Best dumplings in Nashville! My friends who are vegan recommend them tor lunch after church and it was such an amazing experience. Great customer service and even better food. I look forward to returning and telling all my friends and family about Mama Yang and Daughter. Bonus: they have free 60 minute parking and games inside.

Open conveniently 11am-8pm. Takes credit card There's street parking. Also there's 30 min free parking in the lot with validation. We met the owner, the daughter in "Mama Yang and daughter" she was super nice. This is boba and drinks were so good. The boba is served warmed so the boba is nice and soft. You can adjust the sweetness of the tea. I like mine with less sweet. I am Taiwanese and also from Los Angeles. I thought the tea and dumplings was equal to the quality in LA. Strawberry green tea with boba ($6.50)- super super good. Enough strawberry flavor and enough tea flavor. Get this or any other fruit tea Hokkaido milk tea ($6.50)- also super good. Enough Hokkaido flavor. Winter melon tea ($6.50)- very unique Asian flavors. I like winter melon The dumplings are some of the best I have had and that's comparing to the dumplings in LA. I bought the frozen dumplings and cooked them at home. Mama Pork Dumplings ($10.50 for 10)- was super super good and delicious. You can eat them pan fried or boiled. Both are good. Get this! Chicken and Mushroom dumplings ($10.50 for 10)- also super good. If you don't like pork, this is a great option. Pork Bao (3 for $14.50) steamed at home. Super good and tasty. It's bread exterior.

You can't go wrong with homemade dumplings! We had one order of 10 and did 1/2 pork and 1/2 chicken/mushroom. Both were delicious! They came out steaming hot, and the chili crunch was worth the add. We also had the cucumber salad- simple and fresh- and the wonton soup. We enjoyed everything!

I started following/eating Mama Yang & Daughter when they were only at farmer's markets and festivals. I am THRILLED that they have a brick-and-mortar shop now. The staff is so friendly! I have had their entire menu (not an exaggeration!), and I can honestly say it is all fantastic. The special sauce is vital. We will even buy huge bottles of it to have on hand to prepare other dishes at home any time recipes call for soy sauce. My most beloved item is their taro boba. Loving Mama Yang boba (aka bubble tea) has become my entire personality. When I needed to cater my sister's baby shower, I chose Mama Yang & Daughter, and it was a hit! I recommend them vigorously.

Amazing!! Grace truly knows what she's doing. I'm so thankful to have authentic bao, dumplings, and boba in this yeehaw town! I got the strawberry matcha boba, bao bun, and cucumber salad. The boba is fresh, warm, and tender. I get upset if the boba is too chewy- it should not have the texture of preceded gum! I'm Taiwanese, I'm really discerning with my boba. Theirs is absolutely perfect. The strawberry matcha was also deliciously creamy and sweet, it was like a better Boba Guys (IYKYK). The baos are so succulent and delicious I want them to be the appetizer at my wedding. The cucumbers were the perfect foil to the bao- cold, crisp, and zingy to cut through the richness of the meaty bao. I love it here so much!

I loved this place. The food is great I had pork potstickers and lychee tea. Would recommend. I am not from Nashville and didn't know this, but they have free 60 min parking using a QR code inside.

Mama Yang and Daughter has been on my list to try for so long, but I rarely make it to framers markets (the parking situations overwhelm me). I was thrilled to see that they opened a physical location - but also a little heartbroken that this was how I learned that Ying Yang Boba closed their doors. Luckily Mama Yang's had some incredible boba as well! I prepaid for parking nearby, but learned that they actually validate and there is at least one free lot that opened in the area. The customer service was amazing! Everyone was so kinda and attentive! However, the real star was of course the food! I tried the steamed dumplings, the bao, and the wonton soup! All were unique in their flavors but the texture for every dumpling was spot on! They all had this slightly bouncy texture, the type you can taste that they were made fresh. The fillings were all flavorful and they were packed with filling! The soup was my favorite, but that's likely only because my deep love for soup! Everything was fresh and delicious! As mentioned above I also tried the boba, I went with the peach tea with boba, and the flavor was fantastic and the boba was nice and bouncy! Overall, this is an amazing addition to the Germantown area and absolutely a spot I will return to soon!

There is nothing to not like about this place. Starting with the cheerful Daughter herself, Grace was a pleasure to meet at the register. Her love of her and her mother's homemade dumplings spill over into everything here. The pork Dumplings (she told me about the choice cuts of pork carefully cooked for the filling) were wonderful. Equally wonderful was the Won Ton soup, especially welcomed on a cold day. I also tried the stellar Cucumber salad that was more like delightfully pickled Persian Cucumbers bathed in a delicious garlicky vinegar sauce. They have a small place here which they will probably outgrow soon but it's nice and clean and modern. Parking is free for the first thirty minutes so you have no excuse. These ladies are not just serving you food. They are serving their hearts.

Best dumplings in town! I walked in and ordered some to try, and then bought several packs of frozen dumplings to bring home to the family for dinner. I can't wait to see what Grace and her team stir up next! We will be back!

This is one of my absolute favorite places (and small business owners) in Nashville! The food is so comforting and easy to prepare if you choose to get the frozen options. This is the BEST boba in Nashville! I am so excited she has opened a store front please go and support!

My favorite bubble tea in Nashville!! And I could actually eat their marinated cucumbers every day, especially with the chili crisp. Quick and friendly service! Will be back to stock up on frozen items!

