I had been following their account for a good amount of time now and was so excited to see a modern Filipino restaurant! The co-owner Celina and her family were so beyond sweet and I'm so happy I met them ! The Ube Milk Tea was sooo delicious and perfect amount of sweetness. I would def get that again! However, the chicken adobo could have used more soy sauce and vinegar and lacked that adobo flavor, same went for the adobo fried rice. The garlic noodles were a mushy texture although the flavor was good and super garlicky (i loveeeee garlic). The chicken and pork lumpia was good and went well with the sauces and stayed crispy until I got home! I absolutely loved the ambiance of their spot. It is so homey and inviting. There is a variety plants and they also sell a variety of products from Filipino owned businesses. So much good stuff to say about this place!! I've been ordering food from them since they've ran their business outside of their house. Their food is delicious!! It's super hard finding a Filipino restaurant in the Contra Costa area, other than Seafood City :'( The store is soo aesthetically pleasing and staff is so nice!! They change a bit of their menus weekly which keeps the restaurant fresh. I also like how they showcase other different small businesses in their store with stickers, snacks/treats, or merch! This was the first restaurant my son and I ate at since we just moved into the area. I adore Filipino food & was fascinated with the photos and presentation of the yelp page. So we headed over and was pleased to see the fun decorations and even a selfie station where there are multiple candid photos of what seems to be customers. After seeing the menu there is a process of ordering you get your choose of lumpia (chicken/pork/veg) and 1-3 sides varying on what items you choose to put in your platter. Great customer service although, the sisig was a bit greasy and the lumpia just not crisp enough for my liking. Service was fine, first time in so I ordered a combo plate the garlic rice and garlic noodles were both poorly flavored the rice seemed to be old and noodles mushy with garlic sprinkled over it I literally could only stand 1taste of each . I was extremely disappointed... it was soggy and cooked on old oil so was brown and soggy, not crispy and hot as I had hoped. I even specificity asked if it was cooked fresh and they said yes. So I can't give a review based on what I think food taste like. The quality of the food and the staff are rad though. The fried chicken wing was marinated in adobo which was quite delicious but, we made a mistake in ordering it dry, with sauce on the side. (The sauce came in a very small container which I couldn't really enjoy it bc it wasn't enough to even taste it over the chicken and rice.) I will have to try with sauce over it next time. The lumpia is delicious fresh. The adobo wings are so good. I was impressed that they were able to get that garlic, vinegar flavor in a dry wing. The wings were nice and meaty too. They are moderately busy but not extremely busy and I have seen busier places get their act together. There were 3-4 people in line or order and about 5-6 for pickup. The guy on the front kept saying "we are so busy"! The food is pre-made so there's no excuse especially with short lunchtime at offices. The food was just OK, not tastier than other Filipino places. The sisig was not crispy enough and that was a bummer. Overall not a good impression on day 1 so I'm not returning back until I hear of timely service & better environment like ventilation. I normally run for a bag of kettle chips but I was craving something more ; something that would be equally as good but more fulfilling. I found this cool little spot that's new in the neighborhood. I found just what I needed instantly my mood changes from melancholy to joy! The staff here are all pleasant from the time you walk in until they hand you that bag of goodness. I love filipino food lucky me for having a diverse group of friends that I have enjoyed foods from other cultures. I ordered lumpia , crispy adobo wings pancit bihon and sisig!!! EVERYTHING was good lumpia was crunchy, wings had good flavor , pancit was yummy I luv extra crunchy veggies and the sisig was the highlight !!! "Mama's Lumpia" What I love about the.."Social Media" age, is the fact that just simple promotion and word of mouth can lead to great things as times. I sometimes like when I don't find out about things though the "Yelpire". Yes, "Yelp" is a very useful tool in this day and age, especially when a business really wants to establish itself. Leave it to us "Yelper" to further spread the word. But the drawback is this...."Not everyone is a Yelper". This establishment has created a lot of buzz on social media outlets more notably "Instagram" and for a while I was hoping to try them when they use to be a pop up shop. Now they're moving to something more streamline. With them being more assessable, now....is the time for thoughts and opinions.. "What's Special about Mama's Lumpia?" Now, here is what's good about this establishment. Word of mouth promotion and as crazy as it is to use the "Cerveza Pandemic" as an excuse. Hungry people being at home and hungry also really helped them a little IMO. Who doesn't love "Lumpia" like really. Who doesn't like a concept that is drastically different than your run of the mill offerings from food we get today in general? Well their selling point and claim to fame is the "Lumpia" and from the following, they're good at it. They market themselves pretty well from what I can see and tell, but more is very much to be desired at the end of the day. "What you should expect...." A busy little humble storefront with people waiting for their orders. Not outrageously busy, but consistent. Of course you should expect to try the "Lumpia" here as it's what they're known for (Chicken, Pork and Veggie) and expect them to be of the bite size variety as well. For me....I didn't really find them that special TBH, the flavor was okay (I got the chicken ones) but they didn't blow me away at all, nor did the "Garlic Noodles" that I got as a double side. Kinda bland, and the vinegar sauce, parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes as the topping didn't really enhance anything for me. Of course this is just my opinion. They have boba here in which I got an "Ube" flavored one. They use "Oatmilk" here in favor of regular milk, so if that's a deal breaker the milk teas here may not be for you. Overall it wasn't bad, just not what I would of wanted when wanting a milk tea. But the store front has some character overall and I get the general vibe here. "Conclusion" Mama's Lumpia Pacheco: Sits right off the freeway in Pacheco. Notable businesses near this establishment is the California Grand Casino, Paddock Bowl and Los Pancho's Taqueria. Service: Great service and that is a very high point for an establishment that has quite the buzz. So I could imagine them having a huge rush at times. Price Range: Expect to pay between seven to twenty bucks for your average order, mine was "19.25" for a two side plate combo and a large milk tea with added boba. Kinda pricy a bit for what you get at the end of the day. But I like to support small businesses. More items on the menu that isn't really on their general menu so the price could definitely vary here. read more

Mama's Lumpia catered our monthly store lunch at a local car dealership. I always get nervous ordering from small businesses because I have to order so much food with little notice due to budget resetting at the beginning of the month. I emailed their team on Tuesday for pick up the same week on Friday. They responded to me the next business day with an invoice that I could pay online. With enough food for 135 people and little notice things generally go either one of two ways: we are blown out of the water, or we are sorely disappointed. I couldn't pick up myself because I was busy setting up the lunch so I sent another employee. Once he came back to the store, I was amazed at how well everything was packaged! There wasn't a single spill, even with the adobo! The food was still hot and everything was delicious. My Lola would have been so happy that I was able to introduce Filipino food to so many people who hadn't gotten to enjoy it. Everyone loved it! It was absolutely a hit and no one I've ordered from can beat their pricing. I would 100000% recommend for an easy and smooth corporate catering. I had the $15 combo of pork adobo, garlic noodles, and chicken/pork lumpia. Serving size was decent. Garlic noodles were really good- strong garlic flavor, noodles had a good texture. The lumpia was pretty decent- not overfried or hard, but not soft either. The pork adobo was just ok- there's no sauce, so it was a little dry. I much prefer when there is some sauce/gravy. My girlfriend had the same combo, except she had adobo wings. The wings were ok, nothing really stood out about them. I was in the area so I stopped here 10/31 ordered adobo wings and they were so good that I drove 30 minutes from San Ramon to get more. Tonight, I waited 35 minutes and not only did I get my food cold, the chicken was so greasy, and tough like it wasn't cooked all the way .. i also noticed it had a weird smell like it was old or left out before being fried. I went to ask them to remake fresh chicken and the guy offered a refund. I simply wanted new chicken. They proceeded to make a new plate and this time I tried to bite the chicken in the store to confirm it was ok. It wasn't. I'd asked and the guy stated nothing was different , it was cooked thoroughly and that's just how they make it there which I know wasn't true because I'd just had it. He was super defensive. So this is near my crib. Been wanting to check it out for a while. Its a tiny place. On this particular day we where told that they only had very limited items due to the Holidays. We got some lumpia and wings. Its quite pricey for the amount you get. I was like where is the bag? Lol ... it was $23.. for the tiny tiny lumpia and wings no rice... rice was pricey.. so i thought i make some at home lol Ive had my share pinoy food and many types of lumpia... and i know the OG lumpia are small... but wow these where very small. I have been trying to get in touch with them to see if they have options for people that are unable to stand in the line and what those options are. This place is tiny and you can only order food to go. They only had one table and 2 chairs outside to eat and chairs inside is used to sit while you wait for your food. We almost left but I figured the food must be good because there was a constant line. So we decided to stay and order the sisig which was pretty good but it took over 30 minutes. Food was fresh and delicious! Great customer service as well. The gentleman at the register was very nice too. I also like the nice backdrop they have set up. I'm deducting two stars because of sanitary concerns. While I was waiting for my food, someone in the kitchen, where the food was obviously being made, kept sneezing. And I'm talking forcefully sneezing! You can tell when someone is trying to cover their sneeze but this person was just freely doing it as if no one was around. Amazing! Go-to place for larger lumpia orders! They are a newer small business with their first shop and they are super kind and friendly. They are not fast food like the Golden Arches. Items are made from scratch with lumpia being cooked (fried) to order for the most part (from what I can tell). Their food is good! We love it. It is really flavorful (garlic noodles are GARLICKY!) But not salty. I actually like that it isn't very salty - you can add the salt you want! The lumpia is fresh and crispy. Great flavor. The lines are long, yes. People like their food which should speak volumes about how good it is. I wish large lumpia orders would take advantage of online ordering. I think that would help (a little) and they are new and still working on their schedule. If you can't wait in line to order right now or find it annoying, try again in a few weeks after they've settle into a solid routine with all workers on board. They'll get there!
