We had just drinks here, but the bartender was solid- and we had a nice time, open concept- good for large groups, or meeting your brother for the first time. Memorable!

My first visit to Malone's Ale House was for lunch on the Monday after Thanksgiving. It was very quiet inside with only a few other people besides my friend and I. The place was very clean and well maintained. The lady behind the bar, who was also our server, welcomed us when we entered. We chose a comfy booth but there is table seating and a nice outdoor patio too. Our server was quick to take our order and our drinks arrived soon. My Bloody Mary was tasty. Our food took a little while to arrive but was very good. My friend enjoyed his chicken guacamole wrap while vegetarian me ordered the Popeye omelet sans bacon. There are a few items on the menu that are vegetarian friendly but I'd really like to see more of them. A veggie burger and veggie sandwich perhaps? There is a video gambling room off to the side if you enjoy that. My friend and I both enjoyed our first visit to Malone' Ale House and would definitely return.

I really like this place. It is very close to my house. They have karaoke, great happy hour prices, good bar food, plenty of beers on tap, bar games, and enough TVs to watch all the March Madness games at the same time. Pitchers of beer cost around $14 to $17. I was able to get a big plate of BBQ nachos for less than $7. Wings and fries only cost $7. The happy hour items are smaller than the regular menu items. My friends and I were able to sing karaoke, play pool, try Jenga, and watch college basketball games. It was a great time. They also have all the sporting events so football is great here as well.

The service has been quite good. I'm a person who likes spicy food, but my ideal preference is food spiced well, giving it lots of flavor. Recently had the fish and chips: no clue what type of fish it was, but it tasted perfect. The batter on the fish wasn't too thick and it spiced perfectly. The fries were spiced well, the homemade tartar sauce with dill was excellent. I'm even a fan of the coleslaw: not too thick, fresh ingredients with a light sauce. Unexpectedly, had to order a Thirsty Lion meal from a delivery service: everything showed up packed perfectly, nothing missing. The attention to detail impressive, the fact that they included a wedge of lemon for the fish and even a sprig of something green for a garnish was a nice touch. If you've noticed that a lot of restaurants are starting to have a similar taste...you're not hallucinating...I call them SYSCO restaurants. More and more restaurants have their menus designed and their ingredients provided by 1 company...a company that specializes in cafeteria food. Thankfully, the Thirsty Lion doesn't have that vibe (when and if it does, we'll never return).

We shared the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp appetizer and it was very good. My friend had the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and the presentation was excellent. I had the Reuben with the hand-cut fries and tartar sauce for dipping. So good. I have been on a Reuben tasting spree, and this was the real deal. I am already anxious to come back to order it again as it was that flavorful. Side note...the tartar sauce was also one of the best I have had. I will be back...soon.

We saw two servers, which one was also the bartender. We sat in the almost empty bar area and the restaurant only had a few tables with people. When the food came out there were only three meals. We were told that the fourth would be right out. It did not come right out. The fish and chips did not come with tartar sauce or ketchup and the chips were not fully cooked. The chicken bacon mac was missing the chicken and the bread crumbs and was mildly warm. When the fourth item (chicken caprese sandwich) finally came out, it was pretty cold also. The pepperoni rolls came out hot so apparently we should have all ordered those. The bartender offered us a discount which turned out to be $10 off our next visit. The fish dish and caprese sandwich were not eaten so we requested those be taken off the check. We heard the bartender telling another table that something would be removed from their check so it definitely wasn't just us. We immediately headed to five guys to get something quick to eat.

I was duped into ordering from this place on DD. They had themselves listed under a storefront name, NOT BWW so I didn't actually know who I was ordering from and thought a new place opened up over at The Streets. I live 0.2 miles away and had I not had a sleeping kid, I would have just driven over, found this information out for myself and went somewhere else but alas... there I was. We placed our order and things seem ok. Dasher arrived at the restaurant about 15 mins after the order was placed and sends a message that they were waiting on the food. Great. Until it wasn't. The delivery time kept getting pushed back further and further. Honestly, I've never had such a patient dasher before. This poor person waited and waited. 20 mins. 30 mins. 40 mins. That's right. Waiting in the lobby for the food for 40 MINUTES before we became a bit concerned. The dasher was updating me via the app, letting me know they were still waiting. This was when I found out that it was BWW. I looked up the number to call the store and realized who I had ordered from. I called the store and no one answered. They were definitely hanging up the line to avoid talking to anyone. I tried calling multiple times, sometimes they would disconnect after 1-2 rings, sometimes more than that and sometimes it would ring for a full minute before I would just give up and hang up. Once we reached the 50 min mark of waiting and about 10 mins of me trying to call to no avail, I ended up having to cancel the order so everyone could move on with their night and we could get something else to eat. I did submit a feedback form on the BWW website as this store is extremely problematic and I find it predatory that they are even on DD when they can't even get to go orders out properly using their OWN app. I detailed the experience, the wait, the refusal of staff to answer the phone and the response I received back floored me: they told me to contact DD if I was unhappy with my order. Absolutely reprehensible. This was not a DD issue, it was 100% a BWW issue. This store should NOT be on the app and honestly, shouldn't even be open. I hope corporate seriously looks into this franchisee and how they are choosing to run this store and soil their name.
