Great service, ambiance, and food/drink selections! A good place for all as there are so many options for everyone, whether you enjoy Thai or Japanese style food. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted, seated, and given water. We always love attentive service! We started out with the coco spring roll app and it was delicious and their own take on a spring roll. The sweet chili sauce with it paired perfectly. We ordered 3 rolls as well, but one stood out over the rest. The volcano roll is absolutely loaded with delicious seafood, sauce with cream cheese, and massago. Typically I do not enjoy any rolls with cream cheese but this was definitely the exception to that. We also ordered the hamachi roll and spicy heat roll (tuna). Hamachi is one of my go-to's but this was just way to spicy for it to just have jalapeño in it. Couldn't taste anything but spice and some cilantro which was disappointing because I really love hamachi itself. I probably should have just gotten the sashimi. The spicy heat roll also had jalapeño in it but it did nothing really. Ate the whole slice of jalapeño each time for each roll and no real kick. There was clearly a big difference in the jalapeños they used in each roll. I love spice but I also love a good balance where I can still taste the main dish or element with a good kick of spice. We still really enjoyed the spicy heat roll since the tuna was quite fresh. Overall a good experience and we would definitely love to come back and try more options as I said their menu is extensive. read more

I've been here a couple of times and always have a great experience! This time though, unfortunately I have to give it 3 stars. The food was amazing and so were the drinks! The ambiance is great, super chill, low music playing in the background and awesome vibes. My server was very nice but spoke very little English, I asked her if they had Coke Zero and she brought me a Diet Coke, so I noticed her English wasn't that great and pulled up a picture of a Coke Zero to show her on my phone. She comes back with a regular Coke! I wasn't mad lol I just said nevermind and went on with our dinner. The one thing that made me very upset is that, when we went to pay, my sister had a Groupon and when we presented it to the server (now it's another server who speaks English) she did honor it, but got upset when we asked to split the check (mind you, we asked her to split it only between 2 ppl) she charged us double the tax and double the tips which were already included on the check! Our last dinner in Florida before heading back home. They were not busy on a Friday night at all but service definitely took a very long time. We waited quite a while to get water, order, and get our food to our table. Waiting for the check was also lengthy. They seemed fairly well staffed as well. Their sushi was not bad, coming from Seattle I might be used to having very good quality fish, so it wasn't top tier for me. We ordered a sushi boat for 2 at an unbeatable price. There is very little on the menu that is true vegetarian, most things have oyster or fish sauce. My friend had the Mongolian beef and he thought it was very good. I had to settle for a vegetable stir fry made with Teriyaki sauce. I like the food portions here and the pricing. They have a rather large outside and inside eating area that should accommodate just about any large crowd. Small bar area with an open kitchen. Street or garage parking is your only option in this area. They have a nice selection of appetizers and they have both Thai and Japanese menus. I purchased a groupon, no where on groupon did it say 20% gratuity would be included. You find out when you get to the actual restaurant with a sign saying 20% gratuity will be included which is very misleading because the groupon didn't say that. I ate the whole thing, which was probably too much for 1 sitting but it was really good. My friend got the poke combination with brown rice and spicy ponzu and was raving about it. Even though the restaurant looked nice inside, we chose to sit outside. The outside area is really nothing special but the weather was spectacular. Our server Steven took care of us. He recommended a few items on the menu as well as drinks. We chose the Cucumber Infusion with Avion Silver Tequila and the Lychee Martini with Absolut Vodka. The specialty drink menu does not show the prices. As an appetizer, we ordered the "Q Spring Rolls", rice wrappers stuffed with chicken, shitake mushrooms, bean thread noodles and sweet chili sauce ($7.99). When these came out, we were surprised to see they were fried like Egg Rolls. We asked one of the waiters and he said that those are the right ones and that they are different than a usual spring roll. I get that but, no where on the menu it said that they were fried. Speaking of MENUS***, their menus need to be thrown away. They are all falling apart, the plastic is lifting up and they just feel dirty (see pics*). For our dinner, we ordered the BOAT FOR ONE, 9 piece sashimi, 6 piece sushi and california roll ($28.99). It was HUGEEEEE. We also ordered two specialty rolls. Spicy Heat Roll Spicy tuna, scallion, avocado, tempura flakes, topped with tuna and jalapeno ($17.75) and Sex and The City Roll Cooked shrimp, eel, tuna, asparagus, avocado, scallion, masago, tempura flakes topped with sesame seed and eel sauce ($16.75). We ordered two glasses of white wine to go with our sushi. Overall, the sushi was fantastic. Our server Steven was attentive although he did get busy towards the end. The have indoor/outdoor seating; we opted to sit inside because it was raining earlier. We ordered the Vietnamese Spring Rolls as an appetizer (2 per order with two different sauces; one sweet & one spicy), they were really filling & pretty tasty. For the entree's we had Miso Ramen w/ chicken & beef and Panang Curry. I enjoyed the curry & my husband enjoyed his Ramen. I thought the ramen lacked a bit in flavor. I came here for a friend for lunch. She had the pad thai and I had a sashimi bowl that was on their special. The sushi bowl looked small but it's quite filling. My friend said her pad Thai was good as well. My friend had never had bubble tea (which is a tea with milk and tapioca balls in the bottom that you suck up with your straw while you drink it) she agreed to try it. I asked him for 1 regular the. Another one of his popular sellers. He suggested the Taro which is a root vegetable and didn't sound like it would taste good but I am glad he recommended that. It was delicious. The only thing I didn't like was there was ice in the bubble tea which made trying to get all your tapioca once you were done with your drink difficult. Rolls and Chicken Wings: They've always been known for their large, fresh chicken wings and that is still the case. We ordered several different types of rolls and hand rolls. Eel hand rolls. Tuna hand rolls. A Miami roll. If you know anything about rolls you know that sometimes they can be small or they may not have enough product inside. These rolls were large. These wings were large. Diets: We typically follow a low-carb high protein diet and this place is excellent for that type of eating or for diabetics or for people who are watching their weight. We don't typically order noodles but they are very popular here. Nothing disappointed. Service: Our waitress was so attentive to making sure we had everything just right or she was willing to redo it for us!!! She knew we hadn't been in there in a long time and made us feel very welcome again Clean & Cared: Yes. Very clean and well maintained. Dining inside or out. Prices: You and I both know that the price of food has skyrocketed during the pandemic so yes, this restaurant, as well as every other one that we've been to, increase their costs but let me say this. We did not find any price on reasonable. The hand rolls, while they were twice as expensive as before, we're also twice as large. The bowl of soup was not any more expensive but the bowl was larger ... Expected to pay more, we did, but we were just as impressed with the amount of food the freshness and the taste and really, we couldn't then balk at the price. But, in an effort to be transparent with my reviews, I do need to mention that yes the prices went up .. There are many restaurants in the Promenade Plaza in Coconut Creek but this particular restaurant is right in the heart of the plaza. On the weeknights, it is packed and overflowing, as weekends. We really appreciate that they started doing delivery during the pandemic. They may have new ownership now and sometimes that's not always a good thing but in this case, we feel that it is good. I was disappointed in the quality of the fish it didn't seem that fresh and wasn't all that appealing. I was surprised at the cost of a glass of Coca Cola at $4.50. Had a delicious meal today I had the Miami shrimp tempura roll and my friend had lobster roll with tempura veggies is quiet a feast. A little expensive but not out of line with today's prices and we had enough left overs for another meal. We also had hot Saki and my friend a glass Chardonnay.
