Today was our first time at Malone's at Chattanooga. Everything was top drawer from the moment we walked through the door. I'll begin with first impressions: the decor. I personally loved the styling. The first thing that draws the eye is the bar area with what I can only describe as a wall of whiskey. They display literally hundreds of bottles of liquor nearly to the very high ceiling, all tastefully presented and back lit so that warm amber is the predominate hue. Just striking. The entire place was very swank. I immediately felt under dressed , but in reality our attire was on a par with everyone else. The staff was outstanding. Our waiter, Caleb, couldn't have been more genial and attentive. He took the time to explain the menu and highlight the specials. Very good at his job. I ordered Philadelphia Roll with Miso Soup. My wife had the Bluegrass Chicken which made her eyes roll with pleasure. She gave me a taste, and it was, indeed, great. My Sushi was fresh and outstanding. We shared a very good salad. Just first rate fare. Price wise, this is among the more expensive places, but well worth it. Quality costs, right? This will have to be one of our special places when we don't mind splurging a bit. No issues with accessibility with my wheel chair. Spacious, and, as I said, so tastefully appointed. Payment was a breeze with the handy WR code. Highly recommended. read more

Hubby and I popped in on a Saturday night. Service was quick and intentional. We started with a sunset roll. I had the sea bass and my husband had the ny strip. Everything was made and cooked to perfection. I hate that I forgot to take pics. We will be back when we are in town. read more

Start to finish everything was excellent ... if I could give more than 5 starts I would. I was visiting my son and his family to celebrate his birthday. They don't go out to eat often (they have a toddler) but I insisted on going somewhere nice to celebrate. His fiance works in Chatt and said her coworkers always recommend Malone's. We made a reservation but were dining a little early on a Sunday so didn't actually need the reservation. Walking in the restaurant gives you the feeling of fine dining but still comfortable. The booths were nice and roomy which is great so you don't feel crowded. The busser immediately greeted us with water and welcomed us. The server wasn't far behind to take our drink orders. When I ordered a glass of wine the server offered for me to taste the two wines I was choosing between ... very nice touch! That set the tone for the level of customer service. She brought us warm fresh bread at the same time as taking our drink orders. The herb butter was fantastic! The Malone's Lexington salad which is bottomless sounds so simple but is very tasty ... especially the real bacon pieces and dressing. They also serve the salad on cold plates to maintain the crispiness of the lettuce ... another nice touch! I could have stopped there and would have been satisfied but my entree was delivered next. I ordered the Blue Crab Linguini ... the lemon parmesan cream sauce was very rich and full of flavor. The basil infused pasta was excellent and the highlight of the dish was large pieces of crab. I took 3/4 of the entree home and enjoyed it just as much the next day. She also gave us another loaf of bread and 2 large styrofoam containers of salads with all the fixings & dressing separate! My son hesitated to order the Wagyu burger due to the price but I encouraged him to order what he wanted ... he described the burger as one of the best he's ever had. His fiance ordered the French Quarter Alfredo and said it was excellent ... ate every last bit. To top off a fantastic dinner and excellent service the waitress brought our check and indicated they were having a promotion and because we spent $100 we got a $25 gift card for our next visit. Fantastic and friendly service on a busy Saturday night. With a packed parking lot, it was great that we had reservations. The dining room is large and stylish and despite being full and active we could still hold conversations. There is no outside seating. The complimentary french bread and the spread (which I'm pretty certain is boursin or contains boursin cheese) is excellent and served hot and fresh from the oven. Also the bottomless Lexingtonian salad that comes with many entrees is excellent. My entree was the French Quarter Alfredo with nicely blackened chicken with beautiful chunks of mushrooms in creamy and richly flavored Alfredo with just a hint of heat. My wife had a sushi roll, of which nearly all have a tempura element (and she's not into fried breading), but she still found it beautifully presented and was able to avoid the breading. read more

