    Crab cake eggrolls

Fantastic choice. We were pining for brunch on a busy Saturday afternoon and hadn't made a reservation. Thankful that they were able to squeeze us in at a table at the top of the stairs. Good people watching--out the window to the folks outside below, but also into the kitchen just behind us. We observed a very well-run establishment. Several staff including the manager, who had a great sense of humor and kind-spiritedness, stopped by to check on us. We didnt end up ordering brunch since items on the other menus won us over very quixkly: the crab cake eggrolls (appetizer) and the crab grilled cheese (lunch). Being ambitious, we did ask the server to leave the menu behind, just in case. There was so much deliciousness to choose from But alas, we were satiated. To drink, we skipped the bottomless Mimosa and Bloody Mary and opted instead for a Blood Orange Margarita (which was more berry-like in color) and a Passion Fruit Mezcal Sour. Both were a tad sweet for our preference but very good otherwise. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

So so yum. Haven't eaten a bad thing here. Shared the sandwich and salad and we are absolutely stuffed. The salad is massive and the sandwich is easily two servings. Service is fast, so many options and the option for outside seating when it is nice outside is fantastic. Will be coming back again.

I loved this place! Went for the first time with a friend and we had no idea how great the specials/happy hour was! The service was attentive. The ambiance was chill. There is a downstairs area and upstairs. The crushes were only $6 on Wednesday and Mussels were 1/2 off. We chose white wine for the sauce. Mon-Fri oysters are $1 for the oyster of the month! They were so delicious. And the crab dip was great! I wish they came with more veggies and crackers but the bread bowl it comes in, is so delicious. It doesn't get soggy which was a plus. I would 100% go back and I recommend!

I brought a friend here for brunch for their birthday per their suggestion. Instead on doing the usual bottomless I chose a crush since I never had one. I got the John Daly and it was delicious. I could see it being extra refreshing on a summer day. I'm not typically a vodka girl but I really enjoyed it. We got the grilled oysters as an appetizer and got two of each topping choice. I was pleasantly surprised by the smoked paprika butter topping. For my entree I got the crab cake Benny. It's hard to turn down a Benny! The Benny was everything I wanted it to be. Our server was patient and nice, we never felt rushed. She also was able to tell us about which menu items were more popular than others. This place has so many good reviews for a reason! Good seafood and good crushes, I'll certainly add this to my Baltimore restaurants list! Cheers!

Stopped by for an early lunch, so it was mostly empty. Alex and Stephanie were friendly. They had us take our pick of outdoor and indoor seating (1st and 2nd Floor). We opted to sit indoor, because there was construction going on nearby outside. Got a couple of each of the oysters from the Raw Bar (Mama's Wold Ass. Salts, Shooting Points, Delaware Bay). They were freshly shucked and not too briney. Shooting Points was my favorite of the three. The Cream of Crab (Cup) had nice chunks of crab. A little on the salty side, but the crackers help balance it. Good creamy consistency. The Eastern Shore Cobb Salad also had nice chunks of crab. It was a pretty big portion. The ingredients were fresh and well balanced. There was the perfect amount of dressing. Decent spot to hit if you're in the area!

Located in such a cute area of Baltimore, my friend recommended this restaurant for seafood and I was so impressed! I loved the ambiance, victorian style with lots of history on their walls, plus tvs. I sat at the bar and the waiter was really sweet and attentive! As for food, I ordered a crush mocktail, a variety of their oysters - mamas wild ass salts, shoregasms, Delaware bay, blue point, and walrus & carpenter. I slurped the oysters with and without the horse radish and cocktail sauce because it was that fresh. The crab cake was packed with crab meat and the Mac n cheese was perfect. What a great dinner!

Left absolutely stuffed, a bit buzzed, and my dog was half as a clam. I love a dog friendly patio, my dog was welcomed and cared for like he was a paying member of society. The oysters were delicious, the bottomless bloody marry was amazing and spicy without being overwhelming. The service was good, the patio was cozy. Definitely highly recommend

Stopped by for a quick lunch and had a great visit! John was super attentive, friendly and gave all his recommendations as it was my first time visiting. I settled on the cream of crab soup and the salmon BLT. The cream of crab soup was sweet, creamy and full of crab. It was one of my favorites that I've tried! The salmon BLT sandwich was HUGE! A nice, large piece of salmon with the rest of the fresh ingredients made this meal a 10/10. Would def recommend this spot!

All day happy hour on Labor Day. A seafood orgasm. Two dozen oysters on the half shell, orange crushes, combo steamer and crab cake special. The half and half soup with cream of crab, jumbo crab. Great service, great food. Ate at the bar watching the US Open.

It's always a good day to have some seafood. My friend and I were in the Canton area and decided to grab a bite to eat. This Mamas on the Half Shell location has a few tables and a bar on the lower level for dining. Looks like they have outside dining as an option and an upstairs. I didn't go upstairs so not sure of the layout. I ordered a shrimp po boy and it came with a side of fries. I asked for sweet potato fries but they didn't have that as an option. The po boy comes with cole slaw your choice of shrimp or oysters and spicy mayo. I'm not a fan of spicy food so I asked for the spicy mayo on the side and also asked for a side of garlic aioli. The cole slaw really made the sandwich in my opinion. The fries were seasoned just right. The server was nice and checked on us a few times which I appreciated. To my surprise they automatically include an 18% gratuity no matter the size of your party. Overall decent experience and I would return.

