Service: 4.3 fast & efficient Food: 3.1 Ramen 4.2 karrage bowl 2.6 tempura roll Work weekend day 1 and we went in search for food; and it was raining that day so our mood was for something warm = RAMEN We went to two different Ramen locations and line was out the door, so I Yelped again and Ippudo had to be the winner! There looked like another line out the door but I dropped off the wife and looked for a parking spot, when I got to the restaurant there was only a short wait. Once seated everything was fast and efficient. There was only one guy in the front kitchen handling the ramen orders but he was a champ making it look easy. I was hungry and wanted to order a bunch of food but realized that we don't have a frig for leftovers so we only got Yuzu Ramen, Chicken Karrage bowl, and Shrimp tempura roll...oh and some drinks too! The rice bowl is filing and the chicken had a crispy outside and the meat juicy. The Yuzu ramen was good but the amount of soy used didn't let the Yuzu come through and gave it a sour aftertaste almost vinegar taste. The shrimp tempura roll was a "basic" crunch roll light and crispy but a bit over priced IMO. Overall experience was good but will need to come back to try the other Ramen dishes to give it a proper food review.
Went here for lunch with a friend and we both had a good time! It was quite busy when we came in, but were able to get a seat fairly quickly. There were so many options to choose from but we settle d on the Karaka Spicy and the Dragon TanTan. We also did the Treasure (protein, egg, menma, and nori). The cucumber salad was delicious and really refreshing for such a warm day out. Both noodles dishes were rich and the Niku-miso bolognese was pretty flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since it was lunchtime, it was expected to be louder and busier.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff handled the crowd well and were really on top of getting waters refilled, orders in, and having good vibes.
The dragon ramen was so tasty. I think i am biased because it was after a long day of volleyball. But the fatty broth hit so hard but it didn't make me feel sleepy afterwards. It was not as spicy as i wanted but that was on me. I heard this place went downhill in flavor, but i think it still hits pretty hard. Lemme know if anyone else feels the same way
I had their karaka spicy and my boyfriend had the chicken kara-rage. Both were pretty good, the spicy broth was nice! Since we moved into this neighborhood, I have been wanting to try this place. The few times I walked by, the restaurant didn't seem busy. However the day we decided to try them, there were more customers which was a great sign. A relatively small restaurant. There's a laminated 'newspaper' like menu on the table as well as a QR code scan for a digital menu. Server brought water and utensils to the table while we perused the menu. We tried the Goma Q-marinated cucumber, spicy gyoza, oishi Kara-age, Karaga Spicy ramen and the miso ramen. All of them were delicious. Our fav was the spicy gyoza. The sauce had just a hint of the Szechwan pepper but not so overpowering. The Kara-age was nicely proportioned and cooked well. Good flavor. Of the 2 ramens were ordered I liked the Karaka best. The broth was very flavorful with their special 'bolognese' paste. The miso was good too but I enjoyed the karaka better. There's also some condiments on the table. There's a marinated spicy bean sprouts called and a 'pickle' they call Takana. Both are very good and does add to the ramen flavor. I just ate them as is - they were so good! Servers were attentive and checked on us quite often. Didn't realize they had other locations worldwide! Would definitely come back when I'm in the mood for ramen
It's been some time since I've revisited Ippudo and I think my rating remains the same. Ordered the Takoyaki as a starter and the Shiromaru Classic with onsen egg. The takoyaki was great, larges pieces of octopus and liked the mentaiko mayo served with it. Great texture on the takoyaki! The Shiromaru Classic is tonkotsu broth with hakata style noodles with menma, scallions, chashu and a slice of naruto. The broth itself was okay but felt like it lacked richness and flavor and felt that it was overly salty. The noodles were okay, decently portioned but lacked that chew I love from ramen noodles. The chashu was also on the tougher side and thin, a bit pale looking tbh. The onsen egg was perfectly cooked. The service was great, but also it was an empty shop with one server. Food came out in a timely manner. Experience and portions were great, I just think there are better bowls of ramen that are more suited to my taste. Price point is a bit steep as well, but to be expected for the area. Bill for 2 ramen, 2 egg additions and takoyaki came out to be around $60.
A classic Main Street spot. I've visited several times and been satisfied with every visit. There's usually a pretty lengthy line on the weekends, so be prepared to wait a bit. The interior is fashionably decorated, with sleek decor and furniture. The service is unremarkable - it can be a bit slow since the restaurant is so busy. The ramen is always delicious. It's a standard price and quantity for the South Bay. I specifically love how thin the noodles are. The thinness of the noodles is accompanied by a great chewy texture. Every bite of the noodles is heavenly. The broth is savory and rich. I also really enjoy all the toppings, like the thick pork slices and bamboo. I've tried the spicy ramen as well, which is extremely flavorful. I'll definitely be visiting again!
Really solid spot for ramen, especially if you're in the mood for a more savory and rich style. First, their daily happy hour from 3-6 is great, which decent discounts on some appetizers and drinks. The $5 draft Sapporo is a steal. Also their Goma Q marinated cucumbers are dangerously addictive, but warning not to dip too much into the extra sesame oil because it's pretty salty. The ramen is pretty good, with nicely al dente noodles and rich broth. I like that they have two different style of egg you can add on, the usual marinated boiled kind and also the soft sous vide style onsen egg kind. The bowls are a little on the smaller side though compared to other places. The marinated bean sprouts and takana in the jars on the side are a nice touch and go well with the ramen. Overall I'd say it's not one of my top ramen spots but a pretty solid choice if I'm in the area, especially during happy hour.

