I only have one picture to share--I was too busy enjoying the fresh veggies and deliscious house dressing which perfectly accompanied it. The pita was warm and toasty. Plus i was a whole pita! Dining method: Catering Item(s) ordered: I ate the Cleopatra wrap, but we ordered several others. The review: The cleopatra wrap was brimming with tabouli (tabbouleh?) and flavor. For a vegan option, it proved very filling and flavorful. That being said, the falafel was very dry and, in the middle of a work meeting, that might not be the best to have in your throat. The catering arrived slightly late into the meeting, so I would just make sure they know if there's a hard deadline. Wonderful service. Can't really speak to the food since I never received it. I ordered the food through Yelp via GrubHub to BWH for my wife, who had just delivered a baby. I waited early for the food to arrive while I was waiting it was marked as "delivered" I was never called as requested and no photo or text was sent to me regarding the status of the delivery. After struggling with GrubHub, customer support I was able to finally have the order canceled 30 minutes later. Service is fine but the gyro didn't taste like anything but salt. It was so terrible. I had to rinse my mouth out and gargle at the sink three times and I still taste salt like I drank sea water. I think it's the meat that is so salty so it actually was worse that they put so much of it. read more

He parked in the middle of the street, made me come out to the middle of the street when it was pouring rain and then he continued to cuss me out about how he doesn't have time to be finding my building when he has another 30 orders that night. Mama's has always held a special place in my heart as it was one of the first restaurants that I went to in Boston. Located in the Longwood medical area, it has been an extremely convenient spot to grab food after an extremely long day at the hospital. Honestly, the gyros are top notch here! Ambience is super casual. The only thing I would change would be lowering the price of those delicious curly fries as I think paying over $7 for fries is almost robbery. I am a Greek gal writing this so please bear that in mind as you read this review. Growing up with YIaYia cooking homemade Greek food makes it a bit difficult to rate Mama's more than 3 stars. The egg lemon soup was watery instead of really rich and velvety as is should be. The tzatziki was definitely not made but them but bought from some company who DOES NOT KNOW how to make it. Not tangy and tasty. Homemade has a pucker from the fresh lemon juice used to make it which makes it so delicious. The giros would have been better with a better tzatziki.. it really did not do to the giro what it should which is to pull all the flavors together. Though I thought it is priced righ, I do not think I could return. I will say the staff was just wonderful and very accommodating. Really nice young men. Hope the owners read this and improve on at least the things I mentioned. read more

Great food at an affordable price. I've ordered burgers, fries, onions rings, and shakes from this place several times now and I've never had any complaints about the quality of the food. The burgers taste great and the fries are the average run of the mill take-out fries I would expect when I order out. I enjoy how customizable the plates are on their online ordering system. The onion rings in particular are delicious and I highly recommend them. Mama's Place is definitely a go-to when you are sick of eating the typical American food, Chinese food, and Indian food. I looked them up on Yelp and saw that people rave about their beef kebab plate. I was not disappointed! I highly recommend it. I've also had other items, such as fried mac&cheese and fish&chips. So yummy! I definitely recommend their fried mac&cheese. The staff is also really friendly and attentive! They make you feel at home. I still have yet to try other items on their menu, but I'm sure they are all amazing. It's a really small restaurant, located on the corner of Wait St. and Huntington Ave. It's pretty hard to find parking, so I suggest taking the T (you get off at Brigham or Fenwood Road) if you want to sit down and eat. They're also not expensive at $6.50 per sandwich. I've also had their fish and chips. I had to try them since the cashier actually wore a t-shirt that read "mmm..fish and chips". For 9 bucks you get three big pieces of cod on top of steak fries, a cup of coleslaw, and tartar sauce. Unfortunately, the cod is overwhelmed by thick, hard, breading.
