I've had this restaurant saved for a long time. The sandwiches were different and worth trying. I got a pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato, and it was delicious. The service unfortunately was lackluster. Maybe next time it'll be better.

I was in the area so I decided to try again and was able to get the French toast, which was quite good. The coffee and eggs weren't anything special but it was fine. I would probably return for the French toast.

Stopped in for lunch today. The owner suggested a new item to try; The Dirty Bird chicken sandwich, comes with a citrus slaw made fresh in-house and delicious serrano pepper aioli. Very good, would order again.

Got the basic breakfast and it was basic, which is good since that's what I was looking for. Next time I'll try something else. Banana pudding was really good. It's big portion so plan on sharing one for two people. Very busy during lunch. Good place for a casual get together.

Excellent food and very kind service. We had juice, coffee, fries, the Upstream, Asian salad, and side of roast vegetables. Everything was just wonderful. The Upstream has definitely inspired me to go home and make my own salmon salad. What a fantastic idea. And I especially enjoyed watching our server make the Asian salad in a giant bowl basically right in front of me behind the counter. Prices are moderate but totally expected for the quality that you get. And I loved the ambiance and decor. Such a nice inviting vibe. Highly recommend.

Mother's Day was great, coffee, breakfast burrito with Argentinian chorizo, called Old Dirty B, amazing! And super cool DJ on the patio keeping with chill Sunday morning vibes. Loved the experience and great craft beer selection as well. The place and staff don't leave anything for chance. Very impressive

I had the Old Dirty B wrap. Loads of filling in the wrap: eggs, potato, Argentinean chorizo, cheese. Came out piping hot that I couldn't hold it. I decided to eat the Caesar salad while I waited for it to cool slightly. It came with a side of sauce which I wasn't sure what it was but it had a nice kick. It might be their Serrano pepper aioli. So much food I couldn't finish it! You can serve yourself water and even bring a pitcher of water to your table if there's a larger party. Hipster place with modern decor.

Went on a mid-day Saturday, a good amount of people and greeted nicely wanting to start a conversation. Was new so took a while to check out their menu, everything looked so good with so many options so asked for help. They were very patient and told me go for THE DIRTY BIRD w/ a side of breakfast potatoes. Let me tell you one of the best Chicken sandwiches I had, and it was enormous definitely worth your buck. The breakfast potatoes were good but the homemade sauce that came with it made them 10x better. Also had gotten one of the in house ipa which was actually really good. There is lots of seating the decor is nice, it gives off neighborhood diner, everyone friendly and nice.

Our first visit to Mamon...This establishment is LIT with a distinct essence of refinement. It is liken to discovering a hidden gem, which on first thought you want to rave from on high and then, in that very same moment, you want to covet for fear the popularity will change the very thing you love. The deco is sleek, classic and presents an unpretentious ambiance. The owner/team are genuinely glad you chose to embark upon their humble creation and are so friendly, so personable, you find yourself wanting to stay a while. And if all that wasn't such an amazing starter, the cuisine is simple but exquisite in execution and taste. Of course, I myself always have a tendency to request a little something extra. Like ordering the Smashed and adding salmon, to which they excelled and delighted. My son had the Glazed and only repeated the word "scrumptious " and never before have we been so thrilled with our feast that we are compelled, in the middle of consumption, to order an additional dish...just because we absolutely had room for another sumptuous pleasure from the menu, in the form of the Banana Pudding French Toast...and O-M-G! If you are looking for delicious food and good customer service then Mamon Catering is a smart choice. Our Christmas party was held at Mamon last year and the food was great! There were about 60 of us and they made sure everyone had a great time. I also appreciated the ease of planning everything and all the different dishes they offered. read more

Discovered this place after getting a medical procedure done next door at Hoag. The reviews on yelp looked good so I gave it a try. The food was freshly made and very delicious! I got the Philly me up sandwich and it was juicy and very flavorful. Can't wait to go back again sometime with some friends and try their other sandwiches. Would highly recommend. read more

