As anyone who lives in Malibu knows, it's hard to get a "trade" out here. Go local!!! These guys were A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Marvin figured out in a heartbeat why our frameless showers no longer aligned. He went back to the shop (and did not charge for travel time) got the parts and now two showers fully repaired. I cannt wait to have them back to work on sliding glass doors. I live in Santa Monica and my project had several difficult space constraints and requirements. Juliet sent someone to my home the same day I requested a quote! Called to get a quote on a bunch of work. They scheduled someone to take a look. We showed them the glass doors that weren't working well. They kept asking us what we wanted done to every door and we asked them to take a look and let us know. The individuals who arrived at our house didn't seem that knowledgeable. Any questions that we asked the team they told us we would need to call the office as they didn't know any answers. It's been over a month and no estimate was provided. I've found someone else to do the work who was very knowledgeable and quick. read more

I understand other reviews saying that Malibu Glass quoted higher prices than others, which has been my experience twice in the past but I also used them twice for window replacing at different homes and couple of small pieces of glass for outdoor tables. This time I needed 2 large 1950' cracked window panes height about 80" and another window pane 4'x5' replaced and got quotes from several companies from Camarillo to Culver city. Got quotes mostly for $1800 to $2000 over the phone and lots of winning because of our location. No one wanted to come out and measure besides this company and one in Camarillo that forgot to measure a window for the quote. Malibu glass did the job for under $1200 and were more than careful removing all the glass and did a super job installing the new panes. Not cheap but ended up being the most affordable. Dealt with Susan who also gave me a small refund as the glass ended up being a bit less that quoted. read more

Malibu Glass did an excellent job and a reasonable price, and I'd highly recommend them. The back of our home is sliding glass doors with a very large glass A frame. Custom windows and framing were needed. Malibu Glass installed all new sliding glass doors, replaced the A frame windows in front and back, replaced another window in front and several window panels in the entry way. These were custom measured (and sometimes custom cut) items, with new frames needed. Malibu Glass took on the project and did an excellent job. One thing that we really appreciated was the personal involvement of Gerald, the owner of the company. He did the measurements and bids, and was our direct contact. Communication was excellent. Also his staff was extremely helpful and professional, especially Adeline. We are very happy with our choice of Malibu Glass. read more

I called to get a quotation for an skylight after 1 week in which they went to the house to take measurements etc, The woman in the phone was extremely rude. She did not let me speak!! And then she hang up on me. I called back to ask why she hang out on me and asked to speak with a manager. She did not communicate me with the manager. read more

I love writing positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was like Doug's. We have 30 windows to replace. Malibu Glass came out to give an estimate and the representative spent a long time measuring and talking to us that day in November, but we never received an estimate or a quote. I called the office three times in January and spoke to two different people who assured me they would send it out, or call me back to explain what's going on. Nadda. We were pretty surprised by the lack of professionalism and curtesy considering that they are a distributer/installer for Fleetwood -- a premium manufacturer we really wanted for our home. read more

I'm a local contractor who needed a picture window replaced on a large job in Calabasas. After waiting for three phone calls, none of which were returned as promised and sending detailed pictures via email for an estimate, I got nothing. Not even a call to say they were too busy or didn't even want to bid my job. Steer clear from a company such as this that can't even follow up with a simple request to change out a broken window. After two unsatisfactory meetings with other glass shower installers in Kalamazoo, I called Malibu Glass in Grand Rapids. What a breath of fresh air! First, I was able to speak directly with the owner and installer and he not only answered all of my questions without rushing me but offered ideas and suggestions to make my shower even more beautiful. The glass installers I had spoken with in Kalamazoo seemed annoyed when I asked questions, made little or no effort to find hardware that matched the rest of my bathroom, had no creative solutions for a design issue that arose, and one of them would not even provide me with an opportunity to speak with the actual installer before I signed their contract for $3500. In contrast, Tom at Malibu Glass came up with several creative options, shared every detail with me in advance, went out of his way to find matching hardware, provided me with two detailed drawings of shower options to help me envision the final product, and then installed the shower himself two weeks before I expected it to be done. And on top of all that, he and his co-installer (also named Tom) were gracious, polite, and even installed a soap holder/grab bar for me at no charge. Tom's service and customer focus puts the Kalamazoo glass shower installers to shame. Thank you Tom (and Tom!). The price was not cheap but it was worth every penny and I have a shower that is perfect and more beautiful than I ever imagined. read more

A recent burglary at about 9 PM in my home resulted in shattered glass in a sliding glass door. After contacting Malibu Glass when they opened the following morning, two guys came out that same day to remove the glass and temporarily secure the space with plywood. As soon as the replacement glass arrived, the guys returned to install it. During the installation process, they thoroughly cleaned the sliding glass door tracks and even cleaned the large glass window adjacent to the sliding glass door. Both times the guys were very professional and pleasant. I was also very pleased with Susan in the office. She was quite competent, professional, efficient, & friendly, and her estimated timing for the installation was 'spot on'. I am so pleased that my friend, who is responsible for maintenance on a large commercial property, recommended Malibu Glass. And I also recommend it to you -- give them a try.
