What a wonderful experience we had tonight we were in town for the Estes Park holiday parade after Thanksgiving and we had reservations at Mama Rose's Holy cats... Alex, our waiter, was so attentive and took care of all of us. We had a table of 13. All of our dinners came out just perfect. The special tonight was a sirloin marsala, and oh my gosh, it was "melt in your mouth" delicious... I had an option of either pasta or roasted potatoes and vegetables and I thoroughly enjoyed the potatoes and vegetables. It was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. The lasagna was absolutely delicious and my hubby's Chicken Parmesan was also really good... What a nice little place tucked away right on the river....

My son enjoyed his Spaghetti Marinara, and the Caprese appetizer was decent. The shrimp and chicken in our other entrees were over cooked. Service was not great; our waitress was pretty much non-existent after we ordered. As one of the most expensive meals we had in Estes this week, I don't think we will be doing it again.

Enjoyed my Caesar salad & the grilled chicken - also shared the fried mozzarella which was good, and a couple bites of the breaded chicken which was also good! Fun ambience and friendly service too :)

The food was fresh and tasted delicious! Our server was great with a party of 8. The space was very old school Italian with white table clothes and everything. It was great for our group meal!

    A fantastic bottle of wine

Made reservations for dinner on a Saturday evening for 8 people. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server Lauren. She was friendly and very attentive. We ordered multiple dishes and all were amazing. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

We really enjoyed our experience here. They clearly label the menu with the vegan options which made everything so much easier and took the guess work out of looking at the menu. The pasta sauce was delicious and it was a great serving size. The ambiance is very Italian and family owned which I love. Our service was quick and the staff were helpful with questions.

I wish I would have read the yelp reviews before trying this place. My friend and I were in Estes Park and we just found a restaurant and decided to go in. We would not come back if ever in the area again. Upon entrance, the waitress sat us down in their patio area but the table was right behind the door trapping whoever sat there. We kindly asked her if we could move after realizing we wouldn't be able to get in and out like if we wanted to go to the bathroom. She immediately said yes, and proceeded to let us sit at the booth that was right next to it. We were admiring the cute outdoors and the view of the mountains and trees when a different waiter approached us and said we could not sit there. He was very abrupt and rude. We told him how we didn't sit there on our own that we had actually asked the waitress. He proceeded to walk away and continue to say "I don't know. I don't know. I just know you can't sit there. It's reserved." We were confused and just staring at each other when the initial waitress came up to us and apologized for the confusion and offered us a different table. We were finally situated when, unfortunately that waiter guy came up to us again because he was our assigned waiter. He took our order and was not nice at all. My friend and I debated leaving, but we also felt bad doing that. The food came, but the eggplant order was actually mistakenly brought with chicken. We felt bad even say anything, but we had to because we're vegetarian. The guy did not respond to us and just took the plate and walked away. Overall, this was a horrible experience, and it was all because of the male waiter. We were very bummed out that this was the experience especially because we were tourists, and potentially other tourists are being treated the same way. We would not recommend this location to anyone visiting Estes Park.

food was delicious, service was awesome, and the view with the Stream right there where we were eating.

Chicken Parmesan w.GF pasta; caprese in the background

This place is right on the river which makes it a spectacular location. A very nice server cleared a table for us with a view of the river. I really should have gotten the lunch special but opted for the chicken parm dinner bc I was trying to limit bread. GF spaghetti was mushy but the chicken was good. Caprese appetizer was good. Hubs had the old world spaghetti. The worst part of lunch was the smell. As the breeze blew, I kept smelling something like old mop water and/or garbage. Please consider removing the bussing station or maybe bring the dishes in more often. Once the dirty dish tub was brought in, the smell seemed to lessen. Seeing a server wring out a gray dishrag into a bucket of water (that remained on the station-maybe another source of the smell?) was unappealing. A spray bottle might be better IMO. The food was forgettable but the river was a beautiful setting. Server was attentive. A little on the pricey side, but in hindsight the lunch specials would have made this a reasonable lunch.

It was good. I got the three bake or whatever it's called and that was a mistake- but first off, I don't really like pesto, so there's that. It was super greasy though (yucky). My hubby got the eggplant parmigiana and he really enjoyed it. The appetizers were delicious. We would totally come back again, I'd just make better food decisions for myself

Bottom line - great pizza, I would pay $20+ for a pizza from them as a food truck, but over $5000 for what we got was excessive.

Google does…read morenot give the correct directions - when we followed them, we ended up in a random parking lot a block over. I recommend setting the GPS to the brewery rather than the truck. When we visited on Sunday after hiking at RMNP for the morning, there wasn't much of a crowd here. We ordered and the the food only took about 8 minutes to arrive. Meeker Margherita ($21) - Perfectly cooked crust in this pizza. The cornicione in particular is expertly risen and cooked, giving plenty of charred bubbles and the perfect chewiness. The undercarriage, while floppy, isn't soggy at all. It hold up very well to the ingredients on top. The crust is first slathered sparingly with tomato sauce. The sauce is reduced quite a bit and tastes almost like a concentrated tomato paste. They don't use a lot so it doesn't soak into the crust at all. On top, there's a couple of pieces of basil giving a very noticeably fresh aroma. There's plenty of melted mozzarella cheese, which seem to be of the pearl variety, mild tasting and stretchy. They apparently also drizzle some EVOO, although there's no particular peppery or fruity notes, or heck any real olive oil flavor at all. With how well all the other ingredients worked together, the olive oil is very disappointing. Still, it's a very well constructed pizza. (5/5) Panorama Peak ($23) - Again, this pizza has the perfect crust. Instead of tomato sauce, it's slathered with ricotta cheese, making the pizza very rich and creamy. More melted mozzarella on top of that for even more fatty richness, then pieces of proscuitto, chewy and salty. The meat isn't sliced that well so it's messy to eat. They then essentially cover the pizza with an arugula, tomato, and shaved parmesan salad. The arugula is super peppery and bitter, the tomatoes are fresh and sweet, and the parmesan adds more saltiness. The main sources of salt are the parmesan and the proscuitto. Neither are added in large enough quantities to make the pie overly salty. Mixed in the with the arugula are a couple of stems of cilantro for some reason. Nothing on the menu actually uses cilantro so I'm a bit confused where it comes from. It's essentially a salad on pizza dough so everything falls off the crust very easily making it messy to eat. (4/5) I'm very impressed with the food served at Mangia Mangia. I didn't expect to find such great pizza in a small touristy mountain town. I'll be back next time I'm in the area!
