot will be in my rotation for a healthy lunch or dinner. What works: The ingredients were fresh, colorful, and flavorful and I loved getting to customize my own bowl. They also have chef creation sushi burritos, vegan options, awesome appetitizers and an UNLIMITED SAUCE STATION... plus their packaging is too cute! Room for improvement: too expensive for what you get and toppings like avocado and seaweed salad are extra. No kids menu items too. And the burrito is smaller in portion to bowl but costs just as much. The bowl itself is pretty impractical and difficult to open and mix. And there was not enough seating to accomodate the slight dinner rush . Also their loyalty program isn't up and website needs online ordering and a full, text-based menu.

So so good, the burritos taste fresh and they're HUGE, I personally bought the three salsa burrito and at first I thought maybe I wouldn't like the mango but it fit perfectly! It's a bit pricey but for how big the burrito is I think it's pretty fair, Service was fast and the ambience is pretty average but I'm definitely going there again

The food was delicious!! Service was excellent. Lots of variety, flavors hit so good. If you order the Salmoncito (so tasty!) like I did, just note that it just has seaweed for the wrap--watch out because the filling will fall out on the end and there aren't any plates or mini paper trays to catch your food. It was PACKED (understandably so) when we went so we had to fight to get a table. Plus it was very hard to eat with a baby in your lap. Makirrito is definitely a date/takeout spot. Overall a tad pricey but very cool concept!

Sushi burrito becoming a deconstructed sushi salad

For 50 dollars for 2 people, you get a wet, soggy, sushi burrito that won't stay together for longer than 5 minutes. As you can see, it's literally falling apart and leaking juices as I eat it. The ingredients themselves are good, just wish I could eat it as a burrito and not as a sushi salad on the plate.

So good and fresh I had the 3 salsa bowl and my hubby salmon into makirrito so good we will be back!

A very interesting experience. We visited restaurant twice…read morefor dinner, on Sunday and on Tuesday. After Sunday visit, I was ready to say that the experience was 7out of 5. After Tuesday visit, the rating remains on 5, but only because we had an amazing time on Sunday. Maybe on Tuesday there was a different chef, but food just didn't taste the same, and a few Sunday dishes we asked for on Tuesday (standard menu) were sold out. Both times I had rice lager specially brewed for the restaurant, and it was delicious. An absolute highlight on Sunday was the dish called Hand of God - the smoky wagyu on top of the rice cake was just an absolute perfection, not anything I had before (this dish was not available on Tuesday). We also had similarly smoky vegetable roll which was also experience in itself. This was my first time at the sushi restaurant where waiter suggested that the nigiri pieces are perfectly ready to eat, require no extra soy sauce or wasabi, and should be picked up by hand instead of chopsticks - another wonderful experience. I also had few different nigiri piece, two different types of mackerel and uni - an absolute wow (on Sunday). Service was good both days, but still a little bit better on Sunday (better recommendations). Definitely recommended.

They have a garage attached and you can get it validated with the staff but it's kind of a complicated process for the amount of people coming per night for the restaurant. I would highly recommend making a reservation because every single table had a reserve sign on it. I got to try the gyozas, hamachi, shrimp tempura roll (not on happy hour menu), and various other rolls off the happy hour menu. My favorite was the gyozas and the hamachi. The gyozas had a nice sauce and it wasn't overly sweet. The hamachi tasted fresh and had good flavors. The rolls were not my favorite because they were very wet and not a lot of actual fish. My friend tried the fried fish dish and didn't enjoy it and he never complains about food. Service was odd too; they tried to act as if it was a bougie restaurant but the service didn't quite measure up. I felt a little rushed and our server wasn't really friendly. Interior is nice though.

We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.

I was immediately annoyed because the music was very loud to me. That could have been due to the empty restaurant, the actual volume or my perception of the volume lol. I was really hoping for a more intimate vibe for conversation. The speakeasy lounge actually looked more like the vibe that I desired but I settled in and placed my order. I wanted some of the showier selections seen on IG, so I ordered the tuna tower and flaming Romeo & Juliet roll and a cute (albeit sweet) cocktail that came in a goldfish shaped glass. When the tuna tower arrived the young server asked me something several times which I couldn't hear over the music, so I just nodded. After she smashed the tuna tower, I figured out she was asking if I wanted it mixed. Lol my bad! I actually did not want it mixed but it was delicious anyway. The Romeo and Juliet roll took forever to stop flaming but once it died down, it was absolutely delicious. My partner enjoyed his roll as well and they gave him a complimentary birthday desert with sparklers. Overall I give service a 3. I would have liked a more professional presentation of the menu, hyping it up a bit. And a less soft spoken server. The food was a solid 5, everything was fresh and scrumptious. Overall I give Uni'ko 4 stars and I look forward to returning. I thought it was a good value given the extra razzle dazzle and food quality.

The fusion elements were cute but I still left unsatisfied but still full. We did not park. We walked here right from the river walk. Not a bad place to go if you arrive in town after 9 pm.
