Mega's pizza is bland and boring. Its sauce has canned tomatoes that taste like a can. The cheese is nearly flavorless and more like vegetable oil. The crust is dry. The toppings were cheap and generic. The whole mess is overly salty. Mega's cheesesteaks have low-end, imported beef that must chopped into thousands of pieces in order to be made chewable due to the huge amount of gristle present. The fries are dry, hard, and taste like burnt cardboard. Cleanliness is lacking as proven by numerous disgusting violations cited in a recent health inspection report (click the attached screenshot). The staff is polite and relatively fast. Prices are a bit on the high side for the actual amount of food received. One positive is the relative freshness of the food. The neighborhood is relatively safe. The restaurant is old and decaying. The parking lot is small. There are several superior pizzerias within driving (or even walking) distance. Two stars is probably one star too many but I added a star for the hardworking staff. read more

Years ago, my favorite thing to order from here was a fried chicken breast hoagie because it came with a lot of onions in it. Then all of a sudden, they started to forget to put the onions on when I'd order it. I would even have to let them know when I'd place an order to try and remember to include the onions. The menu even says that all the hoagies include lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. But something makes them keep forgetting to include the onions now. So I stopped ordering from them like a year ago. Tonight, I decided to give them a chance and ordered that item again. I said "with lettuce, tomatoes, and raw onions". Then a few seconds later, the girl asked me what I want on the hoagie and I repeated "lettuce, tomatoes, and raw onions". Then I picked up my order and what was the hoagie completely missing?... Onions. Not one onion. I don't know what is with this place that they list an item including onions and even when you specify it in the order, they keep forgetting to include them or just choose not to for some reason. This is our go to pizza place. They have a decent menu and delivery is usually pretty fast and the food is nice and hot. Everyone who works there really takes their time with your order to ensure accuracy. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner for a special timed order and went above and beyond for me. Its a great family place. They also have a restaurant if you do not want to wait for delivery. I particularly love their everyday special or a medium plain pizza and a 2-Litter of soda for $10. I have been ordering here for years and can honestly recommend most of the menu, from the sampler appetiser, pizza, steak sandwiches, ravioli dinner, strombolis. If you live in the neighborhood and never tried it, you should give them a call time time you want takeout. read more

I been getting food from here for years because it's close to my house. My neighbor worked there at the front desk briefly and mentioned how clean they were in the kitchen. I love the pizza here, 10/10. I'm very picky with pizza places bc there's so many around but I definitely suggest this restaurant for all comfort food needs! Definitely worth every penny! read more

Ordered the chicken parm pasta and baked ziti for delivery - they were reasonably priced, appx. $10/entree and each included a small salad, and garlic bread. Delivery was fast and the entrees were huge! The food lasted me almost a week and the salad was amazing for something so simple. Would definitely order from here again! read more

The word, "Mega," normally suggests something very large, but in the case of Mega Quality Pizza it can't be related to the size of their shop, as it is quite small, with only four booths shoehorned into a tiny storefront in the 9800 block of Bustleton Avenue, Northeast Philly. So, maybe they are talking about the immense quality of their pies. Some people seem to like them a lot, but they have never been nominated as among the best pizza in this city. After grabbing a quick dinner there last week of their Steak Royal sandwich, Caesar Salad and Quesadilla at very reasonable prices, I can only conclude that the value offered by the quantity and quality vectors from the kitchen makes dining there a pretty big deal if your fortunate enough to find an empty table. My Steak Royal was enough for two people with ordinary appetites, with a load of chopped ribeye, onions, sweet & hot peppers and a splash of red sauce. Of course, the bread makes the sandwich, and their bakery provider has taken good care of them with a premium crunchy torpedo that really came back to life with a few moments in the oven to turn the package into a crispy grinder. It was very good. The cheese Quesadilla was decent, too, but the need for simplicity kept it from being a standout. There is only so much you can do with a single ingredient grilled cheese, even when found in a hot tortilla. Such is the effect of dietary restrictions. The Caesar was mega large in a big bowl, but little more than romaine, tomato, feta, red onion shavings, a sprinkle of parmesan and a plastic cup of Caesar dressing. It wasn't so much that we couldn't finish it, but more that we not motivated to do so. It was fresh, but fairly generic. With a third mouth to fill, we would have ordered a small pizza, too, but we did not need it for the two of us. That will have to wait for another visit. As Mega is right down the street from my favorite Chinese foot massage center, that may not be very long. Is Mega Quality Pizza deserving of that name? Check it out and let us know. read more

