The restaurant is very vibrant with many specials. I ordered two soft tacos with steak. It was more like a beef stew then the grilled steak I expected. The breakfast burrito was big with a sauce on top. The refined beans were fine. Nothing to rave about. The guacamole came in a cute pig molcajete. The mild sauce that came with the chips was tasty. The service was also a bit slow. Overall I think I'll try other taco places nearby. Might come back for the drink specials.

The music was loud but the food was exceptionally delicious and the ambiance was very pleasant. The lady was nice but the painting of frida kahlo was haunting me her spirit was in there i know it. And the cactus cannot be real i have never seen pink and blue cacti that big in my life. no where in facebook

Service: very nice! A bit slow at times, but very nice - much more attentive toward the end Ambiance: casual Tex-Mex spot. Usable bathrooms but they smelled bad and weren't very clean. Sinks spray all over so be careful. Food: no! Not worth the cost and doesn't compare to local spots at all. Even with an inkind promotion, I was still mad at what I paid. Enchilada: not good at all. I got pork with green sauce. Sauce was on the sweeter side. Chimichanga: unimpressive Rice: bland and dry Charro beans: just tastes like roasted something lol Taco: ground beef - very basic but okay Fried ice cream: pass. Not truly fried, just rolled around in some soft topping and placed on top of sweet, fried tortilla strips. Coke: flat Wouldn't return.

If you want a mexican dining experience that is a bit luxurious and you're mainly searching for a fancy vibe, check out Urbano in the Mosaic District. The prices of their food are a bit steep for the portions they offer in contrast to your average mexican restaurant, but if you're not the kind to eat until your overstuffed their portions might just do it for you. My sister and I had their steak fajitas, and it was presented nicely and cooked to perfection on a bed of onions. Their chips come with two different salsas, one of which is a smoky chipotle salsa that I haven't tried anywhere else! The person taking our orders roamed around and checked in on their customers often which was nice. Enjoyed the experience here.

We love this place in the spring and summer--open air, great food. We went there in winter and they do not turn the heat on. It was somewhere in the 50s in the place and no vestibule to keep outside chill out. By the end of the meal, we were nearly frozen to death. The manager had no explanation and had not contacted HVAC or anyone about remedying its Weird. Come back in summer! Unreadable thermostat picture (sorry!) that said 61 degrees.

Craving Mexican and around the area? I wouldn't be opposed to giving Urbano a shot. For the most part I would say this place satisfied my cravings with the fajitas but was slightly on the pricer side with the value you're getting. The service was alright, it wasn't anything special and our server seemed unenthusiastic even when I'd consider my siblings and I "easy customers."

As Tex Mex goes, Urbano does a pretty good job. We have been here a few times and always leave with the same thoughts. The drinks are decent and the food is good; although, you are kinda left wanting more.

Went during Friday happy hour! If you want the happy hour prices you'll have to sit at the bar, and it's on until 7pm. I give this place 5 stars for their margaritas and the free chips and dip! I could literally just eat the chips and dip for my meal the chips just vanish in my mouth lol. We got the carnitas taquitos and the chicken quesadillas. I was so full from the drinks and chips so I didn't finish it but it was a standard quesadilla. This place gets busy so if you don't have a reservation or come early there may be a wait. We were lucky there were two seats at the bar!

I went to Urbano to celebrate my friend's birthday. I have to say that the thing I remember the most about the place is how strong the alcoholic margaritas were here. Walking inside the interior is spacious with the front windows open. It did feel like I was in DC for a minute since some places have everything inside for the windows open too. We sat down and we immediately got drinks. I got the urbano gold frozen rita regular size. When it initially came out, I was shocked at the size since it was in one of those giant goblet cups. Drinking it was a challenge because since I didn't eat anything prior I was getting a tad drunk. That just means the alcoholic drink is worth getting. For the food, I got the Birria Tacos which came with consomme rojo. It also came with refried beans, rice, veggies such as onions cilantro, jack cheese, sour cream guac, and salsa. It was good but I think the portion was a bit small. I'd probably try another dish here but overall, our server was nice and kept checking on us. I think since it was also early there wasn't many people there but it was also a thursday afternoon too.

Always having a good experience when I eat here! The service if the restaurant is excellent. They stay up to date with their guests, consistently came by to refill water, ask if I needed anything, made sure the food came out in a timely manner. I always enjoy the fajitas. Comes out nice and hot with good portions. This place is very well decorated too. Not only do I enjoy the food but the environment of this restaurant.

The food here is pricey, but it's delicious. I had a bowl of chili and the Urbano burger. It's terrific, as is the service and the atmosphere.

My partner did note that the bathrooms weren't that great. You immediately get served complementary chips and salsa. They were pretty basic, but not bad. We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.

We were promptly seated for dinner and my wife asked for a ginger beer to which the server indicated he didn't think they served ginger beer. My wife indicated that it's on the menu so the server lost instant credibility by saying they didn't have it, and didn't bother to say he would go check. The server brought chips and salsa which we thought were ok. The chips were really thin and the salsa was runny to the point I got it all over the table. Despite asking the server for napkins, he didn't bring any after 10 mins of waiting. I ended up going to the kitchen and asking if I could have napkins and brought them back to the table myself. Totally ridiculous that a customer has to serve themself. Restaurant cleanliness appeared to be problematic with napkins and debris on the floor, and tables that took 30 mins to get cleaned after patrons left. My wife had fajitas and thought they were good. I had a burrito that had a very thick tortilla to the point I felt like I was eating bread. Some of the steak in the burrito was medium-rare despite not being asked for my preference of how I wanted it cooked. You would think that would be well done in this instance. Needless to say, my wife said we're not returning and I'm not going to fight her over it. I don't recall our first experience being this way but the service and food have definitely changed for the worst.

The ambience is lively without feeling cramped, which makes it an easy place to settle in after work. Happy Hour: Their happy hour is definitely the main draw. The large margaritas are priced extremely well, and when the mix is right, they're excellent. The only downside is consistency -- sometimes the drinks have a good balance of alcohol, and other times they taste more like lemonade and feel watered down. The appetizer prices are also great. We ordered the fried wings and Mexican rice; both were okay and edible, but not particularly memorable compared to other spots. Service: Service was generally good, but with only one bartender covering the entire bar, there were stretches where he disappeared or was tied up. Nothing terrible, just not the level of attentiveness you get at places with more staff behind the bar. Overall: Despite the inconsistencies, we'd come back. The happy hour prices are hard to beat, and when the drinks hit right, it's worth the visit.

They have lots of delicious dishes but we both always get the Steak Fajitas. You get 10oz of marinated skirt steak and that marinade is fire. The steak comes on a sizzling platter with a side of Mexican butter. Butter y'all! You 100% want to pour that butter all over the steak and the sautéed green peppers and onions. This was a new thing for me, but the flavor is incredible. This steak just melts in your mouth. I'm salivating thinking about it. This entree is way too big of a serving to eat at once, but I typically do and am way too full. It's that good! The Fajitas are served with Mexican rice, a la charra beans, guacamole, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and homemade tortillas on the side. The charra beans are also a unique touch. They are hearty and flavorful. Must also brag on their homemade tortillas. To me, the flour is where it's at. They are so soft. You can actually watch them making them fresh from your table. When you put all the fajitas components together and take a bite, it's really delish. Chips and salsa is also stellar, as is their fresh guacamole and queso. If you are going to get a margarita just go ahead and get the large size. They are yummy and it's a better deal than ordering two. Their restaurants are large so lots of tables to accommodate small and large parties alike. It's a casual joint so great for families, celebrations, date night.