Decided to come at opening on a Sat. morning. The steak was well cooked, but the food is a bit expensive for lunch, still somewhat dinner prices. Since we shared a plate, the salad was not unlimited, but 1 serving was more than enough for two people. The server and service was excellent, and the drink was great. It is a rare occurrence that I will review a chain restaurant, but WOW! Had a couple of hours to kill before heading to the airport and the lovely lady at my hotel said I should give it a try. THANKS! The ambience was upscale and pleasant and the wall of Bourbon insane! My Server was helpful, pleasant and funny and gave me excellent recommendations. Of course I was famished so I ordered WAY too much food. Just the wonderful complimentary bread was a meal itself (yes, whipped garlic butter) Salad? Perfect... Deep fried Asparagus? Heavenly... Already a little full by the time my entree came, but the melt in your mouth petite Filet and sautéed shrimp were so delicious I literally stuffed myself! The ambience is fancy, classy, and romantic. I decided to dine on the Harry's side, but I ordered a crab Rangoon roll from Malone's menus. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich from Harry's menu. Harry's is also a beautiful, upscale restaurant. I like the fact that food can be ordered from both menus, regardless of which side is chosen for dining. Service was great, and both restaurants were clean. Whenever I return to the Chattanooga area, I will definite plan to dine at this establishment again. This is certainly an upper-end steakhouse. The food, service and ambiance reflect that as well. My wife and I enjoyed an evening there on their soft launch. We ordered the crab dip, bread service, filets salad, drinks, baked potatoes and cheesecake. This place gets 10's across the board. The service was impeccable, and of course the food was off the charts delicious. There is a reason this place is pricey. It's an experience, not just a dinner. I met the Managing Partner and he welcomed us with such gracious hospitality, that we were hooked before we had the first morsel of food. Where do I begin? Visiting from Los Angeles and I must say, this place was nothing short of amazing. We really enjoyed our dinner here. The food- we tried many dishes, all were perfection. The bread and butter were an incredible way to start. The butter is out of this world. The crab cake was worth every penny- the best crab cake I've ever had (so good we went back again just for this appetizer during our 4-day stay in Chattanooga). The crab dip was rich in the best way possible and absolutely devine. For our main courses- The halibut was perfectly fried and not greasy at all. The sea bass with the miso sauce was so, so delicious. We also got a salmon dish over pasta- the salmon was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we tried the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and it was so so delicious. We also had the seasonal peach pound cake cobbler and that was also yummy! We ate every crumb. A shocker since we were so stuffed after our gigantic meal. Lastly, the ambiance- amazing. The giant wall to ceiling display of spirits is a beautiful touch and an impressive background to all our photos. Everything was clean and so presentable. Our server, Jas, was attentive, kind, and so helpful. Best touch, they box up extra salad and more delicious bread and butter for you to take home! Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The filet was melt in your mouth goodness with a side of your choice-I went with a generous sized baked potato. The side salad was generous portion as well, sort of like a BLT salad with a creamy herb dressing and it was absolutely delicious. My daughter got the house burger and loved the special sauce. The food was fabulous but expensive even for a steak house more than $50 for a 8 oz filet. Which included salad and another side which we chose a one pound baked potato. The ambiance was good but extremely noisy, not a place for an intimate date because you will have to yell at each other just to talk. We had a 9 pm reservation and felt rushed as they close at 11pm. A hear is your cocktails what would you like for dinner. The waiter was not very attentive and started to brush and clean up all the tables at 10 pm. The only thing he didn't do was put the chairs up on the table. Our bill was over $200 without the tip. We may try again but go earlier next time . The steak was delicious. For my money I would rather go to Firebirds which is much more relaxing. The loudness was a big turn off for us, they should look at acoustics that will not bounce off the walls. read more

The 5 stars is for the service! We've been to Malone's two weeks in a row and had fabulous service by both Victoria and Cheryl. Now, the food is a different story. While we LOVED the Tuna Stack, the salads were less than palatable. Hubby said wings were just okay. The Mediterranean Trio was DELICIOUS except for the clumpy red pepper hummus. Blue Cheese olives for the martinis needs work. Should be nice and creamy, not gritty. Excellent White Russian! The Happy Hour is a great deal so we will definitely return and ask for these gals. My wife and I just had dinner at Malones Chattanooga. Mike was our waiter. He was wonderful and very attentive. My wife had the filet and I had NY Strip. Both were cooked perfectly. The spinach dip was delicious and Mike boxed up our leftovers to take home. When he found out it was our 20th anniversary he "insisted" that we order desserts to take home. One of the managers brought out desserts and informed us that for birthdays and anniversaries the desserts were complimentary. Since we live about 45 miles away I have only enjoyed Malones twice at business lunches and this was our first time for dinner. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Great atmosphere when you enter...this time we sat in the bar area with a view of the wall of bourbon selections. Music is in the background and adds just the right touch of atmosphere. I ordered twin filets with toppers, baked potato, and lexingtonian salad. The filets were immaculately prepared and were tender and perfect, just melt in your mouth...the salad was crisp and refreshing, yet rich with applewood bacon. The potato deserves it's own zip code but was fluffy and had generous toppings, without being overdone. Dessert was also generous and the right sweet bite to end an exquisitely prepared and executed meal. Malones is such a great place to visit, everyone we have met there is helpful, engaging, and wants to take care of you like family. Great, great place. The manager we talked with was also top notch.