This is a solid 4.5-star experience. But since they're local, they're innovative, and they have fabulous customer service, we're just going to round that up to a five! Their website lists where you can find them each day of the week and I love the fact that they're mobile, offering their fabulous dumplings in several parts of town! It was a Monday, the one day they're located at 4611 Alabama Avenue. So I headed to that narrow, two-block region squished between Sylvan Park and The Nations that most of us simply call Richland Park. You'll definitely think you're in the wrong place, so let me give you some tips for your scavenger hunt. When you walk up to Citizens Kitchen, you'll see a red door and a sign that reads Gio's Chicago Pizza. Yup, you're in the right place! There isn't a sign form Mama Yang, but when you enter that red door, you'll find an extensive kitchen where the magic happens. I peeked in the door and sure enough, there was Grace patiently waiting at a table, the daughter in the mother-daughter duo known as Mama Yang & Daughter. You buy packages of these frozen masterpieces, choosing from four dumpling options, and steam them in a non-stick pan at home. Let me tell you, I've eaten my share of dumplings in China, and these are really, really good! But the wonderful sauce that comes with them boosts this experience into the stratosphere with perfectly complementary flavors! The pork is of excellent quality and very fresh, the dough is perfectly chewy yet soft, and the product Mama Yang makes is an exquisite sample of truly authentic Asian food. Well done!

But when it comes to small-batch everything The Shoppes On Fatherland had yet to let me down so on a slow Sunday in late winter I made my way to East End to see what's what. I walked into a tiny shop that was full of personality. The owner greeted me with a sincere smile and engaged me about my day. Nice start. I let him know that I wasn't sure of what I was doing so he walked me through the menu, the POV and the mission of the business. I was all in on all three. I ordered a Loaded with butter and a Straight Edge with jam to go. As I waited for my order to be boxed, I looked around at the BLM and anti-racist signage in the shop. Even if these biscuits tasted like cardboard, I was going to make sure to support them. Sad that in today's times people have to proclaim their *anti*racist bona fides but things are what they are. We can all read the news. Boxed up, I headed home to see what was what. The Loaded was described as a Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuit. You already know that's a statement. Regardless of region, race, age, or income, those cheddar bay biscuits have held a sway on Americans of every background at some point or another. Tasting it, I got it, meaning I understood the reference. The biscuit (paired with butter) had a subtle finish but I enjoyed the flaky texture. Since I am a glutton, I had the second biscuit directly after. Wow!! The Straight Edge may be the 'regular' biscuit but it + the strawberry jam is all the belief you need. I wanted to savor it but I inhaled it. The combo of that biscuit and that jam was everything I wanted. How these delectable biscuits are vegan is beyond me. Next level in their wizardry would be to make gluten-free biscuits that are every bit as delicious as their vegan ones. But, I won't be greedy. My achy gut (thanks US wheat supply) means that I won't be an all-the-time customer but I'll definitely be back and encourage others to do the same.

Per some sources, they are the first bean to bar chocolate maker in Tennessee, and they even offer weekly factory tours, although I wasn't able to make it in time for one. Olive and Sinclair has a relatively small retail area. They have all of their products on display and more importantly, have tons of samples! I ended up trying basically everything. The chocolatier doesn't advertise where they source their cocoa from but I asked an employee and she said they switch it up all the time. Apparently the current batch is from Peru, which gives the chocolate a pretty neutral taste at the start but then transitions to a kind of sharper dried fruit taste. They also sell several types of caramels. The Ghost Pepper Caramel starts with the caramel sweetness. It's only a second or two later that some heats starts to show up. I'm not sure how much ghost pepper they actually use; the heat is a bit more than just a warmth, but isn't nearly to the point of being painful. The heat lingers for quite a while, enough that I had to wait a good five minutes before trying another caramel! Interestingly I think this one has the "cleanest" caramel taste, at least at the start before the pepper kicks in! The Duck Fat Caramel has similar sweet undertones but adds on a really savory and almost meaty element on top. The Sea Salt & Vinegar Caramel has a light vinegar scent. It starts with sweetness and a light tang, but then the vinegar gets stronger. It never gets to the point of tasting like a vinaigrette, but is quite noticeable. To be honest, I'm not a fan of any of the caramels. They are certainly unique and nice to try though! I ended up picking some of their more intriguing products - the Bourbon Nib Brittle and the Smoked Nib Brittle - for gifts. From what I tried in store, they're both exactly as the names imply: super bourbon forward sweet candy, and a surprisingly intense smoky sweet. Yum! Olive and Sinclair Chocolate is definitely a place to pick up some unique local gifts! I wish I had made it in time for one of their tours.

Ordered Guinness and it was being put in and warm so couldn't serve it. Makes sense BUT bummer because it's Father's Day and my S.O. couldn't get a Guinness during lunch on Father's Day from a Boston based bar..kind of uncool. Connecticut lobster roll was buttery and fantastic. The chips that came with it were good. My husband's Signature Fish wasn't that great. Rather greasy and didn't taste like our previous visits. Felt bad because took my S.O. chose this place for his day but food was just okay. We also paid $14 for parking (lot in front) - yikes.

Super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their patio is such a great spot. Large and spacious. The reason for my less than stellar ranking is due to my fish and chips. I got the British style. I love beer bartered fish. This one just was a little too greasy and a little more fishy than I like. My friends tried it and agreed. We did like that you could order a singular crab cake, a few people got that. I would go back but maybe try a different fish. I would love to go back for drinks and the pretzel at happy hour.
