    Carne Asada Pupusa

I have had Pupusas at over 30places or more in Los Angeles and California and across the states to Florida. I ordered a Carne asada pupusa and it was hands down the best I have had. As big as my hand and thick and full of meat and cheese. Everything here is delicious! Great Job ! Thank you for the wonderful food amd nice staff! Takes a while but they are making everything fresh!

Dirty dishes were there for a really long time.

The food is way overpriced and the staff is really rude. I ended up paying $22.00 for eggs, 3 small plantain slices and a small tiny cup of beans and a soda. Besides, it took them 24 minutes to serve the order, and 2 tables had dirty dishes on them when I got there, by the time I got out, about 45minutes after, the dirty dishes were still there. The food is definitely not good for the time it took. Really disappointed about this place.

Let's see call to placed an order and no one answer. I drove to the restaurant and the women are gossiping with one another.... ah that's why you didn't pick up, el chisme must be juicy. Anyways this place is not hard to find. today's special was 3 for $3.75 .... ( beans with cheese, mix chicharrón beans and cheese) but not the regular ones which are cheese ‍... anyways I order 5 chicharrón with cheese and 5 cheese. For $23 and something change... which was not bad. The special cortito ( wet salad ) was not greatest..: it needed something ... every the red salsa was bland. Overall the pupusas were a 6/10 .

After tasting my old neighbor's "panes con pavo" (homemade), I was hooked. It's a traditional Salvadorean chicken/ sandwich (Panes con Pavo Salvadoreno), not exactly a traditional sandwich. I was told they make this sandwich when they have leftover turkey made for Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't know of this place until one day for lunch my friend walked in the kitchen with yucca fries and chicharron from La Sabrosa Restaurant. I love love chicharron. This place is famous for their long list of variety of "pupusas". I perused the menu and guess, I found "pan con pollo! I called and ordered for a pick-up" the next day. The sandwich is huge! It was in a "bolillo" (submarine) bread, spread mustard and mayo inside the bread, in it is the entire leg of a chicken with bones, and one seasoned hardboiled eggs and watercress, tomato, onion and dipping sauce. I didn't need anything else. It's super good!.

The first time I tried the pupusas here which was last year I think? I remember not liking them at all so I never went back but yesterday I needed something quick to take to work for my lunch & decided to give this place another try. I ordered 2 pupusas of chicharron & queso and 1 of queso con loroco and to my surprise they were actually really good. Now I'm confused like are they just good on some days and bad on other days? Or was I just hungry? Lol. So 4 stars just cause they were actually good this time but I'll have to come back another day & see how they are. They were a bit pricey though imo, it was like $11 just for 3 pupusas with no drink or anything.

It really saddened me to make this review but sadly my father found this piece of plastic in the soup. He was very concerned and disgusted. Another thing is that they did forget a ginger tea from our order. I do hope that the restaurant could do something about this and all the reviews on this site.

If you love pupusas then this is the spot. The wait is long but it's worth it. Spring for the yucca fritas con chicharron as well.

Juan was awesome -- very informative, even shared a little history of Pupusa's :) Nonetheless, the service was great but the food ** chefs kiss ** was phenomenal! We got 6 pupusa's -- 2 Bean & Cheese, 1 Pork & Cheese, 1 Al Pastor & Cheese, 1 Garlic & Cheese and 1 Asada & Cheese -- the garlic & cheese was our favorite, but all of them were phenomenal! We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!

Service was quick, there is a big dining room with plenty of seating in case you want to dine in, looked very clean. Massive pupusas with a lot of filling, not one of those restaurants that give you nothing but masa, these pupusas were legit. They come with Curtido and the usual salsa roja. So much flavor packed into these things, these are some of the best pupusas I've ever had, good size and they do not cheap us out on filling. Definitely try em if you're in the area!
