First time trying AYCE skewer hotpot. ~$45/per person. Restaurant was clean, service was good. Waiters were nice and attentive. For hotpot you get to pick two flavors, we tried their bone and Szechuan soup (+1.99). The ordered meats were sliced thinly and tasted well (like other hotpot places). For self served, they have a variety of options for skewers, veggies, seafood, tofu, among others. They also have a small sauce and dessert bar station.

MLBB or Malubianbian is another spicy hotpot where you actually have to cook yourself but they also have pre-cooked items on the menu too. This place used to be a la carte but they transitioned to AYCE and you go to the fridges and grab your own food/items you want. The special thing about this place is that there are items that are skewered. Like tofu on a skewer, seasoned meat on a skewer or bean curd skin on a skewer. It's interesting but it's actually a bit more difficult because you can either boil it with the stick on or take it off. The meats on the stick taste really odd in terms of texture like they use really cheap cuts of meat. They offer like sliced meat that's not on a stick. The initial order came quickly but additional requests ended up not coming. The service is where the downfall of this place is. I ordered additional sliced meat and that didn't come until after my check came. They don't really check up on you if you need more soup or anything like that. The inside is relatively big as most tables are for like 4 people. It's very blue inside as well. There are fridges on the side that contain the raw food and there is a fridge in back where you can create your own dipping sauce. This is no additional charge which is nice. Overall, not a huge fan of the service and the meat quality. It was better when it wasn't AYCE as the quality has dropped a lot. I don't recommend this place.

Just a ridiculous amount of choices for a 25bux AYCE menu... where else can you find this?

Frequent visitor of this place. Price is just super affordable and honestly I don't know for the price where else can you find this amount of selection. The picture here is only for the 25 bux lunch and there is already snails, pork liver, and chicken gizzard, which are normally considered as premium items at most places (dinner there are even crazier selections). What's crazier is the quality is good too! Only concern I have is how the hell can they afford to offer these at this price point unless they are just not doing that well financially. Would be super sad if they go out of business...

My favorite hot pot spot!! I want to say bien bien lol so good You can order the buffet lunch special for $24.99. I might have misread that. Don't quote me on it. The lady with shorter hair was very kind and polite. I ate in peace during my visit. Will Always return here. The spot looks like an outdoor patio indoors with the art work. Dig the art on the walls. Very unique spot. I highly recommend you visit here when you can.

This hot pot restaurant is really the most satisfying one I've eaten recently! The ingredients are fresh, the portions are large, and the dishes are rich, especially the beef and shrimp balls, which are super fresh. The taste of the pot base is also authentic. I ordered the spicy tangerine pot, which was just spicy and not too irritating. The service attitude is very good, the waiter is warm and polite, and the action is also very fast. The environment is clean and tidy, and the overall atmosphere is very comfortable. High cost performance, very satisfying to eat. Whether it is a gathering with friends or a family gathering, it is very suitable, and I will definitely come again!

Loved the spicy hotpot skewers--flavorful, fun, and super satisfying! Skewer hotpot heaven! Great variety and bold flavors. A perfect hotpot experience--fresh skewers, rich broth, and great vibes.

My friend and I wanted to try out a new place and decided this looked good. We went on a Friday evening (parking was horrible, as everyone already mentioned, but we were lucky enough to find a spot after 1 go around) - although there were a lot of people, the line wasn't bad and we were seated pretty quickly. We walked up and down the plaza at first since we couldn't figure out where it was, but the aroma of spice lured up to the right spot. After being seated, we looked at the menu, but weren't quite sure as how everything worked as no one told us the procedures. Perhaps they expected everyone to already know what to do? Anyway - after looking around and at the menu, we figured out what to do and ordered our soups (dinner special included some soup flavors, but not all; additional $ required for some of the more "premium" options and dishes) then got right to picking up our self served ingredients. Overall, the ingredients were decently fresh and in abundance. The soup was okay, but needed a way to customize - some salt, pepper, etc, on the tables would help a lot. Customer service was also decent - dishes were picked up quickly so we could continue grabbing more items. The place was relaxing and while on the louder side, you could still have a conversation without yelling.

This is my second time here, and I came back because the first visit was amazing. The broth is flavorful, ingredients are fresh, and the service is always friendly. Definitely one of my favorite hotpot spots in Rowland Heights!

