Was looking for good authentic Mexican food with a lot of variety at reasonable prices and Las Fajitas fit the bill perfectly. We came in on Tuesday, looking for a good Taco Tuesday deal and found exactly what we were looking for- lots of options for tacos at a good discount. Some places limit you to chicken or beef, but Las Fajitas has many, many options including fish, but not just one type of fish, they have tilapia, salmon, magi mahi, ahi, more choices than I've seen anywhere in the area- and if was really good, not just a few pieces of meat on a tor. Having been to several other taco places in the area, i think this is one of best menus I've seen. It's nice to not be limited to just one type of fish or to have only deep fried, that's what you get at places like Rubios, which just doesn't compare the choices here The lady at the counter was super nice, helped explain the big menu, and made sure we got what we wanted- we ordered a bunch of tacos and she made sure the order was right, repeating everything. Even after that, the cook in the back came over to double check he got our order right, it's all of these details that really made for a great experience Also, chips and salsa are among the best you can get. It's free! Most other places charge for chips these days, not here- it's not only included with your taco, but it's fresh and warm. Definitely coming back again for our taco fix. read more

I came in on a Tuesday and ordered 3 tacos, and a fajita burrito. The gentleman who took my order was very courteous and patient with me. They have a wonderful salsa bar - after covid you don't find many places who offer this! But they do, and it's all delicious. They do ask you only take what you'll eat. So I was really looking forward to a good experience. 4.4 is a good rating so i thought for sure it would be. Much of what was there was pretty good. The salsas were good. The sauce on my Azteca burrito was good. The place is very clean and well cared for. The people were very friendly and even brought chips and a refill! That was the good. I am puzzled why the meats were of really poor quality especially the steak. I would expect more from a place taking what seemed to be a lot of care to be good. My wife had a Chile Verde burrito. Flavor was just ok, but the meat was also negligible especially at $15. My burrito wasnt really stuffed much either and sadly the carne asada, which looked good, though also not a lot, was so grisly i chewed each bite a while and just had to spit out probably 50% or more because it was all tendons and gristle, so it was like an old piece of gum after a minute and starts to hurt the jaw. I would have given this place such a good review if they had good steak and verde. Really bummed, I was hoping for a good meal, but the meat is the center of it all and if that isn't good then it makes all the other effort not worth it. Really sorry to have to write this, but sadly so many restaurants just don't appreciate the value of quality. Spend the money on quality ingredients. People line up at restaurants that make quality food. I hope they buy better meat from now on, i just can't recommend it as it is. read more

Drove by multiple times never thought to try it out , Tucked in the corner of the shopping center . Was craving a burrito but was hesitant to order as most places around are kinda of a disappointment to pay 15 to 20 bucks for a burrito and made with no love. But looking through google maps Las Fajitas caught my eye . Mann it was delicious ! Soft warm rice , crunchy fajita vegetables and not over charred or burnt carne asada but tender and cooked the way I like, they even lightly cooked the outside of the tortilla just to give it that extra nice bite ! Service is good too . I am very pleased , if your in Lake forest area or near by come here . Forget taco stand and other bs places . Well worth it here ! Will be back for sure . Had this place delivered via door dash and it was super worth it! Their portion sizes are solid and everything tasted fresh. We got the chilaquiles and breakfast burrito and it was 10/10. I stopped by Las Fajitas Restaurant in Lake Forest and had a great experience. I ordered the asada burrito lunch special, which comes with chips and a drink -- really good value for the price. The burrito was flavorful and well-portioned, with tender, well-seasoned asada. Everything tasted fresh. One of my favorite parts was their salad/salsa bar -- they have about 4-5 different salsas to choose from, plus pickled carrots, corn, and fresh pico de gallo. It's nice being able to customize your meal just how you like it. The restaurant itself is very clean, which I always appreciate. They had great Latin (salsa) music playing in the background -- not too loud, just enough to give it a good vibe. The staff was also very nice and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. They also serve alcohol, including beer and margaritas, which is a nice option if you want to relax and enjoy your meal. I needed to cater a small (25 people) party at my house, and decided we wanted Mexican food to serve to our guests. Scouring Yelp, we found Las Fajitas, but there was a small problem: I had never ever eaten there before. "I don't want you to worry," said Sandra the manager, "come on down and try our food, you will love it. Do you have time now?" 30 mins later I walk into Las Fajitas for the first time, met Sandra's staff who were waiting for me, and 10 mins later I have a full plate of grilled chicken , steak, black beans, rice, fresh guacamole and tortillas. On the house. They were that confident that I would love their food. I did. So we ordered their "Taco Bar" , a make your own taco set up, we picked Mahi Mahi fish, chicken