This review is based on the ambiance and the food. The food here is Indian Mexican food. The dishes were their spin on Mexican food with Indian ingredients. One of the lesser options. The atmosphere looked like they bought random knick knacks from a garage sale. The chairs were janky and felt loose. Their ice cream sundae is a single (melted) scoop of ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. Subpar describes this place. I'll be eating elsewhere. There are much better choices in the area if you're craving Mexican. This however doesn't rank as one of them. They call it "Mexican Remixed." read more

Mama Tigre's is a mix between Mexican and Indian food. I love this place! They have plenty of options whether you want tradition Mexican or traditional Indian. The service is always prompt and the servers are helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming, not too loud and the offer both indoor and our door seating. I do not understand all of the hype. We've tried to give this place a chance a couple times and have had bad experiences. It is so loud you can't have aconversation and the service lags, even at the bar. The quality of the food is not good. The Drinks are pre-made and sugary. It was the anniversary for my parents. I wanted to take them to a nice place to celebrate. My mom is a very pick eater and my dad is a very frugal eater. So it is very difficult to find a place that satisfies both needs. That's when I stumbled upon Mama Tigre. Not only is it an indian restaurant which appeals to my mothers interest but it's prices did not seem to obscurely expensive. It was the perfect match! We decided to check out this restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant we saw a lot of creatives designs and patterns along the wall. There was this one wall with this floral skeleton face. I can see some people liking it such as my dad. However I did not like it. It creeped me out. Looked as if it was staring at my soul and I couldn't imagine myself eating a meal while staring at that art work. I requested to sit not in that area. Overall service was very good. The waiter and listened to my request to be seated away from the scary skeleton monster. We had changed our order and they were very flexible to that. They constantly came to our table to ask us if we needed a refill on the chips. Although they are free it is something I do pay attention to in any business. I really did appreciate it. And finally when they saw us taking selfies they offered to take a picture for us. I give the service a 9/10. The menu looked very unique as it was a mexican indian fusion restaurant. I had never been to a mix like this so I was excited. We started our night off with Queso Masala and Tikka wings. The queso was really good. The cheese part atleast. I was not a fan of the masala with the cheese. I wished that I had just gotten the regular cheese. The tikka masala wings were not bad. But they were not amazing either. Such seemed average. I probably wouldn't order it again. As for main meals, we got the masala enchiladas, cauliflower tacos, and tikka fajitas.I thought the masala enchiladas were alright. The spicy cheese sauce was very good as it has so much flavor. The chicken inside the enchiladas was not the best. I am also not the biggest fan of ground meat so maybe I am biased but I wish there was more flavor. I didnt also like the texture. The cauliflower has the right about of flavor and they were amazing. The tikka fajitas were BANGER. So delicious and warm, there were flavors with each bite. It was also a lot of food. Overall I would rate this a 7/10. The appetizers were average. I only enjoyed 2/3 of the entrees. That being said I definitely would come here again. The service was splendid and the menu is very unique. I definitely would want to try something different. I am grateful for this experience. Through eating this food I felt like I had fused my Indian roots with the hispanic food that had entered my system. What an incredible blend of two amazing cultures and cuisines, helpful staff, and ample seating and decor to make a seemingly average day much better. My kudos to Chef Renu and the team! Mama Tigre quickly became a favorite, craveable restaurant for us. The food is inventive and absolutely delicious. Mexican/Indian fusion might sound odd, but I promise you it works beautifully. I've been several times, every dish I've tried has been fabulous. The servers are wonderful, they use a card system that lets them know when you want them and when you'd prefer to be left to enjoy your meal. Rarely do they need to rely on that though to fill your drink etc. Decor is also very nice. Drinks have a good pour. The only downside here is no reservations and long wait times. Mama Tigre is such a fun and yummy place! They've done such a great job of mixing Mexican and Indian cuisines. I wish I could visit more often! I enjoy spicy things and love the Queso Masala. It's so good, and I wish it was served in larger portions along with more Masala. The Tikka Wings are also good and are not super spicy. They make a good small dish if you're not looking for a large meal. I've tried the Carne Asada, Chicken, and Carnitas Tacos (I wouldn't be truthful to my headline if I didn't try some of the basics.) I almost prefer the Chicken Tikka Tacos because they're served on taco-sized Naan bread which is just *a chefs kiss.* This is not to say the other two I've tried were not good but this was definitely an adventurous taco that I can't stop recommending. My SO has had the Masala Enchiladas and loved them too! They're very flavorful and filling. The restaurant is very eclectic and mixes the really beautiful art styles of Indian and Mexican culture. I wanted to give this place 5 stars, but my experience at this restaurant began somewhat rudely. Our company had reserved an outdoor table for 12 people at 1:30pm, and I happened to be the first one there at around 1:23pm. I could see that one large outdoor table had been set, so I was wondering if it was ours and whether it would be alright for me to sit there and wait for the rest of my group. I waited for sometime for the hostess to show up who was no where to be seen. So I asked another waitress (a very nice girl with short black hair and glasses) if our table was ready yet. She said that it was and that I was welcome to sit down and she would let my server know that I was there. So I went ahead and sat down at the table. After about 7-10 minutes, the hostess (the lady with the dyed hair) showed up to tell me that I had to get up from the table because they didn't seat incomplete parties. She also told me that this table was actually reserved by another party and not mine. I was so confused because I was just told by the other waitress that I could sit down at that very table. She asked me who that person was who had told me that I could do that? At that point I felt it unnecessary to stand there and argue, so I just kept on walking. If there is a policy in place where they can't seat an incomplete party, then the entire staff needs to be briefed on it. I was highly embarrassed as she told me to get up from the table in front of other restaurant patrons, who were staring at me. One restaurant goer who had overheard us actually felt bad for me as I was walking by and told the hostess that I could have her table as they were almost done. I was looking forward to having a pleasant relaxed lunch with my colleagues, but the rudeness of the hostess left a very bad impression on me. (By the way, when we were finally given permission to sit down, we given the exact same table that I was asked to get up from. Go figure). read more

