Authentic Dongbei cuisine is known for its hearty flavors, generous portions, and comforting homestyle dishes, which is exactly what makes restaurants like this stand out. Highly recommended!

The food at Na Jia Lao Cai was a pleasant surprise. The cold noodles were refreshing and flavorful, with a light broth, chewy noodles, and fresh cucumber, tomato, and kimchi that balanced the taste perfectly. The pickled cabbage pork and blood sausage hot pot was hearty and satisfying, featuring a rich, savory broth, tender pork, and well-seasoned ingredients. The portions were generous, the flavors authentic, and the service was friendly. I would definitely come back again."

The food is fantastic and at a great price for lunch special!

We ordered the Big plate chicken to share, and let me tell you, it was phenomenal! The dish is a spicy chicken stew made with Sichuan peppercorns, cumin, and chili paste, and comes with handpulled noodles. It was my first time trying this type of Chinese-Uyghur crossover dish, and it definitely surpassed my expectations. The portion was incredibly generous as well, as the dish was more than enough for the two of us plus leftovers. The food was for sure a standout! We were a large party and order a lot of items and also ordered from the set menu. I feel this place is the place to go if you have a large dining party, because the set menu will have something that everyone can enjoy. Overall, I liked it a lot and will definitely be back.

My brother order the Black bean with clams , Lobster with lo mein, French Bo Luc Lac, Fried Tilapia, Mapo Tofu, Salt And Pepper Pork, Shrimp With Egg and Vegetables. For the final item. The clam was ok not sandy. The lobster with lo mein was also ok. The French Bo Luck Lac was a little chewy. Not like some places they are soft. The Tilapia and the Shrimp with egg and the Salt And Pepper Pork was good. The vegetable was ok but I don't eat vegetables. My mom used to tell to me to eat vegetables but I still don't. I don't like some vegetables that kind of hard. The service i s some what not ok. In the beginning the service was great cause of no customers. When there were some customers my brother had to go up to talk to the waitress to either get refill for the tea of napkins and the bill too. She wasn't that busy at all. He had to go up 4 to 5 times. We would probably to another place next time.

We just wanted to try these out & I just learned from the other reviews that these are jianbings. These seem simple and healthy since you can taste each ingredient - little to no salt other than from the hot dogs/sauces/cracker/chili oil used to make it spicy. Some might find that bland but I love the simplicity. Great snack/light meal, and more casual than typical Chinese restaurant food. It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.
