I love how Baytown is growing the community certainly enjoys new places. Decided to grab some food before heading the movies and we choose to try out Mambos. Let's start with the atmosphere; it is very spacious and a welcoming environment. Seating is open to whenever you like outside is available as well. Once we found a table; it took a while for someone to acknowledge. I understand this is a new place and they are still trying to get situated but I hope this improves. The quality of their food is really good along with their drinks. If you enjoy spicy beverages try a michelada those are yummy. Paying for your bill is done with your waitress. I'm so stuffed! The fish and shrimp mamba ranchero is so good and it's so much food! I usually come in for a couple Micheladas but tonight I dropped by for some food. Graciela was awesome behind the bar. I didn't have to ask for a refill on my Coke and she even checked on my food a couple times before it was even done. Such a surprise! Usually I avoid chain restaurants. I prefer smaller businesses. We ordered crawfish, a margarita, fish kid's meal, shrimp fried rice, and a salmon basket that included fried rice, fries, and a roll. It came to be $49. The crawfish texture, size, and seasoning were really good. Although the price was $8 per pound in peak crawfish season. The fries were really good. The only complaint was that we came on a busy day and food was slow to come out. read more

Today my family and I decided to give Mambo's a try again and to our surprise the food was very good and service was much better then our previous visit . Terrible service. Waitress got order wrong. Date had to wait while I ate while it was hot. Had to ask waitress several times for the salad that came with the meal. After a 30 minute dinner turned into a hour and a half. After asking for bill she continued to wait on and serve everyone else on the patio. I came to eat with my family today we asked to take our food to go around 8:37 we didn't know that the restaurant was closing at 9 due to this Covid virus we understand that they have a closing time we got there at 8:48 and asked for our food we decided to eat there since people were still going in and eating. We were seated and my brother went to pay for the food and my dad asked if we could get drinks ( asked the manager ) she said they'd bring them right over we sat down and waited for our food( 2lb of fried fish and a family rice) A waiter came and told us that there was " no more rice" and asked if we wanted a refund yet my brother had just gone up to the counter to pay. We asked for the manager by the way the staff looks way too young and lacked experience. The manager came to us and explained why we didn't get our rice and she tried to offer us another plate after a refund. Our family was really upset by then and my dad decided that it was ok we were going to get up and leave with what we had. We asked if we could have our drinks to go and she said "im sorry no. " The manager told us she was sorry because she had to go control the people outside trying to sit to a meal and she told us " my waitresses don't want to take in more people" , by that time we confirmed that there is a problem with the staff and their management. Our understanding from that comment is that because the waitresses say so, they're not providing anymore service By the way when we called we were confirmed that if we were to go in before 9 they would still seat and serve us. I make the best fried rice in the whole world, but when i want to eat a good fried rice other than mine, mambo is where i go. their fried rice is really great. i have to taste the rest of the food but as far as the rice it is great, very friendly and professional staff always there asking you if all is ok. read more

Thought we would try the new sea food place here in Baytown for our date night. This restaurant is dirty, horrible service, food is nasty and the over all experience was just horrible.
