    Ribeye and sweet potato

Maybe I got unlucky, but so many things went wrong. Waiter was friendly, but everything else service wise was terrible. Our order got lost somehow, so they came back 25 mins later to retake orders. Then they came back again 15 mins after that to tell us they didn't have ribs that day, so one person had to reorder again. When the entrees finally arrived over an hour after we first ordered, they forgot 2 of the side salads. The person who got the ribs had to wait another 25 mins since he changed to a burger. When it came out, it was rare when he ordered medium well. They took it back to remake it, which took another half hour. Two of the steaks were also overcooked from what we requested. The sides were also cold, I'm assuming because they messed up the order and had them sitting there waiting. They apologized and offered us free dessert and were nice about it at least, so that's the only thing stopping me from giving 1 star.

We went to this location for my husband's birthday. Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed (understandable since it looked like only three servers and a manager were covering the floor). My husband ordered a ribeye, I ordered a filet, and my kids ordered kids' sirloins--all cooked medium. When the food arrived, I was fairly certain that my steak was not a filet. The waitress told me she could "not confirm or deny" what cut it was and said to ask the manager. The manager came over and told me that it was indeed a filet, explaining that they use the whole tenderloin so the filets can look different. Still, it looked identical to my kids' sirloins. Once I cut into it, it was medium-well with well-done edges. At the same time, I noticed my daughter's kids' sirloin plate actually had a filet on it--which explained why mine looked like the others. I pointed this out to the waitress but said there was no need to bring the manager again. He still came back, insisted my steak was a filet, and admitted only that it may have been overcooked. He did offer to re-cook it, but at that point, I didn't want to send it back. I wasn't looking for anything to be comped, but it was disappointing that they couldn't simply acknowledge the mix-up. We paid via the QR code and left. I usually love the LongHorn Steakhouse chain, and this was my third visit to the Baytown location, but unfortunately, this experience has me hesitant to return.

The food was as expected from a chain steakhouse but the service was quite odd we had a waitress whom we saw a couple of times but our food was brought by other servers each time who asked us if we wanted something and when we did ask for say steak sauce it never came and we had to ask someone else. Our waitress was not very attentive. Overall decent food and spotty service we dont plan on going back anytime soon.

CATERING - When hosting events at the house, I use Daniel's frequently to order meat/sausage by the pound to make things easier on me. SERVICE- The folks here are very friendly and helpful. ATMOSPHERE- The decor is warm and inviting. Tables are very big. Very clean environment. Live bands from time to time are a nice touch but it would be better to have a stage outside by the tree. MEAT SELECTION- Initially, they advertised selling wagyu cuts but I've never seen that happen. Overall, I would like to see a larger selection of quality cuts. I HIGHLY recommend a visit to this humble establishment for some of the best bbq in the area.

We stopped by Daniel's Meat Market expecting good barbecue, but the food completely missed the mark. The chopped beef sandwich was honestly terrible -- it tasted like fish, which is the last thing you expect from beef. It wasn't even chopped fresh in front of us; it was sitting in a big pan, and there was absolutely no barbecue flavor at all. My wife and I each took one bite and couldn't eat it. We ended up throwing the whole thing away. We also tried my son's brisket, and it was just as disappointing. No smoky flavor, no real brisket taste -- just bland and forgettable. I'm not trying to be harsh, just honest. We really wanted to like it, but the quality just wasn't there. Very disappointed overall.

They do have live bands so it may get loud, if that's not your thing. Now for the food... there was so much we wanted to try like the fried trio (zucchini, mushrooms, and pickles), but we chose the bacon deviled eggs and they did not disappoint! The bacon was candied and oh so good. They have a really good salad bar, and the waitress charged us for the kids portion since we were all getting meals that didn't come with a trip. Lots of good toppings to choose from. They have yummy rolls with honey cinnamon butter. My only complaint was the ranch and blue cheese was a bit too runny, and the blue cheese lacked flavor. My bonus daughter and I split the wings and the seafood platter. The wings are really good, we got hot and cherry jalapeño barbecue. The seafood platter was very good, huge portion, 6 shrimp and 2 large pieces of catfish, and the french fries were awesome. I just wish the tartar sauce tasted a little bit better. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it wasn't my favorite. My husband had the signature sirloin topped with a seafood sauce. It was really good and cooked perfectly. He got the loaded mashed potatoes, but they were very dry, they needed some cream or some butter or both. I also got a side of fried okra, I didn't care for it, not very flavorful and not crispy. My daughter got the kids cheese enchilada dinner, she didn't care for it, she said it was mostly cheese and no tortilla. The dessert menu is extensive, and it was hard to make a choice. I wanted to try the brownie bottom cheesecake, the Keylime pie cheesecake, the bourbon, pecan cheesecake, and the Texas velvet chocolate cake. My daughter and I both went for the Texas velvet chocolate cake. The waitress failed to tell me that the portion size is HUGE. Wish I'd have taken a pic! It's two huge slices of chocolate cake on top of each other. Let me tell you, though, this is one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. The cake part was moist, I hate that word, but I can't think of another word that describes it. Very flavorful and chocolatey. The icing was one of the best I've ever had, it's a chocolate buttercream and so good. We've eaten on this cake for a few days and it is not going to waste, that's for sure. I think the cake was the best part of the meal. Soooo good. My husband got the salted caramel pecan pie, it was very good. He's not a crust person, but he actually ate all the crust, it was so good. Overall, I really like cactus jacks and I would come back. The waitress was mediocre, for example, she told me they didn't have blue cheese, but they obviously did. She wasn't very attentive at the table, took awhile to get refills and we weren't able to get her to get us some butter for the mashed potatoes because she was rarely there, just a bunch of little things... She was very sweet though . The only reason why they got five stars was the chocolate cake, I think they really deserve four stars because their sides and condiments need some work. But, we will give it another try for sure.

The margarita was strong. The bartender was nice. Yesterday I stopped by for lunch. Service was good. However, I was disappointed in the food. I had the lunch fajitas, I'm not a fan of Spanish rice or refried beans. The rice was plain not seasoned. I had the cookie skillet for dessert. Ice Cream was salad as a rock.
