Good food, humble service at a stone drop location. The ambiance is casual. The service is quick, and everything arrived warm. The people are nice and welcome with a smile. The flavors are good too. They certainly know how to cook rice as they were fragrant and fluffy. I would recommend them to everyone living in the neighborhood. I would prefer to dine-in over takeaway as it might be a personal preference.

beef and lamb kabob with a full side of basmati rice.

I'll keep this short and sweet. Service was great, the manager or owner (or worker), was friendly (not overtly) but professional. It started with a huge portion of baked Lebanese bread fresh and piping hot from the oven. Next time, I'll order a side of hummus for dipping in addition to the oil and herbs that they provide. I'm usually a bit skeptical with it comes to kabobs at a Middle Eastern/Persian restaurant but this place exceeded my expectations. And the price point on the menu was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. The lamb, beef, chicken meats were all done perfectly and very tender. They give you a generous side of basmati rice and tabouleh (half and half) with the kabob plates. And to top it off, they remove the skewer stick so you don't have to struggle with it. If/when I'm back in the area, will definitely stop by to try some other dishes.

This place always makes me happy. The food is delicious. The warm complimentary pita in the start is amazing. Then the food one orders come in shortly. The service is great at this place. The restaurant is located near the Orenco station and there is road side parking near by. So no reason not to go to check out the delicious Persian food.

The fresh bread was warm and super tasty. The lamb shank was insanely tender like, fall off the bone good and the saffron rice was perfectly seasoned. Even the vegan wrap was super delicious! Loved the music! Everything hit the spot!

    Lamb shawarma wrap. Yummy!

Friday night date night with Wife N, continuing our quest for great local shawarma. Tonight's dinner out finds us at Salam Restaurant in Orenco Station, Friday evening, 6:30. The place was pretty lightly filled for a Friday evening, maybe 30% capacity. We were immediately seated and the biggest fresh pita I've ever seen (probably 16") was brought to the table along with some olive oil and a lovely dried herb mix to dip. Pita was fabulous. I ordered the Veggie Dolmeh (rice wrapped in grape leaves), and we each ordered a lamb shawarma wrap. The veggie dolmeh had a recipe I couldn't resist trying: rice, lentils, raisins and dill. This unusual combination gave them a sweet, almost pipe-tobacco-like aroma and flavor. I'm not 100% convinced I loved them, but definite points for the unique recipe. The shawarma wraps hit the spot, though both Wife N and I thought the meat itself was under-marinated and not as flavorful as some other places we've tried. In all, a perfectly fine spot for a quick Mediterranean dinner and Orenco Station itself is a beautiful place to stroll around after.

The food is good and I specifically enjoyed the HARRA PIZZA - the spice just feels right ...if you don't like spicy food stay away from it Their hummus is awesome too

    Falafel Wrap

I was hungry and this was the only decent place open near our apartment. They were friendly and welcoming though the place was completely empty on Friday one hour before closing... I'm still glad I tried their falafel wrap and fries (they're $1 off if you get them as a side to your wrap). The fries weren't crunchy but they were real potatoes which I think is difficult to find lol. The wrap wasn't the best I've tried but it was huge compared to other places I'd say it's like twice the size. The downside was the bread which was tough and the falafel which was soft and not crunchy at all. Maybe it's their style but I expected the falafel to be crunchy. Oh and if you don't like raw onions don't forget to ask them to remove them :)

    Freshly baked Lebanese bread

My second visit in 10 days. The restaurant served every table with freshly baked signature bread straight from the open door oven. I have tried their hummus, eggplant appetizer, falafels, house salad, and sampler dessert plate. They also served cocktail and alcohol. Everything I tried was amazing. Service always attentive

Very moist, tender and loads of flavor, unlike most places that serve it drier than a week old biscuit. Their Hummus is creamy and delicious. The best I've had anywhere and it comes with a huge piece of flatbread. The rice was light and fluffy, steamed to perfection. Atmosphere is warm, cozy Mediteranian; service was fast and attentive; food was abundant and delicious; prices are fair and very reasonable. Seriously nothing not to love about this amazing restaurant! My only complaint is their takeout boxes are made of single-use plastic.

It's rare to find a place that nails the "hidden gem" feel while providing such a polished, upscale atmosphere. Here is why Oasis is my absolute favorite: The Ambiance: The interior is beautiful and incredibly unique. They have these cozy, fabric-tented booths that make your meal feel private and intimate--perfect for a date night or a long catch-up with friends. It truly feels like an "oasis" once you step inside. The Mezza Plate Sampler: If it's your first time, you must order this. It's the best way to try a bit of everything--the hummus is velvety, the baba ghanouj has that perfect smoky char, and the falafel is served hot and crispy. The Lamb Shank: This is the ultimate comfort food. The meat literally falls off the bone and is seasoned with a blend of Middle Eastern spices that are aromatic but not overwhelming. Pair it with their basmati rice, and you're in heaven. Specialty Drinks: Their Rose Water Lemonade is life-changing--so refreshing and not too sweet. If you're a coffee lover, the Turkish Coffee is the perfect way to end the meal. The Experience: On Friday and Saturday nights, they often have belly dancing performances, which adds such a vibrant, cultural energy to the room. It makes the whole night feel like an event rather than just a dinner. Exceptional Service: The staff here is so welcoming and fast. Even when the restaurant is full, they are incredibly attentive and happy to explain the menu or accommodate dietary needs (lots of great gluten-free and vegan options!). Pro Tip: If you like a little heat, ask for their spicy garlic sauce. It's addictive and goes well with just about everything on the menu. Whether you're a local or just passing through Beaverton, Oasis is a must-visit. You'll come for the food, but you'll stay for the incredible vibes!

Today, my sister and I went to the art store around the corner. After we finished shopping, she mentioned she was hungry. I told her Karam's is around the corner. It was the first time I dined in. What I liked is that you order and pay at the counter. My sister and I ordered and paid separately. I knew what I wanted and the guy at the counter pointed out that they had exactly what I wanted. I wanted falafel over salad with tahini sauce. There was also a lemon dressing. It was vegan and gluten free. The falafels were huge and tasty..some of the best falafels I've had! My sister got a beet salad, lentil soup and coffee. She liked everything she got. I took a taste of her lentil soup, it was good. She took a taste of my falafel. There were a couple of employees present and they said hello but that was pretty much it. So I'll just get straight to the point. The food wasn't the best. First, it was overpriced. Second, the lamb was very fatty. Honestly, it's almost like it was scrap meat. The pita tasted underdone and lastly, the Fattoush was off (the lettuce was warm in an old way, if that makes sense, and they completely forgot the pita chips that's supposed to come with it). I don't mean to be so harsh but I'm from Los Angeles so I know what good Mediterranean food should taste like. And maybe it's unfair to even compare... but I feel it's the best and only way to gauge how good a place is, and unfortunately, this place wasn't it. Honestly, the only thing I liked was the basmati rice and the fact that they serve Coca-Cola products. Other than that, I can't recommend this place. Sorry...