My husband and I had our first date there so returning to Ippudo on the West Coast felt like a full-circle moment. Service: Quick service. It was a cold day and my wife and I wanted something warm to eat. We normally go for Pho but today was for some ramen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place looked quiet, like we came around before dinner time but still made it for happy hour from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We love the vibe in the area and that the place looked very minimal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When ordering, you scan the QR code on the table. I've ordered a Yuzu Shoyu ramen with Samurai Rock's for my beverage (sorta like a Moscow Mule but without the carbonation). My wife went for the Miso DD and Sake Sangria for her happy hour beverage. We both agreed to add the OISHI KARA-AGE (DD) as our appetizer but sadly, this dish came while we were in the middle of eating our main course. The broth was rich and strong but, what disappointed us was that my bowl only had one cut of pork. I've been to many ramen restaurants in my life and they at least give two and maybe three if they're generous, this includes the one small cut of Narutomaki in my bowl, the proportions were so small. My wife normally eats a rice dish so she had no complaints because she's not had enough bowls to know what other restaurants serve. We were actually happy that the kara-age was able to suffice our protein needs but our initial impression with one small cut of pork and Narutomaki surprised us, we felt like the chefs at the time gimped us on their meat cuts.
If you've ever been to Japan and ate ramen there, when you return stateside you look for that same flavor profile and texture that you had over there. I think this place gets pretty close. We've been here twice now, not just because it's right under our apartment but also because it's very tasty. My husband gets the Akamaru ramen which he likes because he gets a big slab of pork belly. I get the yuzu shoyu because I like the yuzu flavor. It's subtle but you can taste it. You can choose thin or thick noodles. I usually like more bite to mine so I go for the thicker noodles. I also find the portion is doable. It's just enough to fill you up but not enough for you to feel disgustingly full. Service is always fast and if you early there's plenty of seating. If you haven't tried this place I recommend it.

Of these apps, I would say the takoyaki and cucumber dishes were my favorite! The cucmbers (all though simple) were carried by the sesame oil and the smallest kick of chili oil flavor. It was fresh and the remaining sauce on the plate helped provide a dipping sauce for the other dishes which were quite lacking in flavor (gyoza + karaage, imo). I ordered the akamaru modern tonkotsu ramen. That was TASTY for real. Broth is lighter than what you may think of tonkotsu (typically thick and heavy) and the noodles were the thin ones which were PERFECT. IMHO: thin noodles are BETTER than thick noodles. My friend tried some of mine and they said they liked mine better than theirs (spicy miso ramen). I would come back for certain! read more

Definitely an underrated restaurant. I've been to Main Street shopping center plenty of times and never really paid attention to Ippudo. Came here on a Friday and it was really busy. I tried to check in and get a table, but you have to wait for the rest of the party to get a table. Service, people and the atmosphere amazing! The art they have throughout the restaurant is really dope. What we ordered: Apps we got chicken karrage which was good. The bun medley was my favorite dish. The bun was soft and each bun I tried just tasted better. They have the shrimp, chicken & pork bun. The pork was the best out of the three but they were all delicious. Karaka spicy ramen was really good. They were able to put the spicy sauce to the side. For those that aren't spicy folks recommend to get this sauce on the side. When you're in the main st center make sure to check out Ippudo. My new favorite ramen spot read more

I'm back IPPUDO Cupertino! Although we've visited the West Hollywood location, there's just something about going back to the place where our love for ramen started. It wasn't too busy -- we waited about 10 minutes to get seated. We ordered our usuals -- Ebi Mayo to start, then the Akamaru Modern and Karaka Spicy (both with Tamago). DELICIOUS!! Parking on a Friday night was a bit tough but worth it! read more

