Deep Dish Italian Beef with Giardiniere. Plenty for a family of four.

Outstanding job by Nayeli's staff. They made a special order Italian beef deep dish pizza that was out of this world. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. This is as good a pizza as you'll find in downtown Chicago. We will definitely be back. Oh... and they delivered to The Abbey making it an easy choice for dinner for the family.

This was the only place we could find in the are that was open so we gave it a try. It was an extra bonus that they delivered to our hotel and their Monday special was a large 1-topping pizza for $5. The Caesar salad came with the dressing on and was average at best. The cheese fries were over cooked. We ordered the fried mushrooms and they were pretty good. They had an Italian breading of some kind. Then there was the pizza. I was have to say it was ok at best. The crust wasn't cooked through and was very bland. They piled on the cheese but it was just ok.

At some point, they expanded the restaurant so it can easily handle over 150 people and I'm guessing anywhere is up to 180 people. Was very clean inside and appears that it had been painted not too long ago. Our waitress was Alaina. Hope I spelled, her name right. Very good waitress and made sure she took care of us. I had a few questions about the food on the menu and she had all the answers. I got what I think was called the sweet potato brisket skillet. My girlfriend had just eggs, toast, hashbrowns with bacon. She said the coffee was OK. She's a little fussy with the coffee so we've had a few places where it's been great. She says it's drinkable and she liked it. Good enough! They give you generous portions of food. The bacon was cooked crispy the way she likes it and the eggs were done perfectly. Hashbrowns taste fresh and good and never cooked perfectly. They under utilize salt, but there's probably a good reason for it and that's why you have salt at the table. The skillet I had, however, was real good! Generous portions of brisket and the sweet potatoes were cut strips and grilled and tender. It had chunks of green peppers which were grilled and you could tell they were fresh. Fresh grilled onions and chunks of tomatoes inside. It was loaded with cheese too. My eggs were done to perfection and I had the sourdough toast. Their sourdough toast is Home made style bread. I don't believe it's baked in the restaurant, but it was very good. Once again, very generous portions. The place is huge inside with plenty of elbow room. As for the price, their prices were average and in line with other places we've eaten breakfast in the area. The whole staff that is there greeted you at one point or the other. Very friendly staff. They are also open for lunch and dinner. The place is busy for breakfast so I'm guessing that they're Friday night fish fries probably pretty packed. I highly recommend Sammy's on the square.

I wanted to order the special of the day which was the fried chicken but my waitress made me feel she didnt want me to order them by saying "This would be an additional 20 minute wait. Are you sure that you want to make your table wait for your food?" So I decided on the sampler since I knew this would be my one time at the diner since we were visiting. BBQ sauce was a little too hot for my liking but loved their ranch and their cheese curds were very good! Thought the breading on my onion rings were good and complimented the onion well. The chicken tenders were just okay. Just regular chicken tenders.

I asked the waitress and she said it was the same amount. That was disappointing, but ok. My daughter ordered ramen with pork belly and she loved it. I ordered the steak (tenderloin medallions) and chicken hibachi which came with rice and vegetables and a salad, but I wasn't served the salad. When I asked, the waitress brought it out. Again ok, but I would have preferred it before my entree. The waitress offered a to go box! I told her I wanted it so I was going to eat it. It was good and I liked the ginger dressing. Despite the mishaps, the food was excellent. I'm glad we arrived when we did because by the time we were done every table was filled. I'm glad we found this place and we will try again. I actually want to try the lava chicken next time. It looked and sounded good. Will add this place to our list for future Lake Geneva trips.

The real excitement of this place is found in the upstairs and downstairs bar areas. The downstairs area is known as the Rathskeller which is like an old dank cellar, great for parties. The craft beers they make here are decent, but on the little on the tame side, although I would recommend their I-5 draught IPA. The wine and dessert menus are very limited, but I noticed that they do sell a cannabis infused seltzer. They do keep things interesting menu-wise with monthly specials and featured Dane deal specials. The food overall is on the 3 to 4 star level which is fine as long as you're expectations aren't too high. Everything's handled on the handheld device, including the final payment and tip. The sandwich was ok, the corned beef was tough and big pieces would pull out of the sandwich when I tried to take a bite. Some beers were good and some were not, the highlight of our visit was the service at the bar.

Dakota, our server, did a fine job greeting us and taking our orders. I started with a very tasty spinach with hot bacon dressing salad. I lived in Milwaukee as a kid and it reminded me of the great dinners at Maders. Excellent salad! Our hosts had a dinner salad and the squash soup. All tasty. My wife ordered the Chix Jonathon and I the Chix Marsala with extra Mushrooms. The Chix Jonathon was terrific. My marsala was a disappointment in that instead of a thicker gravy type sauce it was a broth. It was watery and not real flavorful. The side vegetables were terrific. Our hosts each had ribeyes and they loved them saying the best steaks in weeks. We finished with carrot cake and key lime pie. I have lived in Florida for 30yrs and the Keys for a large part of it. I think I know key lime pie. This was the real deal! Excellent! I thought the carrot cake was dry and not the greatest. Just ok. Tiffany , the owner, came by and thanked us as our dinner ended. Nice touch!

My husband and I wanted a quick and good dinner one Sunday recently, and we picked Grill House after I read some good reviews on Yelp.  Although it's a casual, fast-food-style restaurant, the menu is surprisingly extensive, with a wide variety of healthy Greek dishes. It was definitely helpful to look over their menu online before we visited, because the menu board inside could be a bit overwhelming.  I guess I still looked quite confused when I saw 2 kiosks in front of the ordering counter.  A staff behind the counter offered to help, and I just ordered directly with him.  Later of the evening I discovered that he's the friendly owner Gus. After placing our order at the counter, we were given a table number, and our food was delivered promptly.  I ordered a Chicken Souvlaki Plate ($17.50 at the time, it's now listed online for $18), while my husband ordered a Filet Mignon Souvlaki Plate ($25.50).  Each souvlaki plate included a soup or salad, rice and potato (1 piece), a side of veggies, and pita bread in a paper bag.  It was a generous amount of food! We both chose the lentil soup, which was served piping hot in a nice ceramic bowl with a lid. It was flavorful and comforting. My chicken souvlaki was tender and juicy, never dry, and both the rice and potato were delicious. We were both impressed with the quality and value of the meal. I ordered a lemonade, which is considered a fountain drink ($4.00) and comes with free refills, though I couldn't even finish my first glass. My husband would have ordered a glass of wine if we hadn't had plans afterward, so we were happy to see that Grill House also serves beer and wine for a future visit. The service was another highlight. Everyone was warm and welcoming; a special shout-out to Kevin, who was very attentive and checked in on us several times.  When I was taking photos around the restaurant, the owner Gus greeted me again, which was a nice personal touch. The restaurant itself was bright, clean, and inviting. There's also a pleasant patio for those who prefer to dine outdoors. We will definitely be back to try more dishes from their extensive menu.  I am glad that we finally gave Grill House a try!