as our meats for tacos, and it came with all the fixings, including flame grilled veggies . Sandra delivered it all personally the day of my party, right on time , and helped set up all the chafing dishes at my house. Just amazing service. I ordered a chile verde burrito for takeout. The chile verde burrito is basically pork cooked in chile verde sauce. I thought there would be more salsa inside the burrito even though I ordered it dry, but it didn't have a lot so I'm glad I grabbed a couple containers of salsa from their salsa bar. I ordered the Chicken and Ground Beef Enchiladas half red and half green sauce. It comes with a choice of pinto or black beans and also rice. Solid little spot, I always get the steak fajitas to go and they never disappoint. The meat is seasoned nicely and it's definitely enough to fill me up when I'm finished. Came in enough for the chef to notice (sometimes they will come from the back to take your order) and the staff is very kind and easy going. The location is small and it may seem under staffed, but the food is always ready in a timely manor and the amount I get is consistent every time. We've been coming to Las Fajitas for a few years and for some reason, I'm barely getting around to writing this review. Honestly, this one is long overdue because I absolutely love this place! Las Fajitas is located in the city of Lake Forest, in a small strip mall. It's right off of the 5 freeway at the Lake Forest Exit. This is a shared parking lot that never seems to be incredibly busy. So, parking it plentiful. Las Fajitas' menu is pretty straightforward, but you can make modifications to your order. Thankfully, Sandra, their manager always remembers me and my order is always perfect! I always feel so welcome when I come in! The dining room is small but cozy. It's always very clean when we come in. Covered outdoor seating is also available if you want to enjoy a light breeze on the perfect day. There is a small salad bar with the menu displayed directly above it. The food is made to order and never tastes like they're cutting corners. The shrimp always seems to be fresh and perfectly seasoned. I absolutely love Mexican rice and I can tell that it's freshly made. The beans never taste like they're from a can and I really appreciate the authenticity of each meal! Las Fajitas is one of my favorite hidden gems! You'd never know that it was there because it's so easy to miss. It's adjacent to the outdoor shops and is situated closer to the freeway view from the parking lot. We were looking for a Tex-Mex restaurant to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Yelp led us to this hidden gem. There is plenty of parking and seating available inside and outside. It has a nice relaxing atmosphere, not too noisy or crowded. You place your order at the counter and seat yourself. Complimentary chips are served when you are seated. They have an awesome complimentary salsa bar with lots of variety. I ordered the steak fajitas. The steak was seasoned perfectly and tender. The veggies were cooked just right. Careful, the plate is hot. How many times have you heard that? Well this time it was the real deal. It was so hot it would send an Ove Glove up in flames. I came here for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. It's located in an old strip mall with a couple other small restaurants and a Salvation Army store. Take a seat at any open table and order from a menu or go to the front counter and order off the gigantic menu on the wall. I think either way is okay. I ordered a combination plate with a cheese enchilada and carnitas taco (combos come with the standard rice & beans). I munched on some chips while waiting for my meal to arrive. There is a salsa bar to choose whichever one you want to accompany your chips and to spice up your food. I also enjoyed a horchata which was excellent even though it wasn't homemade. The cheese enchilada was thin and super cheesy while the taco was so stuffed with shredded pork and other fillings and the tortilla so soft that it was impossible to pick up without it completely falling apart. The pork was lightly seasoned and some salsa was definitely needed to give it some oompf. Thanks to that hot plate all my food was plenty warm right down to the last bite. I also had some churros which were made to order so they were fresh and hot. The chocolate drizzle and the cup of caramel provided for dipping made this a sweet dessert that I thoroughly enjoyed. Service by the lone young woman who was taking care of tables and phone orders was spectacular; kudos to her for doing an efficient job with a smile, sparkle, and charm. We ordered two Burrito Special's, instead we got two burritos with black beans, rice, cheese and carne. That is not what we ordered. Again this is the third time you have done this and all three times it was substituted by what we think you call the Newport Burrito. Today I had to add onto my order and they were so kind and understanding and had it come up all the same time Ashley was at the front of the restaurant multitasking doing a fantastic job all with a smile. I have been there several times over the past few months as my office is now located down the street. I would NEVER go to a drive through again, not when I can get quality Mexican food for about the same price. I love shrimp and have ordered shrimp tacos and shrimp enchaldas... they are always cooked to perfection, unlike higher priced restaurants on Lake Mission Viejo (ok, Hacienda) where they are overcooked and rubbery. Their enchelada verde sause is the bomb! Their Tuesday taco special is off the charts. I got a shrimp taco and shreaded beef, chips and salsa bar for..... $7.50!!! How can you beat that!