The taste has been pretty consistent and their Ramen is very delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service and the ambience is pretty nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been there more than 15 times and was never disappointed I even took my parents there who never had a Ramen and they liked it as well. Happy Hour everyday 3-6pm! It's been a while since I've been back to this Ippudo location. We came here for happy hour, which included discounts on apps and drinks. I've always liked their ramen. They use hakata style thin noodles and rich flavorful broth for their ramen. My go-to ramen is the Karaka Spicy, which we ordered. New to me is the Dragon Tantan. It's okay....if I got lots of money and wanted to share an after dinner snack. It's not okay if I was hungry. Ippudo Cupertino caught my eye as soon as I saw it on Yelp. My local Culver City location is closer, but, why go to the close one when I can drive 400 miles to this one? My wife and I weren't hungry as we had already eaten. We got take out as it would've been kind of embarassing for both of us to get seated to share one bowl of ramen. Ordering was easy on their website. I ordered on my phone while driving there. The bowl of ramen was waiting as I arrived. The portion was small. It was the size of some kids meals. It was not their fault, but, by the time we got back to the hotel, the broth was lukewarm. Unfortunately, my hotel did not have microwave. The ramen had a few pieces of chashu and bamboo shoots. No egg. Both my wife and I were disappointed with this kids meal sized portion of ramen and the skimpy toppings. The broth was okay. I dunno, for my buck...if I had to spend $17 again, I probably would hit a Chinese or a Vietnamese place where my wife and I could share and be stuffed silly. read more

I was impressed by how quickly my bowl of ramen was brought to the table after placing my order. It was hot and delicious. I ordered the akamaru modern. One thing to note is that if you've eaten at Ippudo in Japan, the U.S. version tastes different. The one in Japan has a broth that has more depth to it. I think in part is that more garlic is used in the both. Don't get me wrong. The ramen here tastes good. It's just different than what you will taste in Japan. read more

This was my first time trying Ippudo in the States, and unfortunately, I have to say the overall experience was disappointing. I had the Akamaru ramen and the Brussels sprouts. The noodles were soggy and overcooked, and the broth wasn't hot enough. The Brussels sprouts came with a huge scoop of mayo which was an absolutely overwhelming amount. I tried to remove as much of it as I could, but I still couldn't eat about two-thirds of the dish. The service wasn't bad. They came by to refill my water once. Small portion ramen, they extended their menu, now there are more items. The chicken karaaga was good, bonito ramen and spicy tonkotsu all were great, except the silky noodles of the bonito ramen. Good ramen place at Main Street Cupertino. The broth and noodles are good when you need something filling and quick. We came on a weeknight so no wait, and the service was fine (gave you your water and took your order but otherwise nothing special). I was surprised I liked their fries with aioli the most, more than the ramen itself? Indoors features several 2 and 4 seater tables, and the space in between tables isn't the widest given the "Japanese ramen shop" vibe they're going for. 06/03/2025 came for lunch on a weekday 12:30. plenty of seats. its a QR menu but didn't really like it since my wifi never works indoors, but at least they have physical menus with tiny pictures. They also give u a fancy looking tissue with their logo... my friends and I had a discussion whether it was worth it. server was very friendly and did check up on us once or twice during dining experience despite having only two servers with a huge lunchtime rush of kids coming in. i ordered the dragon tantan ($20) which came in an unfortunate plastic bowl. I changed the katata thin noodles to thick wavy noodles since i like thicker noodles more. it definitely did not look like the menu picture at all but it did contain all the ingredients listed. lol. so don't worry. I find the broth slightly watery but the slighly spicyness and the raw red onions mask the dilute broth. i also find the massive amount of raw onions does destroy the dish a bit, slightly off-putting. -1 my friend ordered the spicy miso ($26). the broth mixed with the spicy season was pretty good. it does give off a kick. but i do agree with my friend, this ramen was on the pricy scale compared to the tantan bowl. would buy again if it was like $24 overall it was a great experience. definitely on the priceyer side. a nice place to dine out. read more
I've never considered myself a foodie and while I can appreciate a good meal when I have one usually that's the end of it. but I was thinking about my Ramen from here for days later. It was just unbelievably delicious. A lot of times when I get chicken in ramen it's thick and or not very flavorful. But this chicken was sliced so perfectly while at the same time being so tender. It's easily the best ramen I've ever had and honestly it's been frustrating because It inspired me to try to find places around me that are comparable and each time it is just disappointment. Too expensive, ok ramen. I was first taken aback when I was asked if I wanted an egg in my ramen. What? The $18 price doesn't even include an egg now? Noodle soup came lukewarm. Not hot. No steam. The soup was still good. Ordered Brussel Sprouts. What's with the huge mayo dumped on the top? Maybe have a little mayo on the side for taste? Tip button starts at 18% and 20% is mandatory if your group is 6+. Ippudo is $7-10 if we eat in Japan / Malaysia so why is it $25 ($18 + tip + tax) if we eat it in the US?
