We decided to try Antlers Rooftop Tavern because we were excited about the rooftop views. Our server, Eren, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of throughout our visit. There were a couple of mix-ups with our order, including Mezcal which has a very distinct taste accidentally being added to my margarita, and some incorrect side dishes but the staff handled everything quickly and professionally. Since the restaurant had only recently reopened with a new menu, the mistakes were understandable. I ordered the Smashburger with fries, and my friend had the chicken fajita sandwich with a salad. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable for the area. The rooftop offers beautiful views of Estes Park and is conveniently located right in the shopping district. The only downside was the orange barrier coverings around parts of the rooftop while renovations were being completed. They blocked some of the views and took away a bit of the ambiance. Once those renovations are finished, this will be an even better spot. Great food, attentive service, and a fantastic location, I would definitely visit again once the renovations are completed. read more

TLDR: There was a large piece of plastic and a bone from the meat in my food. Service: Me and my friend were really excited for this place but the food was extremely mid. We sat down and about 10 minutes later, a couple sat behind us and our waitress visited and brought water to their table first instead of ours. In addition, another couple behind us was not seen by any waiter/waitress and had to ask a worker (who might have been an assistant manager? Although, not clear what his position was) if they can order with him. Overall service felt scattered, a bit slow overall, and unprofessional. Food: I ordered the tex mex bowl with barbacoa. It tasted as expected, nothing spectacular. However, there was a massive piece of plastic in my food. I let the waitress know and she apologized on behalf of the kitchen. I kept the meal because I hate waste and I didn't see any other plastic pieces in the food. Right after I found the plastic, I also discovered a bone in the meat. It was big enough to hurt a tooth if I had bit down on it but thankfully I spit it out before I chewed my food completely. While a bone might be normal to find in meat, I was certainly unhappy that now two objects were in this food. I was never comped for my meal and the manager never visited my table to apologize. I only write reviews if I had a fantastic experience or when I feel the need to warn others about the restaurant. I recommend choosing another restaurant before choosing this one if you prefer quality food and service. read more

The views are pretty from the rooftop/patio. Our server Eren was super friendly. The bar messed up one of our drinks but Eren had them fix it for us! I got a burger and salad - their other food looked good as well. Not a bad place to stop for lunch or dinner if you're in the area. read more

The food was great! It was my first time having an elk burger and it was very juicy and the fries were good too. It was a quaint ambience with a good view. The service started off good but my server stopped checking on me at some point. I don't know if she took a break or not- usually servers would say in the past if they were. So I wasn't helped for a long time and was waiting until another server (he might've been the manager) noticed and asked if I wanted a drink refill, my check and a box. I ordered a salad as my side and didn't like the dressing, it was very gloppy and I would have preferred balsamic and olive oil. Good service, great food, and even better views. This place is located on the third floor of a shopping center but don't let that throw you off. I really enjoyed dinning in the fresh air. We ordered smash burgers and buffalo wings along with some local beer. The buffalo wings were crunchy and could use a bit more sauce but still delicious. The burgers were nice and juicy. My sister and I were driving through Estes Park on our way to Rocky Mountain National Park and decided to stop for lunch. We liked the name of this restaurant but were concerned about the fact that it only has 3.4 stars. We decided to try it anyway and were pleasantly surprised at how good this restaurant is! It definitely deserves more than 3.4 stars. I had the chicken Mac and cheese and my sister had the fiesta flatbread and both were fabulous. They have an amazing Whisky selection and I was happy to see that they had some great local beers. It is clean and well decorated and the staff was attentive. Absolutely amazing all around! The Mac and cheese and that creamy gooey sauce and the OKC burger was fire! The martinis we had were well balanced. You know it's is good martini when you get a buzz but no bite from the alcohol, smooth and silky! Kudos to Tashi for her impeccable service and friendliness! For starters we really wanted to like this place. The pictures are deceptive. When we first got there we stood at the hostess stand. There was kitchen staff and servers you look at us standing there. It took my boyfriend going over there to ask if they were open, for us to be seated. After that we sat at the bar, for another 5 minutes with no one asking our drink order. Mind you there were 3 other tables and about 2/3 servers working (the owner, I'm assuming was there as well eating and at times, while eating, serving drinks). There was no sense that this place was a restaurant felt like it was my house, where I needed to serve myself. The food was okay, wasn't bad just not worth the price. Save your money and go somewhere else! Service is horrible and the owner is serving drinks and food while he himself was eating! read more

