I think this is now called Happy Crawfish. I've only ordered Crawfish from here, so my 4 star review is regarding the Crawfish and the restraunt. I ordered at the counter. The food came out quick. The crawfish tasted just as good as any other place. Maybe I've had better a few times. The atmosphere isn't amazing or anything. I think this place is good and deserves 4 stars. A good option for crawfish. read more

This place is small, when you walk in you'll want to order your food first at the registers & then seat yourself. The seafood boil was good but I think the star of this place were the beignets, I stopped in 1 more time after my first visit just to get another 2 more orders of beignets! Heaven on earth!! read more

The place was so empty when I got here. Crawfish was not pleasant and smelled horrendous. It seemed it was dead before I got here and they just boiled it as soon as we ordered. It was really dirty too. Service is so-so. There was an egg (?) It looked so moldy and black, definitely not worth $76 of my money. read more

Walked in, walked out. Lady was on the phone, did not greet us or acknowledge us till we were standing there looking at her! She was on the phone but for the prices they were charging, I expect a lil customer service! And place looked pretty dumpy! Tables were all beat up and chairs looked really old! 4 to 5 monitors and they were all dark? I am guessing they were to show the menu! Spend your money elsewhere! read more

Happened to know that my friend owns this location in Baytown (LA Crawfish is a franchise by the way!) when I was in Houston in January! I get to try the crawfish pho that seems to be people's favorite on Yelp. Finish the bowl so fast because it is so full of flavors. There are a bunch of small crawfish, all peeled inside, and the broth is so tasty with a thick layer of garlic butter floating on top! I ask to try the sauce, so they bring out a small bowl of it to dip the crawfish with. And I end up adding a spoon-full of that sauce in my pho, too! Pictured are a big bag (3lbs) of crawfish in Garlic Butter sauce (same sauce that they use to add flavor to the pho broth. This one is very spicy, so I try only one crawfish!), 1 small bag of the Hot and Sour sauce, some Chicken Wings, Waffle Cut Sweet Potato Fries, Cheesy Crawfish Rolls, and Beignets. I didn't try the wings and the fries so couldn't speak of that, but heard the wings were a bit too salty. Overall, I'm very surprised and pleased with the experience! The best part is the crawfish here is live all year round. 5 stars for the crawfish pho alone at this Baytown locatio from me! read more

Got the basket with tilapia and shrimp. It was ok. Not a ton of flavor, pretty mild. I also had a seafood gumbo. It had crawfish that were a little tough and 1 piece of crab. Like I said is was ok. Try it you may like it. read more

Came here for lunch. Easy to get a table with no wait time. Staff was friendly. A few of us ordered the fried shrimp basket. For lunch, the portion was plenty. Loved the seasoning they used on the shrimp. A little different than your normal friend shrimp. And the fries in the basket were waffle crispy fries, with lots of seasoning.. sooo good! I can normally finish fries, but this basket j couldn't, plenty to eat. Another friend had the garlic noodles. The restaurant is located right next to the new ramen and poke bowl place that just opened up Which is actually closed on mondays so we came here as a second choice. Remembering that the last time I was there (2 years ago) wasn't worth my time or money, I was hopeful that it would be a different experience this time around. Nope. Still the same disappointment. I wonder how they stay in business? Because the food is definitely not good. Every time I order something I'm always just disappointed because it lacks flavor, especially for a place who claims they are "Cajun". And don't even get me started on the service. So again I ask, how are they still in business?? Just close down already. Bring a better restaurant to the location cause this ain't it. read more

I paid $86 on 02/25/2022 at the Wallisville Road location. The Crawfish were so dirty and had not been purged. They were disgusting and the wings were burnt and dry and just nasty. I know crawfish and these were probably dead before they were cooked because most of them smelt so bad. I guess the owners do not care about quality of food. I really wish they would've reached out and giving me a refund on this mess. Do not go here you will waste your money and probably get food poisoning. read more

Ordered over 5 pounds of crawfish and at least half of the order were over cooked which caused them to be very mushy. Highly disappointed La Crawfish. You're a franchise, should know better than to sell the mushy crawfish. Doesn't matter if you're a new location. read more

I really was looking forward to having crawfish on today. The seasoning was amazing but the problem is that the crawfish was not fresh. They taste as if they were frozen. A waste of my money. The corn was bland as well when it comes to the taste of the corn itself, the season and the butter on the corn was good! I have been 2 other places for crawfish and this was the only place that the crawfish taste as if it was frozen and the only place that the crawfish were so small. read more

Had my order delivered, no utensils, drink that was ordered was not delivered as well. The 1# of shrimp in garlic butter and 2 sausage links were packaged in a plastic bag together with the garlic butter. A knot was tied in the bag and then put in a paper bag then in a delivery bag. Of course it leaked and everything in the bag was covered in butter with no way to pour it out cleanly and no way to eat other than reach in to bag. Big mess. It was good but not good enough to go thru that again. read more

Really nice atmosphere! The cajun spicy crawfish was seasoned hot, but the heads were dry. They give a plastic table cloth to eat on, so less clean up. Can't complain, it just didn't make me go WOW. Corn and potatoes were ok, but ala carte. The fried crawfish were ok, but did not have the crunchy breading...was fried in cornmeal. Over all, was filling and did the job. read more

