Great pizza and subs great prices friendly staff! My family has been going to this pizza joint for 28 years!

Traveling in the area and looking for a sandwich, I found this place on Yelp. I wish I could tell you how the food was. We drove to the location and parked in the front. There were no other cars in sight, but the restaurant was open. There's a sign right in front of the restaurant that parking is for the liquor store (next to it). We sat there for a few minutes and decided that the sign was written clearly, had been there a while and we weren't going to take chances. So we went somewhere else to eat. Bizarre. If there's another place to park, the restaurant should put a sign somewhere. Or maybe you're just supposed to know?? Also, we had intended to eat in. I still can't tell you whether there's any seating in the restaurant or if it is all takeout. What a waste of time. I don't want to give a two or one star review, because maybe the food is great and I missed something re: parking and indoor seating. I just want to warn non-locals on Yelp that if you come here, it's confusing as heck. read more

Cheesesteak i'm glad I opted for the special of a 12 inch because the steak sub is so skinny, it's about 2 1/2 fingers in width. The steak was flavorless that needed some seasoning. The bread was soft and good. Had a nice buttery flavor to it. All in all just an okay sub. Fries Fried, well, with a perfect golden color. Bland in flavor. Honey Mustard Wings Nice and hot. They wings were over fried, making some pieces, chewy or overcooked and dry. Surprising since they had such a nice golden color with a good crunch on the skin. Had a pleasant amount of sauce; sauce tastes like Ken's honey mustard. Service Courtesy and welcoming. Cheap eats with decent portions, just lacking in flavor. We got here right before close and the gentleman there couldn't have been nicer! The pizza was hot and fresh and so yummy! We got a spicy pizza who's name completely escapes me. If you're looking for a quick and easy wing spot, then look no further. The wings are priced very well for their size and taste pretty good. The owner and his wife are both courteous and friendly. The parking isn't that great, but you can park on the side of the building if you're afraid of getting hit. I eat here pretty frequently and feel full every time! read more

Store front doesn't look like much, but I was craving some good food late on a Saturday and I was not disappointed. I saw all the reviews about the pizza, but nothing for the other food, so I thought I'd do this. The subs were toasted nicely and had great flavor. The meatball and the fried shrimp were cooked perfectly and the potato wedges were on point as well. It hit the spot and helped to fulfill my appetite. My initial order got cancelled Bc there were no delivery drivers, but the gentleman in the store was respectful and hooked me up with a drink for my trouble. Come check it out. read more

For dinner, I used the "slice" app to order a vegetarian pizza to be delivered from Mama Mia's to my hotel. The pizza was really good; the ingredients were fresh and my pizza was still extremely hot once it was delivered, which tells me that my order was also as fresh as possible. The reason that this review is missing a star is because I wanted more sauce on the pizza (wish I had known that or I would have added it). Other than that, their prices are really affordable, pizza was hot, fresh, and the service was quick. I highly recommend this place. read more

Not so happy w this place lately. Meals and service aren't nearly what it was. My shrimp came out raw and waitress seemed annoyed when I told her. Like some how I shouldn't mention it and just shut up and eat it. I actually had to spit it out because was cold and raw I love sushi but not raw shrimp. Sorry little miss grump. We closed out after that because I'll never stay if I need to complain about something. The shrimp gondola that I always get wasn't nearly as good. I don't know what has happened to the definition "New York Style" but it's not at all what I remember from Brooklyn NYC Pizza. More like open face slice of bread pizza. First of all let me just say that I've been coming here for about 10+ years. The food was always reliably delicious, hot, and fresh. I have taken plenty of friends and family members here during that time and most seemed to enjoy their food. But what I received today was so disappointing that I can't even justify coming back. Ordered a pizza and a cheesesteak. The pizza was nothing like how it used to be. The cheese was falling right off and the pizza was soggy and way overloaded with sauce. The flavor was subpar and really disappointing too. But what did it for me was the cheesesteak I received. There must have been 5-6 slices of cold, I melted cheese my cheesesteak and it was made incredibly sloppily. You can tell that whoever made it, just didn't care one bit about even trying to do a good job. I couldn't even eat it and had to throw the whole thing away as it was mushy and soaked in condiments. It was average, and I think that's about the highest compliment I can offer. I ordered a medium pie with 3-toppings, and it was delivered quickly. At best it can be described as being on the same level as Papa John's. The crust was very similar, the toppings were fresh, but overall the sauce and cheese just lacked flavor. It was a fast delivery pizza that would probably satisfy a large party. With the pricing, it's also a very good deal for a delivery option in the BWI airport hotel area. read more

