We called ahead to make sure they were open and they had a table all set up for my husband and I and our 19-month old daughter - with a cute plate, little baby spoon, and highchair ready for her. Our waitress was so nice and the sweet tea was delicious. This is Southern granny cooking just like my grandma made when I was a child. You can order single plates but the best deal is their family-style for $23 a person with black-eyed peas, green beans, stewed tomatoes, biscuits and corn bread, mashed potatoes and gravy and fried chicken with one other protein - we chose pot roast and it was soft and delicious. I wanted dessert - but it was so filling we had to skip although all their pies sounded wonderful. This is a historic old log cabin-type building with plenty of tables inside and they were super nice and low-key for us and our baby. Food was out almost instantly and everything was delicious.