WAY OVER PRICED! Called in an order to go. When I got there 30 minutes later they "forgot" to prepare my order. Took nearly an HOUR even though BOTH times I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. If you want good crawfish at a reasonable price go somewhere else! Crawfish Hideaway is worth the drive to Mont Belvieu. Hell I'd drive to Anahuac to The Crawfish Place before I'll order from here again! read more

So I ordered 1 pound of barbecue shrimp, pic not shown, 2 pounds of shrimp, and a pound of snow crab legs it was 75 dollars this is what I received. I got 1 potato y'all. For real!!! These people are crooks and I promise nothing weighed what it should my pound of snow crab was less 1/2 pound I weighed it myself!!! I will never go here again and neither should you. read more

The food is good, but the employees obviously don't follow any food regulations. Eating corn and sausage behind the counter while serving food to customers & not washing their hands. It's completely unsanitary & gross. I wont be eating here ever again. read more

Worse customer service ever!!! I understand you, the young lady at counter, that you have to work, earn a living. Maybe you feel that your job isn't worth your time, it isn't paying you enough. But a hello, how are you, how can I help you? Would be much better than your sour face attitude. Just dropping the order on the table without a single thank you or would y'all need anything else, could actually give you some tips to add to your earnings... it's sad that the owner doesn't see the value in great customer service. Covid should never be an excuse!!!! You want ppl to come out and support small businesses? You need to up your game with customer service, food quality, and cleanliness of your restaurant! read more

Great food, awesome staff, spectacular service, and amazing environment. Food: my favorites are hands down anything with shrimp. Love the extra sauces they call enhancements for their seafood! YUM get the shebang- garlic butter mixed with cajun! Hot&sour flavor is also my fav. Poboys and pho are unique. I ordered the crawfish pho and crawfish empanada. The pho is huge and priced good at $7.99. Lots of good flavor but a little too salty for my tastebuds. It's kind of in industrial and out of the way, but it is definitely worth it. My server agreed to be with a beautiful smile in Texas hospitality. We had the fried green tomatoes and fried cheese for appetizers; both were good but the tomatoes would've been better with some shrimp on top. I had a grilled fish sandwich that was pretty good. My wife tried the crawfish bisque, even though she was skeptical since we weren't in Louisiana, but she said it was surprisingly good. My granddaughters had chicken tenders and a cheeseburger and were completely satisfied. Best of all were the cinnamon raisin rolls - those things are the truth! Looking forward to returning on our next visit to the area.

Now for the food... there was so much we wanted to try like the fried trio (zucchini, mushrooms, and pickles), but we chose the bacon deviled eggs and they did not disappoint! The bacon was candied and oh so good. They have a really good salad bar, and the waitress charged us for the kids portion since we were all getting meals that didn't come with a trip. Lots of good toppings to choose from. They have yummy rolls with honey cinnamon butter. My only complaint was the ranch and blue cheese was a bit too runny, and the blue cheese lacked flavor. My bonus daughter and I split the wings and the seafood platter. The wings are really good, we got hot and cherry jalapeño barbecue. The seafood platter was very good, huge portion, 6 shrimp and 2 large pieces of catfish, and the french fries were awesome. I just wish the tartar sauce tasted a little bit better. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it wasn't my favorite. My husband had the signature sirloin topped with a seafood sauce. It was really good and cooked perfectly. He got the loaded mashed potatoes, but they were very dry, they needed some cream or some butter or both. I also got a side of fried okra, I didn't care for it, not very flavorful and not crispy. My daughter got the kids cheese enchilada dinner, she didn't care for it, she said it was mostly cheese and no tortilla. The dessert menu is extensive, and it was hard to make a choice. I wanted to try the brownie bottom cheesecake, the Keylime pie cheesecake, the bourbon, pecan cheesecake, and the Texas velvet chocolate cake. My daughter and I both went for the Texas velvet chocolate cake. The waitress failed to tell me that the portion size is HUGE. Wish I'd have taken a pic! It's two huge slices of chocolate cake on top of each other. Let me tell you, though, this is one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. The cake part was moist, I hate that word, but I can't think of another word that describes it. Very flavorful and chocolatey. The icing was one of the best I've ever had, it's a chocolate buttercream and so good. We've eaten on this cake for a few days and it is not going to waste, that's for sure. I think the cake was the best part of the meal. Soooo good. My husband got the salted caramel pecan pie, it was very good. He's not a crust person, but he actually ate all the crust, it was so good. Overall, I really like cactus jacks and I would come back. The waitress was mediocre, for example, she told me they didn't have blue cheese, but they obviously did. She wasn't very attentive at the table, took awhile to get refills and we weren't able to get her to get us some butter for the mashed potatoes because she was rarely there, just a bunch of little things... She was very sweet though . The only reason why they got five stars was the chocolate cake, I think they really deserve four stars because their sides and condiments need some work. But, we will give it another try for sure.

I had the lunch fajitas, I'm not a fan of Spanish rice or refried beans. The rice was plain not seasoned. I had the cookie skillet for dessert. Ice Cream was salad as a rock. It even took forever for to melt from the heat of the cookie. Two gentlemen were sitting next to me at the bar. We was noticing how they had a few birthday celebrations that were taking place. Come to find out we both are Aries. Our birthdays are April. So one was nice of enough to pick up my tab.