Have lived in Baker Ranch for a little over a year now and have never tried this place until today. We were looking for a quick casual lunch spot and was pleasantly surprised at how great the food was. Got the Just the Tip and Al Horno sandwiches with fries on the side. We also got an iced tea and a beer on tap. With tip spent $41.00. Sat outside with lots of self seating tables to choose from. Mamóns is an excellent local place with great service. I recommend the Seasonal Salad with some tri tip or the Just the Tip sandwich for dinner. This is one of our local go-to places. It is so nice to have an owner like Evangelo take so much care of his customers. The staff is always excellent and gracious. His menu has only high quality unique fare. I love it ! And his craft beer taps are the BEST in Foothill Ranch! Mamón's is absolutely open during these tough times and will be for the future. Great food and vibes for breakfast. Wife and I split the Loaded and had the Toasted for desert. Both were amAzing. The dipping sauce for the Loaded had a nice, faint, zing. The Toasted was not too sweet, just right. Been here for late lunch, but now know breakfast is awesome too. read more

Went on a Saturday morning at 9 and they had just opened so it wasn't crazy busy. I got the loaded with Argentinian chorizo and it was delish. Also tried the cream brûlée French toast and that was very good and not at all as overwhelmingly sweet as I thought it would be. The orange juice is really good and if you get coffee it comes in a press so it has like two cups in it. The staff was super friendly. read more

The food was good but it took way too long to get the food. No one greated us when we got there. We weren't sure if if we should grab a table or wait. There were 2 people cooking and one person clearing tables and 1 bartender. It was our first time there so it would have been useful to know where to go to order etc and the wait was very long to even place our order. The bartender was working and trying to take orders. It wasn't packed for how long it took to get our food so not sure we would come back. read more

This restaurant is truly a family favorite - from the amazing brunch options on the weekend to lunch/dinner options during the week, our meals are guaranteed to be delicious. Our favorites have been the chancho en cama sandwich, grilled cheese (kids favorite) and the French toast (brunch only). We would be here every week, but it can get a little pricey. Mamón is a go-to place for me and my family, especially for the breakfast (which we get for lunch sometimes also). In particular, the Hammered burrito is outstanding. I'm a big meat-lover but this burrito is unbelievable without meat. Add some fries and that crazy serrano mayo (might be too spicy for some folks) they have here and you're in heaven. read more

I didn't want to bring the stars down for this place because it's so delicious and they have QUALITY food but I will say I've experienced some snobby attitudes from employees both times I went. Won't really stop me from coming but I'd like to see people care more about service. Locate at the middle of town, simple and open, clean and not cluster, short menus with adult beverage available - good! Own and run (kitchen) by son of Inka Mama next door, food presentation is good, sandwich taste wonderful. This was our 2nd visit. Had dinner earlier this week and now enjoyed a late afternoon lunch. First, the decor is adorable. I love the reclaimed wood, concrete floors, bench seats, mixed with blue tiles mixed with modern and industrial fixtures. Cool casual vibe. Note this not upscale, but high quality fresh ingredients so you get what you pay for. Dinner a few days ago was good! I got the chicken plate (6oz) and sweet potatoes. The food is very flavorful, and they could prob tone down the sauces a bit, but that's just my personal preference, not a requirement. Delicious chicken and the seer potatoes almost tasted like dessert! I also got the caprese salad, but def too much food. Next time one or the other unless I'm sharing the salad. And KUDOS to the gal behind the counter who let us know wine bottles are half price during happy hour (yes please!). With 2 meals, salad and wine, I think we spent $60ish. So today, We came in for a late lunch. I'd been eyeing the Avo Toast photos on IG and needed to try it for myself! Needless to say, i will be back for this. And often! The toast was perfect. Avo's ripe, tomatoes juicy and sweet, balsamic ratio was perfect and there was a sauce that had a little spice to it as well. So good! This is my new fav meal. With 2 avo toast plus 2 ice teas, it was $25. I can't wait to try more things. We will be back! read more

I've been here about five times over the last six months because I enjoy the food. However, upon my last visit I ordered teh steak with a side of sweet potato and I got very ill ;( Not sure what caused it but I was sad. I will say though, it is the only time I've had an upset stomach after eating here so perhaps I got something that had been sitting around for a bit. I really do think this was a rare experience but I will be taking a break from the restaurant for a bit. read more

I discovered this place on Yelp when we were craving a sandwich, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the staff warmly welcomed us and shared that each dish has a unique Peruvian flair. I ordered the "Just the Tip," and my husband got the Chicken Pesto sandwich. The two brothers that own this restaurant are amazing. The food recommendations they make are spot on. The food tastes great. If you need to host a business lunch, I advise you call ahead and give this restaurant a try. If you want to have brunch or a lunch date, it is highly recommended.
