This place was terrible. From the second we tried to get a table to the moment we left. There was something going on where they were so disorganized trying to seat us and the party in front of us. They forgot our silverware, the artichoke dip was quite runny, the slop on the elk burger tasted cheap, the California wrap taste old, and they up charge for everything. Want horseradish? $2. Want sweet potato fries instead of regular? $3. Our server either had too many tables or just isn't good at it.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday. We were seated promptly and advised of a special of the day. I must say that the side patio sitting area needs some kind of beautification because all you see is a chain link fence. The service was a bit slow. No drink refills were offered unless I requested. My Cobb salad was great until I bit into one of the tomatoes. It was spoiled. When I looked at the rest of my tomatoes I saw another shriveled discolored one that would mean that it was spoiled as well. The rest of the salad seemed fresh. The rest of the people in my group liked their food.

After some time in beautiful RMNP, we stopped here around 6:30 for dinner. Surprisingly, we were able to secure a table on a weekend night! We got lucky with a free parking spot too, practically around the corner. Atmosphere was pleasant, not too loud or crowded. Service was a tad slow throughout the evening but also polite. Food didn't take too long. They have this terrific lavender mule that I liked so much I jumped online the next day and ordered lavender syrup from a company in Oregon to attempt to duplicate at home. Mules are one of my favorite cocktails, and I love unique variations like this one. Our group selected a wide variety of dinner items: curried chicken salad sandwich, bacon cheeseburger served on brioche, brisket Mac and cheese, mahi tacos, and southwest chicken wrap. Aside from the cranberries in the chicken salad, (it was taken home and enjoyed the next day by another diner!) everyone liked their meals. Prices are definitely steep, like all restaurants nowadays, but not over the top. We would happily return to Claire's in the future.

Cute spot in esyes park. Came in after a long day of hiking. I had the steak au jois sandwhich. It was a great sandwhich. The onion rings were large and cooked perfectly. The service was also quick and attentive.

Food was excellent, the service was great and the patio was perfect for our late lunch. Location is great if you need a bite between shopping on the strip!

Meatloaf was a round thick patty. Seemed like all lean meat, not soft like a meatloaf. The gravy was thick but not in a good way , tasted like cornstarch thickener in it . Not horrible, just blah.... Restaurant favorites seemed to be hamburgers lots of people had those , I am just not the type to eat hamburgers for dinner in a restaurant. Maybe I can try that next time. Overall a good restaurant though

Great service & very yummy food. We stopped in today on a day trip to Estes to have a few drinks sit outside & enjoy the day. Their outdoor porch seating is perfectly shaded and a nice place to relax converse and enjoy good company. We shared regular fries & sweet potato fries had as few drinks & shared the full size delicious meatloaf. I would definitely come back.

Everything about this place is wonderful. From the host to our server to other servers... everyone here is pleasant and welcoming. They have 2 for 1 mimosas for $10 that our server pointed out, which we appreciated. The soup was very good (I'm a French onion soup snob). We are from Texas and the brisket was VERY good. The ranch for the crispy fries was freshly made (the good ranch!). I wish we had a Claire's in Texas!

Casual dining ambiance indoor and out with excellent dining choices, and some unique dishes. I especially liked the honey glazed smoked salmon on polenta served with crispy Brussels and roasted golden beets with a small salad. Good cocktails too. It's no wonder they've been in business since 92! Good service too.

Claire's Restaurant was just what we were looking for while visiting Estes Park. It was a local café but ended up being better than expected. We ate outside because the weather was gorgeous. They don't usually allow outside dining but made an exception. The curry chicken salad sandwich was flavorful and tasty. The pita was soft and nice but a bit too much bread for me so I just had the chicken salad. I also had two Bacon Bloody Mary's, which where fabulous...probably why I had no room for the bread, haha. The french fries were dipped and incredibly good. I highly recommend Claire's.

BRUNCH!! Fabulous, delicious Eggs Benedict! Two Mimosas for the price of one. Enjoyed every bite. The breakfast potatoes were not enjoyable. Cut very small and really over-done and kinda greasy. The service was great. Waitress was attentive and anticipating needs. We sat on the porch and it was delightful. Nice place we would go again.

We're in town for RMNP for a couple of days and came here for lunch on day 1. Inside is cute, nothing special and they have a nice patio area. Our server Sophia was friendly and attentive but not overly so - the right amount of attention. I had to try their French onion soup - if it's on a menu, I have to partake. It was nice that I could have it with my Prime melt instead of fries or chips for a reasonable upcharge. The soup was really good but unusual in that it had rosemary in it. The first few bites I really liked but then the rosemary was a bit much. The Prime melt was delicious- tender with grilled onions and a horseradish aioli and the bun was amazing- really crunchy outside and soft inside with a great flavor. My boyfriend had the bacon burger with chips, which he liked except he said the bun was really ordinary and should have been on a brioche or something.

