Support a new and interesting spot in the plaza! NiChouSha has some kinks to work out, but man does it have potential. Food is generally good, they just need to work on some parts of their logistics. Staff are thoroughly welcoming and the interior is a rather playful and energetic mood. Representing a cuisine in China I'm not too familiar with (dongbei/north east), the naming conventions on the menu could use some work but good is generally quite tasty. The liangpi is fantastic and remarkably fresh/chewy noodles. Some of the best noodles texture wise I've had this side of the Pacific. Mild mala with a creamy sauce. The main entrees are quite full of deep fried things. Even the "braised pork and eggplant" was actually deep fried. Deliciously deep fried, but deep fried. Sweet and sour pork was also very deep fried. They were a few too many deep fried things that visit, but texture was spot on crunchy, but definitely made to be eaten with rice. Iron pots are great for groups but definitely something that's confusing since the pictures have bread in them but they don't actually come with any. Nor any rice either. However flavorwise they definitely need plenty of carbs to soak up the rich sauce. The spicy chicken iron pot is legit asian spicy though so no holds barred for the weak. However, I can vouch that they are most delicious. That said, the whole side dish buffet thing is quite confusing. Staff seem to say one thing but practically do another. Iron pots get a free dish each but you get charged per plate. You are expected to bring that plate back otherwise you get charged again(?). We ended up with an extra charge despite two iron pots. Yet the server explained it as "all you can eat". Conflicting info. Definitely a wonky spot of service.

很有东北装潢的烟火气,现炖现吃,食材新鲜入味。店内装修充满东北特色,氛围热闹又舒服。无论是家庭聚餐还是朋友小聚,都很适合,吃得暖胃也暖心。 A cozy spot with authentic Northeastern Chinese vibes. The iron-pot stew is freshly cooked, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. The rustic décor creates a warm and lively atmosphere, making it a great choice for family dinners, casual gatherings, or catching up with friends.

It's very authentic northeastern Chinese food. Not a lot like this restaurant in USA. Please come and try. Very delicious:)

Authentic Chinese north eastern food cooked very well for big pot like fresh fish and pork etc. Nice environments. Delicious cold dishes.

Love the place. Have been here for several times for different entries. All are great. Would be better if 1. boosters are available for toddlers. 2. No snacks are provided at the beginning for the kids. Otherwise the kids won't eat the food.

Great food! Good service! Di dao dong Bei Cai! Traditional north east China food! Great!

The food was pretty average. The duck wasn't cooked long enough and could have been more tender. Surprisingly, the glass noodles were the best part of the dish and had the most flavor.

Super authentic Chinese food with most customers speaking Chinese so you know the food is good! I ordered a few dishes to go which super easy in person. The tables and booths have built in Hot Pot stew for you to cook your meal. I ordered a hot pork intestines and vegetable dish along with a cold beef dish with noodles. They also packed me some spicy chili oil and chop sticks. If you and a group of 4 or 5 people decide to do the iron hot pot stew, it will be enough food for sure. There were a few tables doing this and having so much fun enjoying the authentic meal. The restaurant is very clean and everything looks brand new. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone curious about an authentic Chinese restaurant to visit. I will return. 5 stars from Phish!

Good food, very big goose, very delicious, the goose is so big and we can not even finish.

We ordered the Iron Pot Stewed Fish and had a great experience overall. The portion was very generous--around 3 pounds--and definitely filling, perfect for sharing with a group. The fish was extremely tender and well-flavored. What really stood out was that it had very, very few bones, which made it super easy and enjoyable to eat without constantly picking through. Overall, it's a hearty and satisfying dish. I would definitely come back for it!

We waited for probably 15-20 minutes which wasn't too bad. The place is pretty big and fits a good amount of people. The food was great. Every single dish that we got was so good and packed with comfort and flavor. The veggies were well cooked, my favorite was the beef rolls. I would recommend checking this place out.

They have also opened a location in Cupertino that is more convenient for me. Adding Mian to this plaza definitely livened it up, it was so difficult finding parking and then there was an hour wait when we joined the waitlist. We wandered around Grocery Outlet and Savers to pass the time. I came with a group of 6 people. We ordered the sichuan spicy fries and fried chicken cutlet to share. The fries were the spiciest item I had that day, wow! I ordered the Sichuan chicken cold noodles, extra spicy. They were not spicy at all. I left everyone at the table try them and they all agreed it was not spicy. Kind of disappointing, I expected them to be spicier than the fries at least. My partner had the chengdu zajiang noodles, mild spicy. They were good, the signature dish of the restaurant. I would return, but their spice levels are very inconsistent.

Felt like it was some place in Hong Kong or China. *Food: good if not great for the most part. The chef seems to be very careful or forgetful with the usage of salt though. *corn soup: 2.5/5: sweet and bland. There was not salt at all. No amount of chilli powder, salt or soy sauce helped redeem this dish. *chicken chow mein- 4/5- favorite dish on the table for all of us. Chicken was soft and didn't have a funky smell or taste. Noodles felt fresh. Dish was greasy though. *fried rice-3.5/5- came with mushrooms, eggs and some other veggies. Very nondescript and safe, felt more like a side dish rather than main. *deep fried chicken in hot pepper sauce:3.5/5- I was expecting some fire in this dish but this was unfortunately on the sweeter side as well. The chicken had a very crispy coating per description. *black bean noodles-3.5/5 after loving the version in Paiks noodle, it was difficult for me to like the version here. It was decent though, noodles seemed fresh and had a good bounce. But the sauce felt too soy saucy to me.

They serve a spring roll and a soup with the lunch plate. They had hot and sour soup the day we went, I didn't fancy the soup much. I infact couldn't complete my bowl, it was way too sour without any complimenting flavors. The spring roll was freshly fried and pretty large. Though the portion size is for one person the quantities are very generous and can be shared or boxed up for later. We got one plate with garlic chicken and chow mein and another with fried rice and Mongolian chicken. The chow mein lacked wok hei and felt a bit fish saucy. The fried rice was plain and simple but delicious nonetheless. Between the garlic and Mongolian chicken, the Mongolian chicken reigned supreme.

We knew to go early, since they don't take reservations and we often see lines outside. We arrived at 10:30am and the front manager said if we can be done my 12:30, that they had a table for us. Party of 12, since we got there early, we agreed. The side room had the biggest round table for us. They ask you what kind of tea you want, we like chrysanthemum tea. You order the items on the paper menu and it comes to your table. So we got going on the orders and TBH, we must be hungry, because we did a lot of orders (we had plenty of left overs). Tried some favorites and a few new items that we thought were unique to their restaurant. My dad has to order crispy noodle and chow fun, and we also ordered chicken fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive, with enough servers to take care of the side room. Since it was the "sun room", the sun was shining through the windows and it was bright. Review from my parents: it was just meh, they prefer the other place near our house. I think the food is good, but probably won't come back again with a big group of us, since they don't have many big round tables. And personally, I prefer the whole experience of the ladies coming around with their carts. Perhaps their dinner menu is also worth trying. Bonus for us is that we can literally walk to this restaurant. Parking could be an issue if you come later.