My family likes the food here but I do not. I really enjoyed the food at Tequila Grande but the tortillas here taste different. The tacos taste more like the corn tortilla than the filling. The fried tortilla for the salad bowl was extremely stale and tasted like old oil. The chicken in the salad seemed over stewed because it was dry even covered with vegetables. My parent's chicken quesadilla was good. The chips and salsa were the best food items that night but even the table salsa had extremely different textures. I ordered the tres chilies margarita and the drink was perfect! it was so good with the perfect spice levels. none of the chilies were over bearing, i would recommend any of my friends who like spicy drinks to order this margarita. i also tried some of my friends drinks including the spicy mango margarita, jalapeño margarita, and mexican mule which i enjoyed as well, this spot gets a 10/10 for drinks. the drink prices are also super reasonable! for the food: i heard their portions are huge from a friend so i shared the camarones masala with a friend. this was a spicy shrimp and rice dish with naan on the side. there were probably 4 pieces of shrimp total in the dish - huge rip off! not to mention after eating i had severe stomach pain. such a let down! the food itself wasn't warm upon arrival and the shrimp was way too spicy - there was no blend of the flavors and spices. Was really disappointed with this entree! Since the table size was large I'd definitely come back again with a group of 2-4 since this restaurant is still new I'm sure they're getting the hang of things. I know this is not really a fair review as I did not go to this place to eat. (Birthday) I was just there and I will only speak to what I witnessed. The place is really nice... like a an influencers background. Good music and very friendly staff. The parking is plentiful. But the tables are a little too close to each other... and it's made felt smaller by pillows? Seriously so many pillows all over lol. It is not their fault I went in fall weather when it is neither hot/cold but it was either too cold or too hot in the place and made the experience harder around spicy air The amount of spice and peppers used in the food messes with the sinuses a bit. But not in a bad way. But definitely worked against them At times. Now I will remind you I wasn't in the mood for food drenched in butter or oil... but unfortunately it was pay $20 for something I didn't want or chicken tenders. Or maybe they should make an extra effort to comfort all patrons??? Idk... your call My family ordered pretty much everything on menu and I was able to try some things and the only thing that was a huge hit at the table were the nachos and salsa. Everything else was "ok" The burritos are very big and well presented but in my opinion... which again is based on very limited tasting... is that all the food was just mediocre Indian food dressed up as Mexican. For example a tikka masala taco was a half scoop of mediocre tikka masala on Mini naan garnished with picked onion. That's neither taco or tikka. The thing I tried that was prob the best of it all was the steak on fajitas... but at $20 a plate... it seems a waste for a few bites. But steak doesn't need a lot of seasoning and I think less would be better for this place. Now heat is another subject all together, the reliance of curry, cumin, and star anise i under stand... but just blatant spice doesn't make things better... be careful with Baja shrimp... basically smothered in some spicy pepper. At the end of the day I think it's a good place to eat once you know what's good and what's just filler option on menu. Fajitas are good. Burrito is big. Nachos are plentiful and tasty. Nothing else is worth a mention. And I would skip dessert. Most restaurants don't try hard on desserts. These guys aren't an exception. Mama Tigre offers a host of Margaritas and food that are delicious. The group at the bar is exceptional as well as the rest of the crew. If you're like me, a little bit of Portuguese or Spanish works wonders, but isn't necessary. I hope there's more of these that open. It's a awesome spot to hang out in. read more

Honestly the wait here is terribly long. A little ridiculous that they don't take reservations or call ins but I guess that means business is booming. Also disappointed because we called beforehand and were told the wait is 20-30 minutes and when we asked questions regarding call ins the staff was rude and dismissive. Regardless we put our name on the list for a 55 minute. They actually texted us that the table was ready within 15 minutes which was nice but I guess the estimate was terribly off. Now coming on to the service itself. We were promptly seated and our server brought us chips and salsa. Service seemed promising so far and then it went so downhill. We finished our chips and he didn't bring us another round of chips despite making eye contact two times with us and quickly refilling the chips at the table right next to ours. I will say he gave great service to the table next to ours throughout though- quick to bring them drinks as well. Only got another batch of chips after I asked and even then he didn't think to replace the salsa when he could see we were out. Also I asked him specifically if the masala enchiladas had flour or corn tortillas and he categorically said flour. Of course when they came out they were corn. And they have these cards on the tables that you can flip to say you need service (red) or you're okay (green). We had it on red, he walked by, quickly flipped it without asking us anything, and walked away before we could stop him. And now for the food. It's different and the blend of Mexican and Indian is unique. The food also comes out pretty quickly. Doesn't really fulfill my Mexican craving but definitely can see the appeal, especially for vegetarians as there are more options. In the chicken tortilla soup there was 1 piece of chicken in the whole thing so that's disappointing. Regardless food is not worth the terrible customer service. Tldr; will not be back and regret forcing my parents to come here. Overall atmosphere is unwelcoming and inattentive. Lots of other restaurants with better food and service. read more

After about a year from my mediocre lunch first visit, I had dinner with a friend at mama Tigre, and it was amazing! I got the jambalaya which was served with a corn tortilla --it was an amazing combo! We also got an excellent chicken mole The flavors and seasonings in the jambalaya, the beef, chicken, the shrimp all together was delicious! I came back later and bought a gift card for a friend and picked up a take-out Tres Leche's and flan--These were the best I have ever had!
