Thats it -- the last straw. I'll never patronize this establishment again. The last few times my wife wanted Italian and ordered from Mama Lisa I got stuck with a a terrible Granny Pie as well as poor Hero's. The Granny Pie was horrendous and hard with way too wide of a crust without sauce on it. Last night was the third time I received a Hero with bread so overly toasted it was inedible. When ordering my wife specifically advised them that the last two times we received hero's that the bread was either very stale or way overly toasted it could not be chewed upon. They stated to my wife that they always have fresh bread (Really) ? Anyway, so we bring the hero's home and for the third time the bread was ruined and inedible. take a look at how much bread was way to hard to eat -- that's about 60% of the bread of the hero. Straight to the garbage, just like the prior two times I ordered a hero. I don't know what their deal is over there, but how could they not know how to properly toast bread if indeed the bread is actually fresh to begin with. Doesn't matter to me or my family anymore -- No more Mama Lisa. What really aggravates me more than anything else is that my wife specifically mentioned this issue to them and they did it again. Mama Lisa is just amazing! Great food, great prices, great service! Our favorites- Contadina Salad with Grilled Chicken. It's a HUGE salad, great flavors and a delicious dressing. The chicken is very tender and extremely flavorful. My husband always orders the Baked Combo #2 and is pleased every single time. It usually is enough for dinner and lunch the next day! Delicious sauce. We also enjoy the pizza and rice balls for take-out. The only thing we had here that we weren't thrilled about was the alfredo sauce- too thick and not too much flavor. Literally everything else we've had or our dining companions have had here has been amazing!!! We always tell people about it and bring friends. We went for Pasta night once, such a huge meal for a small price, and delicious!!! You really need to go, it's worth it. I went with family after a memorial service, the food was excellent. Service was extremely polite, and attentive. They couldn't have done more for our very large group. And the next day my sister realized she lost an earring, not only did they have it , they kindly mailed it , since we live far away. And wouldn't accept reimbursement for postage. Decided to go back to mama Lisa's and was happy that our experience was extremely satisfying once again. We went for a celebration and was back to being treated superbly by all. AC was very attentive and everything was amazing. He made us feel like it was his pleasure that we were there. Was here in Feb of 2014 and the food was great as were the prices. Went back yesterday 1/11/15 and something has changed. The food was almost inedible. No flavor at all, and the quality of the ingredients was poor at best. In addition, the prices seem to have gone up. The service however was first rate. The server was prompt, attentive, and a pleasure. Something has definitely changed in the kitchen since February. We wont be going back. read more

Went here because of their excellent Google reviews. I was very disappointed. The Google reviews must be a couple hundred friends of their's. The pizza crust was wet and paperthin to the point where a slice couldn't hold it's shape when I folded it over and tried to eat it. It just flopped over and had to be slurped in order to eat. Heard such amazing things about this restaurant decided to go check it out for ourselves. We went last week for our anniversary and had an amazing meal. Started with the fried calamari which was out of this world and for dinner got the chicken toscana and my boyfriend had the veal saltimbocca which were both amazing. The only problem I had was with the service, our waitress was annoying and would lean over my boyfriend with her shirt completely unbuttoned and was making me uncomfortable if I wanted service like that I would have went to hooters for half price wings, not sure if we will return. read more

I threw it out as well. ~ Bruschetta Garlic Bread - was actually quite tasty. ~ Pasta Al Forno Combo #1 - was delicious. ~ House Salad - is nothing special. ~ Caesar Salad - is delicious. This restaurant is NEVER a disappointment. Come here at least 1-2X a month with the whole family and we are always so happy. Not only is the food phenomenal but the service is so wonderful. We had a terrible night at this place. A bus boy dropped a full tray of glasses right behind my two years old son. My son got so scared he cried hysterically. Water spilled everywhere on our table and on our clothes. A team of people came quickly to clean up. But no manager showed up to say sorry or address this issue. This restaurant is top notch! Everything including the salad was fresh and delicious! We had the Lobster Ravioli in a cream sauce with crumbled calamari. Unbelievably delicious! The sauce is amazing. We also has the chicken cutlet parmigiana which I only order in Branchinellis as I have tried so many and that's my favorite. This was just as delicious if not better. The chicken was so soft and fresh. We also had the penne pasta Sorento style. This has baked mozzarella cheese on top. Another delicious dish. I also liked one of the drinks on the drink menu which was a mix of club soda, lime juice, grey goose vodka and St.Martin. Very refreshing and not sweet. Literally the worst food I've ever gotten. Pizza was undercooked, pasta was OVERCOOKED, and the meatballs were completely tasteless and gross. When I called to ask for my money back the manager was snappy, told me I needed to go threw the app I ordered from. Fine. I contact ChowNow and they contact this shitty restaurant and who ever NINO is denied my refund even though on the phone he told me what I needed to do to get refunded. Best Italian on the eastern island. Mamma Lisa's is our go to for a fine meal excellent service and always delish food. Never ever had anything bad there. The New restaurant is lovely, I like the decor and its designed to keep noise down. Desserts are to die for, and the chicken cutlets no matter how they are prepared are always flavorful and tender, no deep fried brinks with sauce on them here, each dish is prepared from scratch and you can tell. BEST SERVICE AROUND. Mama Lisa's has amazing Sicilian pizza that is cooked just right, and only requires two slices to satisfy your hunger. Not to mention, I find myself eating their mouth-watering pepperoni pinwheels constantly! On the restaurant side, holding back from the fresh bread is hard enough but of course, you must save room for their exquisite menu. I would most certainly suggest the penne a la vodka if you seek pure happiness and joy. I've been here like twice and the first time was just because it was mad close to my house and I was realllly feeling some chicken fettuccine alfredo. It was that crack and that's all you need to know about the food and it was why I returned the second time and will go continuously until death. Me and my family have been dining's at mama Lisa's since they we're at there old location down the road, I wanna say it's been at-least 15 years and they still never disappoint when it comes to their dishes and their hospitality toward good service.. you can tell they take pride in their food because the place is always packed.. But My only negative is that I can't recommend anything because everything is absolutely delicious... but I highly suggest ordering their stuff mushrooms... it's a must for me every time I'm there, if you are a mushroom lover like me... they won't disappoint !!!! The larger restaurant next to 7-11 is outstanding. It is a very nice restaurant with ample parking and fair pricing. My wife and I have gone here a few times and the bill with tip was never more than $80. This includes 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, a bottle of wine and 2 cups of coffee. Food was delicious every time for both of us. My favorite dish is veal scaloppine with brown sauce. Waitresses are friendly and good at their jobs. Terrific selection of delicious Italian dishes most available as gluten free ,which are just as delectable. They just expanded their gluten free deserts. Tried the carrot cupcake. My dining experience was awful. This place is.completely overrated, relying on its old reputation. Heres my ruined my baby shower dinner. First off I ordered salad and ravioli, and my guest ordered a lasagna. The salads were a absolute mess, mishapped, oddly cut vegetables. Our pasta sauces tasted liked aluminum, and the pastas were way overrcooked, flopping and tearing before getting in the mouth. My shirt was ruined, and now I understand why the tables were dirty and the dinner was so cheap. Beware this overrated crap. They make a ok pizza but im sorry theres better.