Both my wife and I had the Fish Sandwich for lunch, less than expected. The Fish was a square of frozen less than quality fish, if I wanted something that McDonalds wouldn't serve I would have gone to a fast food restaurant. It is a mediocre tourist trap joint over all. The food was Chilis quality at premium prices. I had the bison smash burger for 20 bucks. The meat was bland and dry. I went during a fairly slow time and the service was slow and unfriendly. They are not even trying and seem kind of annoyed you are there. Im guessing not alot of the premium prices they charge go towards paying their workers well or else they wouldnt clearly hate their jobs. What began as a nice night out with my brother and friends, turned into a "we should've went somewhere else." As we arrived at our table, (I am assuming) the manager gave some stern advice to the host right in front of us. After being sat, the nice ambience quickly tanked when loud pop music began playing. The tables were small and wobbly, and the food was no better than mid. The server greeted another table who sat after us, and then came to us. While taking my order, the host interrupted me to ask the server if she or another employee wants another table. The server did the best she could, but I couldn't help but notice there was a clear disconnect between management and employees. My party got seated indoors but a member of my party said the view was nothing special anyway, just nearby rooftops. We could hear barking dogs/a possible dog fight happening on the patio. The indoor seating area felt like an employee break room at best - just white walls with stock photos of ingredients like cheese and onions hung on them and a window to the host stand near our table. At least it was quiet... until the room filled up and the music got turned up to the point where our table was unable to hold a conversation. The Antler Dip was $22 for about 1 1/4 cups of cheese dip and some bagged tortilla chips. I ordered the elk smashburger and was startled by its appearance (and taste) - two sad, gray, flavorless, flabby thin patties with a plastic-looking bit of half-melted white cheese covering a small portion of the top patty, a tiny little smear of sauce on a bun, and lettuce/tomatoes/onions on the side. Two others in my party also got similar sad gray burgers that gave me flashbacks to my elementary school cafeteria. Nothing that our party of six got looked good and no one said anything tasted good. The fries that came with my burger looked okay, but they were somehow chewy. They didn't seem undercooked, they were just oddly dense and gross. The only restroom available was a single-stall mall bathroom outside of the restaurant that you need a code to get into and it somehow still isn't clean. The only thing nice I can say about this place is that our server was kind. She couldn't answer questions about the food and after food was served we were forgotten (we had to find someone to give us the check) but she seemed perfectly nice. Good food and atmosphere! I tried to order a mocktail as I don't drink and specifically clarified with the server that I wanted a mocktail. I got my drink and couldn't taste any alcohol but then started feeling weird. Turns out it wasn't a mocktail and was fully alcoholic. This place might just be one of the worst establishments i have ever stepped foot in west of the Mississippi. Right as we got there the servers were frantically running around in a very disorganized manner. Once we were sat we were asked what we would like to drink. The servers then proceeded to list off beers they didn't have which then resorted to just getting a diet coke. Simple one would think but NO. They brought me regular coke. Im thinking no big deal things happen. Then it just got worse. We order some honey bbq wings as an appetizer. They came out quick but somehow happened to be ice cold. Now we are getting worried. We then order a buffalo chicken pizza and burger. The buffalo chicken pizza was horrendous and didn't taste even similar to buffalo chicken. Pizza dough was not cooked and the sauce was almost straight vinegar. My burger on the other hand was decent but soon to realize that my stomach did not agree. My girlfriend and I felt terrible for a solid hour and half after eating. Please do not come here an I hope the FDA comes to check the kitchen soon. read more
