We don't typically go further than Little Caesars when Pizza Night comes around, not because we hate ourselves or local spots, it's usually due to price point and a need for speed. Recently, the fast food pizza chain that we frequent has been less than consistent so we took a chance on a local spot with great reviews... And boy, we were rewarded! We got a Mama's Salad (garden salad) with Balsamic vinaigrette and a 12 inch Meat Lovers. Transparently, we both worried this wouldn't be enough while ordering, but we've got a picky eater (‍) and weren't ready to commit to the larger pie. We should have got the larger pie because it's absolutely that good. The 12 inch with a salad was perfect for us for dinner. We had a couple of pieces for leftovers, but truly - the leftovers are so good, I wish we had more! The pizza was stacked with toppings in the best way. I typically look for sauceless slices because some of the chain sauce is *not for me*, but not only was this impossible with this pie because the sauce was spread evenly, everywhere, but it didn't even matter. We are 1st time customers here and absolutely love what we ordered. The location was a little far from us but worth the drive. We ordered the meatball sub with fries and cheese pepperoni pizza. The pizza was 8.8/10 no flop, great crisp it was thin and flavorful, did the job correctly. Meatball sub absolutely mouthwatering with perfectly seasoned fries. Wow! This place is great! They have an intimate dining area and serve delicious pizza on what can only be described as top notch crust! Food: I had the meatballs and some pizza, my wife had salad garlic knots and a little pizza we shared. First the meatballs: what else can I say but they were delicious and tender and the sauce was a perfect complement to the meatballs. The pizza: The crust was excellent the sauce was very good and the toppings were quality, we ordered jalapeños and they were fresh and unlike any I have ever had on a pizza before. The garlic knots. Once again let me say Mama Maxies knows their dough! The salad: very good and the kind you would expect from a pizza parlor basic but very good The service: Sophia was our server. (Hopefully I spelled her name right). She is a gem of a person and just made us feel so welcome and she hits the perfect line of kind accommodating and not intrusive. I found out before we left this is her family's restaurant and I hope her dad and mom read this, because let me tell you both of them should be proud of this young lady! Found the newly opened Mama Maxie's Pizza shop in what used to be a different pizzeria. Staff was awesome. Host greeted us and answered some questions. I talked to the pizzaiolo who was friendly and told me about his pizza making background. He explained they make New York style and that he trained in Colorado and Chicago. Small dining area, very clean, enjoyed the construction, decoration and art for a simple neighborhood pizzeria. Ordered Fat Tire on draft and a large cheese pizza. Cheese pizza was a top 10% Vegas neighborhood slice! Was surprised! They make a fairly simple New York pie. Only mozzarella cheese which was amazing quality with a super long stretch, simple sauce using fresh basil and the crust was killer- great fermentation and stretched well, easy chew, pizza stays stiff upon grabbing a slice, didn't flop over but still easy to fold, just enough olive oil in the dough to give a perfect crisp crust! If you're near the Henderson area, grab a pie here and give it a try. These are the types of little shops that need recognition for good pizza! Overall a solid 4.5 for the pizza! We won a gift voucher for Mama's for 2 large pizzas, garlic knots and 20 wings. The food quality wasn't worth the $90 voucher. The pizza was super dry and had very little sauce on it that it's straight cheese and bread when you take a bite. The wings were good for flavor but we ordered mild and they were not mild. They were hot. I like hot but my family does not. Garlic knots were ok but the sauce is what we all liked the most out of the entire meal. There are other places with this quality of food for a cheaper price. The service was good nothing crazy good or bad. We will not be going here again for food. read more

Since his just needed to be topped & heated, it came out quickly. I was able to try a bit or two of his while waiting for ours --hot & cheesy! Our pizza was out pretty quickly & we dug right in!
