    Garlic knot
    Kim H.

Oh my gosh!!! We loved this place. We were just passing by on our way to an engagement and saw this place and decided this is where we will eat afterwards. Our server Rosa was a delight!!! The garlic knots were scrumptious and our taco pizza amazing. The beer was cold and the place was very clean.

    Greek Salad

I used to come here all the time when I was in High school and finally decided to meet up with couple of my friends here! As I walked in, I realized NOTHING has changed!! It was like I was in high school all over again! only thing that changed was...NOW THEY ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS!! I was so thrilled because sometimes I would have someone spot me due to the fact that I did not have any cash on me. I ordered a Greek salad and it was delicious! The food came out really fast and the ingredients they used for my salad was fresh. The pizza tasted the same as I remembered 10 years ago!

Grandma's pizza and buffalo chicken salad (no cheese)

Our local pizza spot is pretty good. We usually get plain pizza for the kids and well done french fries. We also like the cheese steak pizza and grandma's pizza. Lately we have been getting their buffalo chicken salad which is so good!

A Margherita pizza with added chicken...apparently they add cheesesteak chicken.

Great local pizza shop. Food is always great and consistent. The staff are friendly and my daughter loves going there.

The important thing though, is that I finally went there today and got a cheesesteak with fried onions. The first thing I did when I got home was weigh it. 2.3 lbs of cheesesteak goodness. Naturally, the enormity of the thing comes at a cost: $19.10 out the door. Being honest, I don't know what started this trend of "more food than you can possibly eat", but it's "a thing" now, so what can you do? Buy it, and share or save half for later. But, back to the steak. I'd say the closest competitor that I'm aware of would be High Steaks in Ambler, but in terms of meat to cheese ratio and flavor, I'm giving Verona the edge. In fact, I'd say it's the best or tied with the best cheesesteak I've ever eaten, and I'm old - so that's saying a lot. So we've got a great a steak that will easily serve two, a friendly staff, and prices within the realm of what you'd expect for August 2026. In addition to those tangible things, I take some joy in seeing that the choke hold once around the wallets of locals by that other place that shares it's name with it's location, has finally been broken. Competition is a great thing, and when you're greeted with a smile and a "thank you" that accompanies your order, that makes a huge difference, and is very refreshing. Overall: Delicious cheesesteak, friendly service, and they seem to appreciate that you're giving them your business. That's an A+ in my book.

I pity the fool who tries to finish this sandwich in one sitting. I'm estimating about 5 - 7 pounds of meaty goodness. Surprisingly well seasoned.

When we started using online delivery we discovered this place and decided to try it. It has been consistently great. It's hard to take a good photo of takeout food and I had already taken a bite out of my bread before I thought of it. Today we had Fettuccine Alfredo and an Eggplant Parm sandwich. Both were great. The Fettuccine Alfredo was delicious and and the salad was crisp and fresh. No bad pieces of lettuce. The bread I have gotten from other pizza delivery has been mediocre at best. Sometimes just a hoagie roll drenched in garlic butter. Ugh. This bread is like a garlic knot but made flat and cut into wedges. My husband got the Eggplant Parm sandwich and he said it was great! We have ordered from here a few times now and some other things we ordered were a Pizza Steak, a Cheeseburger, Plain Pizza, an Italian Stromboli, Plain Pizza, and a Sausage Stromboli. All were very good! Oh, and their prices are very reasonable. I never feel like I am being "price-gouged"!

From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.
