My husband brought me here for my birthday and it was the first time visiting. It was amazing from first to last course. We started with the hot antipasto - terrific!! I had the seafood combo with half a lobster in Marinara. Amazing!! My husband had the veal/chicken parmagiana combo with a meatball and sausage, which he loved. On a Friday night the parking lot is packed (even with a new add on parking lot), the service is always amazing, everyone is always friendly and quick to serve. The food is good! On a busy night it can be tough, but my favorite time to go or order out is on a weeknight, when the crowd is a bit less. The pizzeria counter always has an amazing selection of speciality slice! I've been going to Mama Lisas since I was a child. Unfortunately things have not been the same since they moved into the larger building. The new place is beautiful but the food seems to just not be the same anymore. They have Decent pizza and decent food now. I love the Greek salads there. I use to love the salmon but I feel like it maybe frozen, which is disappointing since their is a awesome fresh fish market in town. Although I no longer eat meat, if I were to suggest a dish I would probably say go with the chicken Parm. read more

Sometimes Mama Lisas is really on point and then other times the cuts of chicken are an odd texture, almost chewy. Flavor is always good. The regular pizza is nothing special, very bland, we much prefer Carlos' close by. Service has always been good, very welcoming and helpful. I had lunch at Mama Lisa's because friends have raved about the food. Not my favorite location (area). I was kept it simple with a rice ball appetizer (which I can make myself very well and use it as a base to compare with those I order out) and I would not recommend them. They were small little rice only balls coated in bread crumbs and fried and tough. Served with a marinara sauce that was uncomplimentary. I went with a tossed salad after that and finished my visit. Definitely a fan, and come here as often as I can, but i do understand that their smaller pizza restaurant is still under the same ownership, which is why I'm not giving it a 5/5. The actual restaurant next to the 7-11 is AH-MAZING. I love everything about it. The atmosphere, the people, THE FOOD! They even have specials like chicken night on Thursdays, and for like $15 you get an amazing dish, with soup or salad, a desert, and coffee or tea.... you really can not beat it. Anyways, point is they should really shut down the pizzeria in the shopping center down the block, and just focus on the main restaurant. Pizzeria ristorante run by nice Italians that know how to cook. This place is always good and enjoyable. We usually order out. Their seafood platter / zuppa di pesce is really good and a very good portion. Sandwiches are delicious. We even had a couple of parties there. They do a good job and the owners are very attentive. I "was" a regular customer at Mama Lisa's and as of today, I will not be back. We would order 1-2 times a week, not anymore. We ordered 3 orders of wings, 4/20/20 in the middle of the COViD-19 pandemic, for my daughter's birthday. The wings were bloody. We called and this is what we were told, "Oh, I am sorry. I used to frequent them all the time at their old location down the road and since the move the service and hospitality has plummeted as well as the food. After waiting a ridiculously long time for a simple thing .. the food was cold. The manager was unapologetic and the workers acted as if I was a burden to them. The garlic knots were the size of a pebble. It's ridiculous that they expect to charge people such a high price for food that doesn't match that. Thats it -- the last straw. I'll never patronize this establishment again. The last few times my wife wanted Italian and ordered from Mama Lisa I got stuck with a a terrible Granny Pie as well as poor Hero's. The Granny Pie was horrendous and hard with way too wide of a crust without sauce on it. Last night was the third time I received a Hero with bread so overly toasted it was inedible. When ordering my wife specifically advised them that the last two times we received hero's that the bread was either very stale or way overly toasted it could not be chewed upon. They stated to my wife that they always have fresh bread (Really) ? Anyway, so we bring the hero's home and for the third time the bread was ruined and inedible. take a look at how much bread was way to hard to eat -- that's about 60% of the bread of the hero. Straight to the garbage, just like the prior two times I ordered a hero. I don't know what their deal is over there, but how could they not know how to properly toast bread if indeed the bread is actually fresh to begin with. Doesn't matter to me or my family anymore -- No more Mama Lisa. What really aggravates me more than anything else is that my wife specifically mentioned this issue to them and they did it again.
