It's a solid spot for delicious middle eastern food. Everything tastes fresh, and delicious. It takes a little long but that's because you know they cook to order everything. The unlimited freshly baked bread with their flavored garlic hummus was tasty. The grilled platter for two was very good. The seating, decor and service of this place was top notch. I really liked everything but it's that it wasn't a 5 because the presentation of the platter wasn't as presentable like most of the local restaurants. Especially for how the decor of this place looks - a little fancy - I was surprised that their good food was not nearly as presentable as their competitors. While waiting for our food, we were treated to small pitas and two garlic dips that blew our socks off. Even before ordering anything, we knew this restaurant was a winner. The meal that followed did not disappoint. I loved the lamb over hummus. Cooked perfectly and spiced with a unique flavor I couldn't quite identify but very much enjoyed. And my gf ate the chicken and mushrooms, which she enjoyed just as much (we shared everything.. obviously :) ) But the best part of our meal was our waitress. Najlaa made us feel at home. Delicious Middle Eastern cuisine! This restaurant was recommended by friends & our experience was as amazing as they had said it would be! As soon as we were seated, our friendly server Najhla brought us a starter of fresh-from-the-oven pita bread & hummus plus another dip. While I couldn't try it as I'm gluten free, others couldn't stop eating this bread! This starter was followed by a delicious garden salad that was fresh, crispy & lightly dressed in a divine vinaigrette! The main entrees were equally delicious & the helpings are generous. This is one of my favorite restaurants I rarely ever have a bad experience. The restaurant is always clean & the staff is usually friendly. I usually get the 1/2 deboned chicken, almond rice, grilled vegetables & a fattoush salad. This is the best place to go for fresh, hot, delicious food. The customer service is great. They have bread & garlic that's so good you wouldn't want to stop eating. I highly recommend trying this restaurant to see if you like it. Ever since I moved to Michigan, I have tried a lot of Mediterranean food but this place is super good! I am still in the basic stages so I just got the chicken shawarma plate and it was super filling and good. Came with a side salad. They also gave us complementary pita bread and garlic spread. The orange one in the picture below is the spicy garlic and it's super good. This resturant is the cutest and is a great location in downtown Dearborn. There is free parking behind the building and there is also an outside patio which looked really nice. I really enjoyed my visit here! read more

It was awesome. We ordered the platter for 2 but there were 3 of us. It was ok but if you have bigger eaters, it won't be enough.

The restaurant is busy and that's when everything falls apart. The food can be great. The deboned chicken is first rate, the salads are incredible, the bread and garlic is very good. Here's the problem... the restaurant gets very busy and it's chaos from the hostess stand to an abundance of dirty tables that sit uncleared as you sit and enjoy your meal. I get grossed out when I am seated and I am surrounded by dirty tables. Service is descent but it could use someone that knows how to hustle. read more

I ordered half deboned chicken with rice and lentil soup. I asked if there is any sugar or dairy in the smoothies. She told me no so I ordered a strawberry banana mango to be brought at the end of my meal. About 6 min went past...still no soup,no water, no anything. A few minutes later my water arrives then the deboned chicken arrives? At this point I'm confused and asked the server "my lentil soup?" She replied oh ok I will be back with that.I was not to happy that I had to rush to eat my soup so the rest of my entree would not get any colder. The server never told me her name, never came back to check on me. The one time she did pass by it was to let me know they were working on my smoothie which baffled me because I wasn't done with my meal. My smoothie arrives. I taste it and there is an over powering sweet mango flavoring in it.The server comes to get the bill in which I ask her is there a purée in this. She said yes. I asked her to please check the ingredients because I asked if there was any sugar and she said no. She came back and said there was cane sugar in the purée. I gave her the cup back and asked for it to be taken off the bill. She came back and said the manager said that I should have asked if there was fresh fruit in the smoothie before ordering. Wow!!!! I made up my mind that this will be the last time I visit any of the locations because of the insensitivity of the management. Update: I just left the restaurant and as I was walking out I asked to speak to the manager.I told the manager (Mo) what had happened and he informed me that he never was told about the entire situation.I hear the server behind the way telling the manager that I should not have drank it all. Well attached is a photo of what I consumed before I recognized what I was not supposed to have was in an added ingredient. The manager offered to take the smoothie off the bill. I told him don't worry about it because it is clear to me that she lied to me. What he didn't know is that I was never coming back after this experience. The way he handled it changed my mind. Visiting to visit Ford Museum tomorrow. So I felt our choices for dinner was either Detroit pizza or middle eastern food...we choose the later and boy are we glad we did! This was a Sat night and the place was packed with all sorts of guests...single people, couples, families and a HUGE group (150 people) out back. Our wait was gosh...maybe 10 minutes. They started us off with a basket of warm, yummy homemade pita bread with the most addicting garlic spreads. Our waiter, Benjamin, was the perfect server for us tonight! He was super friendly, funny and helpful in a few questions I had. There were 2 of us...we got the appetizer trio...Malek Sampler Hummus + Baba Ghanouj + Tabbouleh which was terrific. Everything was perfectly seasoned, freshly made and delicious. We ordered Chicken Sajji with a salad...OMG...superb! Simply fantastic We're heading back to Cincinnati tomorrow or we would have taken leftovers with us! You will NOT be disappointed We LOVED it! read more

The food took at least 30 minutes to get and it was also wrong. But all in all the food was great but this restaurant needs to train their staff about what good service is. read more

The bread brought to us was not fresh or hot but older bread. The server was also cold to us and rushed us out. This is not the first time we felt like the "black" unwanted family in Malek Al Kabob. Just 3 words. Spicy. Garlic. Sauce. The food here is absolutely delightful. The service is excellent. I have been told by one of my Lebanese friends that the spices aren't necessarily " traditional" but for the American palette, the food is delicious. Since I am not Lebanese or from the Middle East, I can neither confirm or disagree with the statement. What I can say is, I will definitely be back because the food is just that good. If you are in the Dearborn area and would like to have a nice sit down dinner with high-quality food and great service in a beautiful atmosphere, I'd highly recommend Malek Al Kebab. 10 out of 10 read more

Service could have been better but the food made up for it. There were 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids) and we got the family meal Special #2 on the menu and had left overs. We also got the eggplant spread which they SHOULD serve with Pita bread or Nan bread slices (Baba Ghanuji) and an order of two round nan breads. Food came with a large salad with lettuce, cucumbers, red cabbage and Italian dressing, 3 lentil soups, some bean soup or something like that and an eggplant stew. Very tasty Iraqi food. I truly don't think it gets any better than this. Wow. We are new to the area from Texas and Just blown away by the service, the ambiance, THE FOOD!!! Truly a 10/ 10 in every way. The serving sizes are giant, they are PACKED with flavor, and the pita breads are endless!!! The spicy garlic sauce it what truly sets this restaurant above the rest. And do yourselves a favor, ORDER THE MANGO LASSI!!! We tipped on the card but it never went through so bring a cash tip for your server! My family and I will for sure be back and when our in-laws come visit from Texas we are FOR SURE gonna bring them here! read more

Best Middle Eastern restaurant I've had so far in Dearborn. Omg the Chicken Sajji was incredible, the perfect mix of spicy, BBQ, and tangy. The lentil soup was also delicious and had a bit of spice, as well. We also ordered their fruit smoothie and mango lassie, which was fully natural and creamy. Their bread is homemade and baked in a brick oven and they serve it with a garlic and spicy garlic spread. Our waiter was super nice and the service was fast.