I would give 3 1/2 stars but it doesn't allow that. I got the cheese pizza and fries. The pizza has potential, it's not bad but it's not great. It definitely lacks flavor and seasoning and they should change the dough they use. Not a fan of the taste and texture. The fries were nice and golden but they were subpar. We keep on getting advertisements to this place through the mail and sometimes even on our doorstep. So I decided to try the place out. Ordered for delivery. 12 inch cheese steak sub with everything. An order of fries. 2 orders of wings. 1 hot and the other BBQ. 1 coke. Not even 20 minutes after I ordered, the food came! I wonder if the food was made to order or not... Got the food. The bottom of the brown bag was soaked in grease. I didn't mind greasy foods but the fact that when I carried the bag in the house, it ripped and all the food fell out! Cleaned most of it up, Ate a few clean stragglers of fries and threw the rest away. Fries seemed like they were cooked in old and overly used oil then microwaved. 2 orders of wings. The hot wings were your typical wings. Not great but not bad. I liked the BBQ wings because I love BBQ sauce. Many types of BBQ sauces. 12 inch cheese steak with everything. Stuffed with lots of meat. Which is always a plus for me. Some bites were very tasty and others were ok. 1 coke. It's coke. I love coke. The guy on the phone was friendly and quickt. It's better (and cheaper) than anything I've ever gotten at a pizza chain. I got the Spinach white pizza. The spinach is canned, but all the cheeses on it are fresh. The parking is terrible, so you're better off getting it delivered than picking it up. Edit: Their (advertised) free delivery evidently costs about $3.20, according to my math. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I'm new to the area and read a few reviews, so I decided to give them a try. I called a spoke to some guy and tried to order a calzone. He didn't speak english very well, so the order took a while, which was okay. He got confused, so I decided to just order a simple cheese pizza instead with extra sauce. So when I received my pizza it didn't have extra sauce on it. I called the establishment and spoke with the same individual. I told him the issue (there was no extra sauce) and he told me there was. I told him there wasn't. Then he told me there was. We went back and forth for about 15 minutes. He told me that there was nothing he could do because the driver left. That makes no sense!!! I said well there has to be something that you can do and he did there wasn't. So I asked for someone to deliver me sauce cups. He argued with me about that. I asked what happened to good customer service and he said that I got what I ordered, even though I told him I was looking right at my pizza! Then he finally agreed to give me one 6 once sauce cup. I asked him for two, that way I can have extra sauce for my pizza like I asked for. He went off again saying that my pizza already had extra sauce. He was indignant, like he was doing me some kind of favor! At the end, he acquiesced and said he would send two sauce cups and hung up on me. Honestly, I was shocked with how adamant he was about some freaking sauce! It is clear to me that customer service isn't important at all, they just want your money and provide crap service. I will never eat here again and would NEVER recommend anyone to patronize this establishment because if you do, you'll surely get some angry person on the phone. And if your order is wrong, you'll have to argue for like 20 minutes to get them to do something, if anything. It's pathetic. What a waste of my time. read more

That's right folks. A full 5 stars from me for this fine pizza establishment in Elkridge. I like good service. I really do & I appreciate it. They provided me with awesome service here. The manager/ owner was super pleasant & helpful. The pizza was bomb. We got the White Truffle which was a delicate ricotta/ spinach combo. Just fab. The standard pepperoni was great too. Nice think crust, just enough sauce & cheese. Good selection of high quality toppings. This is our go to place in the neighborhood for pizza. Try them, I think they're better than Venice, Pasta Blitz & Gateway. We picked up so I'm not sure if the delivery is as efficient and awesome. read more

I actually popped into this pizza shop while intending to pick up some drinks for a dinner. Pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail when they made me 4 16" pizzas. Fed a group of about 12 with that many pizzas. The cheese was a good quality, improvement could be made on their pepperoni choice, and the mushrooms were evidently from a can. None the less, the owner is doing a lot with a little in this small shop and I think he delivers consistent pizza quality. Will return to get wings or a sub. read more

We stay at the BWI Embassy Suites once or twice a year, unfortunately it doesn't have many restaurant options nearby. There are a few fast food / chain restaurants a mile or two down the road but we weren't really feeling them so I pulled up the Yelp ap saw Mama Mia's pizza was nearby and they also delivered SCORE! We ended up getting 2 of their delivery specials Large 3 Topping Pizza for $13.99. We got one Sausage, Pepperoni, & Olive and one w/ Mushrooms, Sausage, & Olives. They were both excellent. The dough was crispy and had a great chew to it. There was plenty of cheese and toppings.. I was a bit nervous because I read a previous review that had mentioned the sauce being sweet (not a fan of sweet sauce) Thankfully the sauce was really good and not sweet at all. We also go two slices of cake (chocolate & carrot) both were very good. The carrot was my favorite(very moist and the frosting was very creamy), but everyone else raved about the chocolate. It was a nice dense fudgy cake. All in all I was definitely impressed w/ Mama Mia and we will be ordering again when we're up that way read more
