When I had my home built in 2005 I had all my walls and ceilings painted with this one color of Parker Paint. In the last 15 years I have purchased a gallon at a time to do touch ups. My walls look great. I don't do the drama of painting my walls different colors if I want a different look I move my pictures around. I live in a 2800SF home so can you imagine the shock and disbelief when I found out that they had discontinue my paint color. I than proceeded to bring them samples of my paint, codes and some of the old wet paint that I had left. I had them try 4 times but it just kept getting worse. It looked like water stains on my wall. I than went to Ace they couldn't do the sheen, than I went to Olympic same result. I was very upset as what was I going to do. Repaint all my walls which would have cost me around $15k. I started emailing and calling around to professional painters thinking they might be able to help me. I got a response from a professional paint company letting me know that matching paint is very difficult. They would attempt to do it for a fee but said Rodda paint is who they use and they have had great success with them so I told them thanks for the info and I'd try working with Rodda paint first. Just so you know there are different sheens and every paint company labels them differently, flat, pearl, matte, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss & hi-gloss. Sherwin Williams had the sheen wrong the first time. Just because park paint called it satin did not mean it was satin. It was matte finish to Sherwin Williams. To Rodda it was pearl finish. Anyway yesterday I took my samples in to Rodda and found the best guy in the state Dennis so I was told. Well I picked up the gallon today and it is a perfect match. I almost cried. This saved me thousands of dollars. I will give Dennis a tip but really why can't there be a Dennis in every profession. People who actually take pride in their work. Thank you Dennis and if your company doesn't realize how valuable you are shame on them. thank you thank you. Roger Olson

Not only did Kendra come to my site and give me advice and help on colors to use, but when I got to the store, she and Steve took absolutely wonderful care of me!! Can't say enough good things about the store and their customer service. And oh yeah, love the paint too! In a world where customer service is fastly disappearing, this store still has it down!!!     Waited over 39 minutes in the wood cutting area at 1 PM on a Saturday with zero assistance…read more Multiple employees walked by, and the customer ahead of me pressed the help button at least five times--no response. If the store advertises wood cutting, someone should actually be available to do it. Otherwise, don't waste customers' time with a help button that clearly does nothing. Called the store and also talked to customer service. ‍

    On April 22 I made a conscious decision to go in to urban feed and garden to purchase a tree for my…read morewife's birthday, instead of going to a box store to support a local business in my neighborhood. I paid about 40% more for a tree, a one inch caliper hornbeam in a plastic pot. The tree had a little bit of leaf burn on its new growth, but I chalked that up to being root bound in a pot, so I purchased the tree. I was landscape contractor for years, I have planted hundreds of trees so I planted this tree giving it the best possible chance for survival. With regular watering the leaf burn continued to spread, even though I held off on fertilizing the tree, until it showed signs of some growth so I wouldn't burn it or shock it. Last week I pulled it out of the ground because it was completely dead, when I did there was zero root development. Anyway, I know from experience that sometimes new plants just die but when I was running a landscape construction I warranted every plant I ever sold to a customer. If a plant died within the first year, I would replace it. I could usually bring these plants back to the vendor and exchange them for a new one, but those were real nurseries like Gurneys or Molbaks. I called this nursery and explained what I've written above and they told me they couldn't help me, I even asked if they would just give me another tree and they declined. We live in a different world, where accountability and responsibility are foreign to a lot of people. I won't be going back to Urban And garden.