The resturant is very clean. You could see the tables are super shinning. All the pots looks like brand new pots. The service was very good. before 3pm weekdays you can choose all you can eat. child under certain height will get a half price. i was there after lunch time so its was not crowed at all. its a bit salty. food are fresh. i will come back highly recommed.

self made sauce, not really necessary as the soup base is very tasty.

craving for hot pot and found this place to try, as the other 2 places we had in mind didn't work out (1 was closed, the other had to wait 2 hrs w/o reservation). we walked in, around 6:30pm on Thursday, when they were just setting an emptied table. it's not a huge place but all the tables were filled throughout our dinner. we were told M-Th they serve AYCE for $34/person. we picked combo soup base and freshly sliced, beef and lamb. the rest were displayed inside several refrigerators along the wall. there is a self serve condiments counter with enough selections but not as much as some other hot pot restaurants. the soup base actually was very tasty that dipping sauces were not necessary. not too many green vegetable selections (I only saw napa cabbage, spinach and tong hao). quality of the meat was very good for an AYCE hot pot restaurant compared to similar places locally. service was friendly.

I love MLBB! It's located in Yes Plaza and with that, comes horrible parking. I came here for dinner and I was seated immediately, there's a very comforting vibe to the restaurant and I found it to be very cozy! You order your food via a QR Code and it comes in an instant, after that, you cook everything on your own. You can have up to two choices of broth and I went with the Szechuan Beef Tallow Broth. It's quite spicy unless you're used to spice. Everything else was delicious and I didn't realize how expensive it got to. There are veggies, fish, tofu, proteins, and etc. and you can cook it to your liking. I recommend coming here with a group of friends :)

This was my first time having Chinese hot pot! My friend and I came on a Thursday night and it was a busy night. The parking spaces are kind of tight and the lot fills up quickly so I recommend planning ahead of time just incase there is no available parking. The soup bases are delicious. I tried the mushroom soup base (very strong mushroom flavor base) and the spicy soup (SUPER spicy). I like the idea of the meats being on skewers because it makes it easier to eat! There are various sides that are offered. There are a lot of meat choices and veggies to add to your soup as well. Some of my favorite skewers were: beef with okra, beef with mushroom, and all the vegetable skewers. For all the seafood lovers, they have a wide selection of seafood and fish/squid balls as well. My favorite part is the dipping sauce! The fried pork is something I recommend trying! The service was okay. We got checked in and seated and placed our order; other than that we were not checked in on again until we asked for the bill. It is a very affordable AYCE hot pot restaurant that I recommend going to.

This is an underrated hotpot place. It's in a strip mall in Rowland Heights, where there's ample parking. For whatever reason, the drivers there are kinder and more patient, so as a pedestrian, I feel safe there. The restaurant itself is clean. They automated the process so that you can order your soup base, veggies, meats (on a stick or on a plate), and whatever add-ons you'd like. They have a sauce and spices station (which costs an extra $3 but it's worth it), where you can also get shrimp chips, as well as fruit like watermelon and orange slices for after the meal. My stomach cannot handle spicy stuff so we ordered the mushroom broth. It was flavorful on its own, but mixed with the seasonings we chose, made for a potent soup. We ordered things like beef with enoki mushrooms, wagyu beef, lotus root, and a nice appetizer they call spicy pork (that you dip into ketchup and an orange peppery spice mix) - everything was mouth-wateringly good. We couldn't order more because we were so full as it is, so I suggest going with a large group. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed (we went at lunchtime), and the diners inside were respectful of everybody else. Our server Tee, was friendly and attentive. She made sure our water pitcher was always full and that we understood the mechanics of how to maximize our experience there. We loved our time there so much that we are planning to spend our kid's birthday there because his friends haven't experienced anything like this. It's a forgone conclusion that it will be fun - and that we'll get so much bang for our buck! Pro tip: become a member of their program and get a discount!

I've tried quite a few dishes here and honestly everything has been solid. I usually get the house beef noodle but this time I tried the braised pork noodle. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. The only problem I experienced is how slow the virtual menu was to load and long buffers between each click. At one point it stopped working to reorder so the waitress had to do it manually anyway. We got the half tomato (light spice) and half spicy soup (mild) base and both were really good! I might upgrade to med next time. The meat quality was great, esp the 1 wagyu plate per person that comes with AYCE. Surprisingly the fatty beef was so tender as well. Even the mala beef didn't hurt going in...or out. The bellflower veggie is a must try. Never had this crunchy vegetable before. Love the self serve bar with so many desserts and Chinese chips options.
