Stopped here to eat with friends after climbing after someone suggested trying the new malatang place. They have so many different ingredients you can add, and a good assortment of different soup and stir fry bases. I also tried the lychee green tea and thought it was very refreshing as well. Price is comparable to other places, but I do think the ingredients here seem to be more fresh! Ample seating inside and the staff are very attentive as well!

The soup base is so good. I really like the taste. This place is much better than Mala town. Will come back!

Spacious restaurant in the ten ren/Charlie's tea plaza. I got the Spicy beef bone broth. Good soup, not too oily, I wish it was a tad bit spicer. Okay amount of toppings, great fishball selection! We also got their dry mix and I liked it, it isn't as heavy and peanut-y as most places. Overall not as good as zhangliang but better than YGF.

This place feels like a cross between YGF and Malatown! The interior is very cute and spacious and everything is so clean! The food comes out hot and the service is very quick! I like how there wasn't a line when we came and the food is equally as great as other popular malatang spots. The only thing I wish for is probably a larger selection of items and better parking! We took a while to find parking because this plaza is so popular with so much great food!

We went on a Saturday around 1pm and it was pretty packed but we were still able to get seated right away. I think this place is new so the interior was very nice and clean. I really liked their chairs lol The ingredients they have are very similar if not the same as all other malatang spots, but everything looked really fresh here compared to other spots. My mom and I shared the mild spicy dry pot. Unfortunately, we found it to be WAYYY too salty even with an order of rice ($1.99). Next time we would prob opt for a soup broth and hope it's not that salty. I also feel like it is pricer than other spots tho, the soup base was $16.99 per pound and the dry pot was $17.99 per pound. If you're coming on a weekend, make sure to allot some time for parking because parking is a nightmare in this plaza.

Mala Mala is easily one of my new favorite malatang spots in the Bay! The broth was so flavorful without being overly heavy or oily, which made it easy to finish the whole bowl. I got the mild spicy beef broth, and it had the perfect amount of heat--even as someone who enjoys spicy food. The toppings bar was one of my favorite parts. Everything was super clean, organized, and easy to see, so I didn't feel like I was accidentally missing any ingredients. At $15.99 per pound, I also thought the pricing was very reasonable. The sauce bar was clean and had plenty of options. I would've loved to see a few more seasonings like sugar or extra spices, but that's a pretty minor suggestion. Overall, this place is a great addition to Cupertino. Delicious food, clean setup, and a good selection of broths and toppings. I'll definitely be coming back!

We also ordered beer & sake which increased the bill but they did honor a 50% discount on the alcohol ! Ayce meats included unlimited lamb, pork belly, beef, and shrimp. Same for the skewers ! But that's all that's included so please plan accordingly. The meat was hq in my opinion. I generally only care about lamb in my hotpot so I'm easy to please. But The shrimp skewers were fireeeee. So crispy! My favorite of the 4. We also ordered some veggies à la carte cuz I can't go without lotus root, some greens, and mushies. Sadly they didn't have any kabocha We also ordered a chicken gizzard skewer à la carte but it came out raw so you're supposed to cook them in the hotpot which I've never done before and it honestly made the texture weird so def skip that next time. We need bbq crispy chewy chicken cartilage! Anyway I'd be down to come back sometime to try some wagyu cuts with friends again although the Ayce was def a good deal. Service was fast and efficient. My only complaint is that there were some fruit flies in the restaurant which was annoying.
