When I politely reported this to the waitress, instead of addressing the issue professionally, she became visibly upset and defensive. She made excuses, insisting it couldn't have come from them, and refused to replace the soup with a clean one. On top of that, the Horchata I ordered was spoiled had clearly gone bad. When I asked for a replacement, the staff again gave me a hard time, acting as though I was inconveniencing them for simply requesting a drink that wasn't rotten. Several other customers were also complaining about the same issue with the Horchata, proving it wasn't an isolated case. The food is ok. Very hit and miss. The pupusas have a ton of masa and little filling. Their food is also so so overpriced for what they sell and the service they provide. The portions of their breakfast are so small I wouldn't recommend this place. They also pass on their merchant fee to their customers they charge $1 extra to pay with your card. lol what a joke. I have had Pupusas at over 30places or more in Los Angeles and California and across the states to Florida. I ordered a Carne asada pupusa and it was hands down the best I have had. As big as my hand and thick and full of meat and cheese. Everything here is delicious! Great Job ! Thank you for the wonderful food amd nice staff! The food is way overpriced and the staff is really rude. I ended up paying $22.00 for eggs, 3 small plantain slices and a small tiny cup of beans and a soda. Okay, I agree with some reviews about the customer service. I ordered my pupusas in advance. Lots of complaints were because of the wait for food. I opted to remove that issue by ordering over the phone. I arrived to pick up my order and the cashier was not friendly, didn't greet me, barely looked at me (not sure she could see past the thick, fake lashes) but whatever. I brought my order home and was thrilled. Really, really good pupusas. Cheesy, packed with meat. Yummy. I recommend this spot. read more

After tasting my old neighbor's "panes con pavo" (homemade), I was hooked. It's a traditional Salvadorean chicken/ sandwich (Panes con Pavo Salvadoreno), not exactly a traditional sandwich. I was told they make this sandwich when they have leftover turkey made for Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't know of this place until one day for lunch my friend walked in the kitchen with yucca fries and chicharron from La Sabrosa Restaurant. I love love chicharron. This place is famous for their long list of variety of "pupusas". I perused the menu and guess, I found "pan con pollo! I called and ordered for a pick-up" the next day. The sandwich is huge! It was in a "bolillo" (submarine) bread, spread mustard and mayo inside the bread, in it is the entire leg of a chicken with bones, and one seasoned hardboiled eggs and watercress, tomato, onion and dipping sauce. The first time I tried the pupusas here which was last year I think? I remember not liking them at all so I never went back but yesterday I needed something quick to take to work for my lunch & decided to give this place another try. I ordered 2 pupusas of chicharron & queso and 1 of queso con loroco and to my surprise they were actually really good. Now I'm confused like are they just good on some days and bad on other days? Or was I just hungry? Lol. So 4 stars just cause they were actually good this time but I'll have to come back another day & see how they are. They were a bit pricey though imo, it was like $11 just for 3 pupusas with no drink or anything. read more

I live close to this restaurant so, I pass by it daily and had not tried it. It doesn't ever really look packed. We decided to try it out for dinner. It was empty when we walked in so we were able to order right away. Establishment was clean, tables and chairs were put away and the ladies were all wearing a mask. There was also plexi divider where you order, so they are keeping it pretty safe for customers. I ordered a total of 9 pupusas and my total came out to $24.97, which isn't that bad. Depending on the day of the week you go, they have specials. It was Tuesday when we went so they had a special going on of 3 pupusas de arroz (3 filling types to choose from) for $4.50. Honestly those were more tasty than the maíz pupusas- they were too greasy for my taste. They were all tasty, just not over the top delicious. Customer service was good though , and it's more convenient to call your order in. You can walk in and place your order but you have to return in about 25 minutes to pick it up. read more

Reading through the reviews, I'm a little surprised! I love this little hole-in-the-wall pupuseria. The service is always pretty good when I come here. They are a little bit slow but they are handmade once you order so it's expected that there will be a wait. This is seriously my go-to place for pupusas. The curtido is always fresh and if you eat in they have fresh jars for you! My fav dishes here are obviously the pupusas, the desayuno salvadoreño, pan con pollo, and the pastelitos. One of my favorite spots for pupusas. They always include everything in the bag. The veggie one mixed with garlic and jalapeño is my favorite pupusa. There Jamaica water is always yummy, refreshing and the perfect pair I've also got to try there deep fried quesadillas! Their pupusas are SO good, and it's incredible how hot they still are when delivered. One of the best spots in the valley! My total on this order was $42. It seemed overpriced in my opinion but I didn't pay it much mind since it was my first time trying out the place and of course I'm all for supporting restaurants open during the pandemic. The pupusas were good and they give you enough condiments to go with the utensils. I came here yesterday 6/16/2020 - ordered the pupusas that are on sale on Monday and I think it's Thursday's. I spent approximately $7. The pupusas were def a lot smaller and they were too salty. I was not able to finish my food. I don't know if I would give this place a third try - plus they told me 25 minutes for my order to be ready which seemed like a long time in my opinion. This is the second time I have ordered for delivery and I have never been to actual physical location. The food has been really good on both occasions. This time I ordered caldo de res, papa nachos (which are delicious!), pupusas, tacos de asada and empanadas de leche. I love how it's a mixture of Salvadoran- Mexican food!