We were in town for a wedding and were told to check out Claire's for brunch. This place did not disappoint. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the prices were very reasonable. In addition to the pictured food items, my husband ordered a bacon bloody Mary, which was fantastic! And I got the Irish coffee. Would definitely recommend checking this place out for brunch

Ask the Community - Claire's Restaurant and Bar

I'm considering eating here for brunch in October for my wedding day (ceremony is at sunrise). It's going to be a very casual wedding with only about 10-15 guest plus myself and the groom. Would you consider coming here for brunch?

I would get a reservation if they take them. This place is usually busy during the weekend most of the year. The food is good and so is the service.

    Is Claire's dog friendly?

No. Not even on their patio. :(

During the…read moreCOVID pandemic, we visited often while I was working remotely because they had implemented appropriate measures early on. Today (June 2024), that's obviously is not an issue, but it meant a lot that they would work so hard to stay open during such a challenging time for community recreation centers. I have only spent time at the leisure pool, so I can't speak directly to the rest of the facilities. The leisure pool is excellent. Both the water and the pool deck are warm, which is a great feature for young ones. The family locker rooms are clean and there are 3 private shower rooms for young children. The leisure pool has a small slide for children under 4, water cannons, waterfall buckets, a lazy river, a water slide, and a hot tub. We have been able to visit both as guests of a local resident and as non-residents. Obviously the non-resident day pass is more expensive, but I would say it's reasonable, especially for a place where kids can easily spend 2-4 hours and get a nice warm shower.

First thing after they opened on a Monday, I came in to PAY for a shower and was greeted by a…read more"resting bitch face" front-desk person. After PAYING and given directions to the men's locker room, the following brief exchange occurred. M = me; RBF = "resting bitch face" front-desk person M: "Do you have family showers as well?" RBF: "Ugh... There are shower stalls with curtains in there [the men's locker room] for privacy. Family showers are only for our guests." (replied with an annoyance and attitude; the built-in "resting bitch face" didn't help) M: "So you do have them [family showers]?" RBF: "Yes..." (a reluctant response, again with attitude) OK, a few points on that, and I'm about to apply some "logic" so it may not be comprehendible to these numbskulls: 1. Apparently, the policy here is that a single person entering the facility is strictly forbidden from inquiring about any family-related offerings, because the individual is automatically assumed to not have a family who can be brought in the next time. Kind of judgy, no? I thought Colorado fervently supported a little something called "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion"--in which no one should be at first classified or treated based on how they looked. 2. It was probably just an unfortunate/unintentional slip that RBF affirmed the family showers for true "guests" (implying I wasn't one). However, the following rebuttal would be to teach RBF that she should really learn to STFU first and think carefully, then speaking. So, if it was acceptable for you to degrade people paying for showers not as guests, then correspondingly it would also be acceptable for me to personally consider you, RBF, as deserving to be harshly slapped every time you blurbed out something idiotic. With MY BELIEF in mind, everyone, you could come in and confront this moron on early Monday mornings. 3. I didn't pay $1, $2 (like at the Windsor Community Recreation Center) or even $4. I paid 6 damn dollars just to take a shower, so I'd be choosing whichever fucking shower I wanted, as long as I didn't start using any other features of the facility. Also, no families were there at that time (and, in fact, at many other centers around the country I'd visited, even when families were present I could just use the family rooms without the staff getting their panties in a bunch like RBF here). And what if somebody actually needed even more privacy? It could be that guest was inflicted with some kind of extreme "social anxiety disorder" (or something similar as how those lazy, victim-mindset bullshitters claimed nowadays). 4. Who kept hiring these entitled, disrespectful turds and never training them on proper customer service? Remember that I, A PAYING CUSTOMER, was THE REASON YOU HAD A JOB. In this case, it also meant I was a "guest," stupid. It wasn't like I randomly walked in off of the street and begged to use your showers for free. 5. And a final point: did these pompous Estes Valley Community Center retards think that theirs was the only, unique one in all of America? Because if that was the case, you could be standing right there, hurling insults and making fun of my penis while I showered, and I'd simply accept it. But you're not--I know because it's not like (as stated) I haven't taken showed at numerous community centers across the country or anything. Now, all that gracious smart knowledge and reasoning wouldn't have needed if the brief exchange had gone like this: FF = friendly face front desk person M: "Do you have family showers as well?" FF: "Yes, and those are reserved for arriving families only. But thank you for choosing to use our facility today." (normal, friendly response) M: "Sounds good."
