I've been a regular for a few years. I'll say about 2 years, the food has slightly went down hill. Specifically, the pizza. The crust isn't as fluffy, the toppings are lighter and the bread tends to be overcooked. It's just not a hearty slice like it use to be. After swearing off Mama Lisa a short while back they are once again in my good graces. Whether you go in for pick up or order delivery the staff is always friendly and delivery always comes ahead of the time they give you. Literally no sauce on the pie. Grandma slices were not good and the slices lacked sauce/plum tomatoes. The rice ball had a weird flavor. The meat was watery and peas were hard and chalky. Went in for takeout on my lunch break. Got a slice of buffalo chicken. Quite possibly the worst buffalo chicken slice I've ever had. 7$ for a burnt slice of chicken doused in hot sauce. Color was bright red not orange knew it wasn't gonna be good. Friends I was with had regular slices and no one had a good experience. Big fan of their pizza. This is a cute place, it's a fast pizza spot if you want- or a sit down for lunch/ dinner if you want. They have a lot of choices including desserts I ordered a buffalo slice to eat in at their "fast" pizza spot, their plain grandma slices are also ... kind of amazing. Definitely a fan, and come here as often as I can, but i do understand that their smaller pizza restaurant is still under the same ownership, which is why I'm not giving it a 5/5. The actual restaurant next to the 7-11 is AH-MAZING. I love everything about it. The atmosphere, the people, THE FOOD! They even have specials like chicken night on Thursdays, and for like $15 you get an amazing dish, with soup or salad, a desert, and coffee or tea.... you really can not beat it. Anyways, point is they should really shut down the pizzeria in the shopping center down the block, and just focus on the main restaurant. We have been going to Mama Lisa restaurant since they where in the small shopping center. Best ala vodka sauce. The family special is our favorite. My kids where having problems in Italian and understanding what their new teacher was asking and what Google translator was suggested where two different words. The kids suggested we go visit Gaetano and Moses for help. They where so helpful the kids got a 90 on their test. Gracias! read more

I've only buy pizza and order food to go. But pizza is great and so are the pasta dinners.

The food is good and the servings are plentiful. It would be nice if they had some options for traditional American food. Service is slow paced which was fine for us because we weren't in any hurry. The wait staff is so young and inexperienced. They need a good dining room manager. It seemed completely unsupervised. Upon leaving the deserts at the counter looked so good. So I gave in and got a small price of cake. Maybe 1 1/2 inch by 4 inches. I nearly changed my mind when he said it was $5.95. 15 minutes later when I got to my hotel I tried it and it was dried out from being so old. Not hardly edible so I didn't. You'd think if you are so proud of your deserts to charge that much you'd sell it fresh. read more

Used to love the Alfredo pasta from here after the pandemic started I stopped ordering for a few months when I order again the pasta Alfredo portion size was like half that was before and the sauce taste like milk it doesn't taste like salt or cheese it's a milk sauce. So we went tonite for dinner at 6:30pm. We walked in and were kind of greeted by A.C. He asked us if we made a reservation and we responded no. There were 30 ppl in the entire restaurant! He proceeded to tell us that from now on we had to make a reservation if we wanted to eat there. Im sure the owner would want to smack this guy if he heard how he spoke to people. I came to visit Long Island with a friend of mine. We had just finished driving from a long road trip & we walked in just as they were closing. The guys were kind enough to let us put in an order. We got a simple Sicilian pie (just cheese). Let me tell you something that was the best! I appreciate simple ingredients that allow the flavor to shine through. With 2 drinks it was about $20 - amazingly great price for so much food!!! The pie was fresh it was crispy, light, & refreshing. The sauce complimented everything- it didn't saturate the dough, it was just the perfect compliment. Anything else on this, for me, would have been overkill. I loved their pizza so much that I brought it home to my husband in Florida. He loved it & it traveled over 1,200 miles down the East Coast to get into his belly. This will be my first stop anytime I come back to Long Island. I'm hooked. Totally recommend it. Staff is super friendly, very personable & kept the conversation rolling while we were waiting for the pizza to get made. read more

Unacceptable is the only way I can describe our catering experience.. Truly a disappointing way to kick off our Christmas. We ordered over a month in advance, in fact we were the second order placed for Christmas Eve and therefore were assured it would be ready for 5:00 pm. Upon arrival, we were told that it wouldn't be ready for about another 30 minutes. Since we were heading to West Islip, they offered to deliver as soon as the order was done.... 6:00 pm passes, no food.... 6:30 we call and told the driver should be there... And finally at 7:15 our dinner arrives. Nothing like having a household of people for the holiday waiting patiently to eat dinner. Most of the food was in good shape despite the greasy, slimy, and inedible tray of calamari that we needed to throw out (picture attached). The atmosphere was inviting and the lighting was perfect to set the evening rush. Now the food speaks for itself! Perfect crust on the pizza with the right amount of sauce and cheese. Everything looked fresh as I waited for my slices and there is TV to watch if you like. A small detail that wasn't overlooked was the refrigerators that housed the drinks were set to cold!