We ordered the small raw seafood tower, the steamed seafood platter, and the lobster pasta from the large plates section. We are a family of four with a pretty big appetite, and it ended up being the perfect amount of food for us. Everything was delicious and incredibly fresh. The raw tower came with cocktail sauce, mignonette, horseradish, and lemon slices, and the steamed platter was served with melted butter and nicely seasoned spices. There was also hot sauce and Old Bay seasoning on the table so you could customize everything to your taste. Once the seafood arrived we got fully busy with our hands and all the tools provided, which honestly made the whole experience even more fun. I genuinely cannot pick a favorite because we enjoyed every single thing we ordered. I also tried the Orange Crush, which I learned is a Maryland vodka drink made with freshly crushed fruit juice. That drink was dangerous because it tasted just like orange juice, but the vodka definitely sneaks up on you. Since we were celebrating, dessert was on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch. We shared the cast iron baked cookie with salted caramel ice cream and it was the perfect ending to the meal. The cookie was crispy around the edges, soft and moist in the middle, and the slight saltiness from the ice cream paired so well with it. Our server, Lylah, was wonderful and made sure we always had everything we needed throughout the meal. This ended up being such a memorable dinner for our family. Highly recommend The Choptank for seafood, celebrations, and a fun dining experience in Baltimore.

The waitress made a bunch of mistakes that she never apologized for like not bringing a bottle of wine we ordered until an hour after we sat down, accidentally ordering an additional seafood platter and not removing it from the check, not including fries with a dish that came with them, then charging us extra for them when we asked her to please bring them. In total lunch took over 3 hours when it should have been half that at most. Good help is hard to find these days it seems.

I'd been to Baltimore for Christmas with her but wanted to see what her summers were like growing up. Her father's best friend since 1st grade, her godfather, offered to treat us to Thames St Oyster House and we could not pass up the offer. We'd been before, she'd been several times. It was her dad and godfather's favorite place to celebrate big occasions. We loved it. As we sat down at our table her godfather exclaimed "Well I'm not the only one paying for this meal, I've been waiting to use this." It was a $100 gift card from my fiancé's late father, in his handwriting. We were floored. We all got choked up and cried a little. It felt like her father was giving us his blessing from beyond the grave. The oysters were phenomenal. The crab cake was amazing. The local beer was perfect on a hot day. Then it came time to pay. We were horrified when the waitress came back with the gift card and told us it was expired. Expired? There is no expiration date printed on it which means it is legally valid indefinitely. She explained that they changed POS systems since the card had been purchased (again, by my fiancé's late father before he was taken by cancer) and that the new system did not recognize it. "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." No offer to grab a manager to see if a portion of the meal could be comped. Just $100 spent by a dearly departed that Thames St Oyster House does not have to answer for. A very tender moment ruined by poor customer service. They've lost 3 repeat customers.

I walked in and I was greeted immediately by Kelsey. I was informed I could sit where ever I wanted to sit and on which ever level floor I chose to and they would find me and take care of me. They did just that. I chose to sit on the 2nd level because it was a little warmer up there and I was able to have time to myself to catch up on my Yelp. I was given menus immediately although I already knew what I wanted. I ordered immediately and was informed that I made great selections and great selections indeed. I ordered their Firecracker Shrimp appetizer and B.A.L.T. Sandwich as my entree. The appetizer was plated lovely! It was so tasty and good. The B.A.L.T. is where we ran into some problems, but before I get to that let me finish out the greatness. The French Fries that I received with my sandwich was so good that I stop eating my Shrimp Appetizer because I had to eat each and every one of those curly seasoned fries. They were so so so good! They didn't even need ketchup! Now, this B.A.L.T. Sandwich was so sad I think I saw it crying on my plate. I got 1 scrawny piece of bacon for each half. They gave me the entire head of lettuce and I opted not to get the avocado and mayo but 1 miserable piece of bacon on each half... heartbreaking. For that reason this place gets a 4. Only reason I didn't give them a 3 is because the young lady that assisted (Kelsey) was fantastic! She was so sweet and kind. She came at the right time all the time and each time she needs to see me she had to run upstairs to check on little old me and appeared to have no problem with it. I would definitely eat there again but no way in hell would I order that B.A.L.T. sandwich. Ultimately worth a visit Yelpers !!

The vibe was cozy, relaxed, and full of personality especially all the dog artwork on the walls (don't tell my cats ). Our waitress, Sadie, was incredibly kind and helpful from the moment we sat down. She highly recommended the truffle fries with the aioli sauce, and WOW!!! she absolutely knew what she was talking about. Those fries were honestly the standout of the meal. The smell alone was amazing when they hit the table -- perfectly crispy with truffle seasoning and Parmesan cheese, and the citrus Parmesan aioli really took them over the top. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the Sully Smash Burger with bacon added, cooked perfectly medium. The chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy, hot, juicy, and flavorful. Everything came out fresh and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. Great food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and definitely somewhere we'd return to next time we're in Fells Point. And we found parking nearby so we didn't have to walk far!

I visited Kooper's Tavern a few days ago because I was craving a burger…read more I ended up ordering a smash burger, a beer (their signature lager), and Old Bay chips. The beer was great--definitely a highlight. The burger, however, wasn't smashed at all and felt pretty basic, aside from their secret sauce, which added some flavor. The chips were good as well. Overall, I'd return for the views, location, and reasonable prices--but I wouldn't order that burger again.