Been ordering from here since 2005. I've had their pizza, cheesesteaks (including chicken), stromboli, calzones, wings, fries, mega fries, gyros, quesadillas, burgers, and various sandwiches and others. It's all great. Well, except for the pizza w/ steak. Didn't care for it. Their pizza w/ Italian sausage or bacon, buffalo chicken cheesesteak, Steak Royal, mega fries, regular gyro, steak & fried onion stromboli, and wings are definitely stand-outs. This spot isn't just Quality. It's Mega Quality. What does that mean? Well, for starters it means Mega Hot Fries that stay crispy despite the melted cheese. It means local pizza. It means an All Star sticker machine. We stopped in on a business trip. A nice local spot. Even law enforcement go there. Very patriotic. Lots of American flags. They screwed up my sandwich. I ordered a chicken sandwich with lettuce tomato and mozzarella cheese. They didn't put the lettuce and tomato on it, and instead of mozzarella, they charged me $1 for "extra cheeee" and it was American, not mozzarella. read more

This place sells good food. They sell nice round bread things with cheese and red sauce on top. I negotiate the price all the time. I get great deals here and over there. They claim their round bread things is 16inch. I measured it, it's actually 16.30inches of diameter. read more

Ordered from mega for years. Probably a little too often. Anyway, for being such loyal customer, I was pretty upset by the customer service I received on two separate occasions within the last two months. They have messed up quite a few times over the years but we still continued to order mostly because we didn't want to try anywhere else. On one situation, I ordered a chicken Caesar salad no tomato. The salad comes (about $9), and it's just a box of lettuce with a side of dressing. I call, tell them that there was a mistake, I ordered a CHICKEN Caesar salad, they first responded with, no you ordered a Caesar salad no tomato, that's what it says on the receipt. I said I see that, but it's not what I ordered. They responded with-ok well we are busy so you will get a $3.50 credit for the chicken. After that I said I'd never order from there again. Then, my husband ordered about a week ago, cheesesteak and mozzarella fries well done. The mozzarella fries came and they were literally charcoal. well first off I tried to order for delivery and all of the sudden they don't deliver to my establishment so I called back to order pick up and I spoke to a young female who is extremely ignorant she then gave the phone to a mail he wasn't as ignorant but customer service could've been nicer. I ordered a cheesesteak a small pizza french fries and two milkshakes they tell me 15 minutes I go to pick it up and the total was close to $40 seems a little high for what I ordered but anyway the girl had originally told me the total was $27 so I gave her $30 she hands me six dollars in change which totally did not make sense then yells at me and says I gave her the wrong money I said no you told me it was $27 she said no I said it was $37 so I gave her the money back she had for my food I said I'm supposed to have two milkshakes she copped an attitude with me and said oh yeah... then as she was pissed off having to make them she stood behind the counter and talked shit about it handed me my milkshakes which releasing all over the place I get to my car and realize I'm missing my cheesesteak so I go back in again and say I was supposed to have a cheesesteak to which she argued but then realized she was wrong they made my cheesesteak and sent me on my way I will never order from this place again I used to order from here all the time and never had an issue but for some reason tonight they completely bombed and their customer service sucks when I asked the gentleman if he was the owner he replied yes and he can treat people the way he wants ....unbelievable completely unbelievable to me fair warning guys order at your own risk read more
