Malt & Mold is a great craft beer shop. I stopped in this weekend on a recommendation from a friend and I was surprised by what I found, this isn't just another beer shop but a gathering of beer lovers. There was a tasting going on when I arrived so I was able to try a few new brews. I didn't even get the chance to ask the owner for recommendations for beers to purchase because the regular patrons offered great flavor profiles on the beers available for purchase when they saw me looking in the case. The owner of the place was very friendly and explained a lot about his shop and when they get new beers in. I had a great experience and will definitely return.

Cute and cozy establishment full of tasty goods and awesome people.

What a great little place! Kevin was very knowledgeable and welcoming. He had a nice variety on tap, and a nice curated selection in cans/bottles. I had a wonderful time learning about the different beers currently available with a little sampling. Also they have lots of tasty charcuterie for you to purchase for home, or they can prepare a plate for you to enjoy in their outdoor seating area fitted with heaters. Me and a group of us had a great time here and the cheddar sandwich with arugula and ipa infused mustard was sooooo gooood. I definitely would come here again!

Such a fan of this small shop. Decent craft beers and excellent cheeses. They have so much here including things like sausages, sandwiches, boozy ice cream, and pork rinds. Very efficient use of space. There is a small amount of seating, but definitely worth checking this place out when you are in the hood. There should be more shops like this in Manhattan.

Yum. Interesting little store. Stopped in looking for a quick bite on a 20 minute break. Lucky me. Bought the vegetarian version of their daily sandwich and it was everything not only good, but very happy together-- mound of fresh arugula, zippy roasted and marinated red peppers, artisan mozzarella on a crusty bread. So good. And for $7, right on the money.

Hidden Gem, staff is more well educated and more helpful than any doctor I have have ever visited. Try the beer cheese, or barrel aged honey, lots of hudson valley products.

We were in the area doing our own mini pizza tour, and I had to ensure that our route took us by Murray's. I was hoping to get to try some of their in-house made charcuterie or mac & cheese bar, but our indulgence in nearby pizza places unfortunately left us too full to take on anymore. The shop itself is very well laid out with more options than you could ever imagine. The shop stretches back down a few steps and around the corner where they have much more than cheese. They have excellent options to put together at your whole charcuterie of any size here. They even have some premade options in their cold case if you're looking just for a quick snack for one or two people in a nearby park. I did pick up two options when I was in the store and I will say that both were exactly what I had come to expect for Murray's- delicious. Luckily, or unluckily, I'm not in the area otherwise I think a high amount of my money would be going to the shop.

This class just did not need the standards of other classes I've gone to. The reason I gave this 3-stars is because what you get for $100 is just not worth the price, plus the final product was inedible. The class consists of giving you flour and eggs to make the pasta, then roll it (which was super rushed), a "cheese tasting" (three tiny portions of cheese with some pesto) and unlimited wine (sparking white and red). You then bring the pasta home to cook it (with the instructions to use a fork if you haven't had enough time to roll your dough, which some didn't). I made the pasta when I got home and it was completely inedible as was the person's I went with. The instructor was nice and the room is beautiful, which is why I added a few stars. They're also great about making sure that your wine is filled up. Overall, I would not recommend for this price, especially when the end product was a throwaway.

There was a welcoming ambiance to the place. We shared the Rose Cardamom Pistachio Pastry, and I wish I had gotten one of them with fruit salad and labne. The Rose Cardamom Pistachio Pastry was delicious, layered with delicate mixture of rose and cardamom flavor, and sprinkled with plenty of crushed pistachio. It was sweet, lightly flaky, and slightly crunchy. For my entree, I chose the Truffle Fondue with various types of sausage. The Truffle Fondue was served on top a small flame to keep it warm. It was satisfyingly melty, full of true truffle taste, and quite yummy. It came with pieces of white sourdough bread, which were nicely chewy. The sausage also came with purple grapes, as well as a piece of carrot. Sausage was succulent, juicy, and well seasoned. It was a perfect dipper for the fondue. I would have also liked to have potatoes with it, but each additional ingredient were priced a la carte, so would have to pay more. I wasn't really a fan of that set up and think that each fondue should have included more than just bread. Service was solid. Our waiter was personable and helpful. We were well taken care of throughout. Prices were reasonable, though fondue can get a little up there, depending on what you order with it. I would be open to returning to try the Cheeseburger.

The salad was really tasty, I liked the warm walnuts and the figs added a nice contrast of texture and sweetness. Of the other items in the tasting board, I really enjoyed the Kashkaval cheese. We didn't opt for any add ons/fondue dippers with our fondue, so only had bread. While we did feel full at the end, next time I'd go for an add on for more variety. Highly recommend and can't emphasize the warm hospitality and great service enough.

I don't think they actually milk the goats or wash the rinds, if that's what you're asking. Nor do they have a company retail shop as far as I know, at least not here. Nevertheless, I have had so much pleasure over the years their cheeses in my local shops and restaurants, now called Mitica (meaning "myth") here in the US, that I want to give them a shout-out here. What prompted this was a small sliver of Campo de Montalban I picked up from the "odds and ends" bin at Whole Foods, that happened to be perfectly paired with a bourbon-barrel aged heirloom cider I also bought there, it was a lot like the Spanish cheese Mancheco but more rounded for me with a little funkiness in addition to the nutty taste. Anyway, it was one of those peak cheese moments. Several other Mitica cheeses are on my go-to list, so all I can say is Thank You!!! FWIW they have started to import other mediterranean products like olive oil, chocolate, and so on, but are mostly known for cheese.
